PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Amos believes in Amos, and not much else.

It isn't that he's incapable, It's just he's learned over the years that helping others isn't exactly the best way to help yourself. Cut through his rather stoically comedic extrerior and perhaps he might make a decent enough friend. Some have regretted and others have not.

Either way, Amos is generally easy enough to get along with. Prickly to some circles, but pleasant to others. He generally believes that getting along is the better path, though mostly because it will make him more money and lead to less trouble.

'Amos First' - It's an easy ethos to remember.

STRENGTHS
[+]Pilot: Amos grew up blasting wo-naw, Podracing. Paw took him to the shop nearly ever morning, and the young lad spent every day around every manner or racer and speedster. This quickly developed into him showing a natural affinity for piloting, and through pulling in some favors Amos' father managed to enter him in some races. Before long the young man racked up more than a few titles, eventually retiring for reasons still left unspoken.

[+]Mechanic: Practically growing up in his fathers repair shop, Amos is an exceptional engineer and mechanic. Able to both design and build, Amos is extremely proud of his ability to utilize and still make ancient technology wortwhile. He is extremely proud of his ship The Orchid. A vessel that runs with a surprising smoothness given the age of it's original chassis.

WEAKNESSES
[-]Uncouth: Growing up around his paw and racers, mechanics, and the other lowlifes that tend to hang around podracing Amos doesn't exactly have whats known as tact. Blunt, direct, and absolutely in it for himself Amos tends to rub a lot of people the wrong way. Not to say he isn't charming, truthfully, this weakness is more of a character flaw. It's going to get him into trouble though I promise.

[-]I'm Just a Dude: Ya'll are fucking nuts. I'm just a guy in the galaxy, kriff.

HISTORY
Amos' history is spotty at best. Tatooine is hardly the best place to keep records, and in his profession it doesn't exactly pay to advertise.

That being said, after an ale or two Amos is friendly enough. He'll answer a question or two when asked. The smuggler will tell his tale of being born on Tatooine, far out in the desert sands around Mos Espa. his father was a mechanic, with a special affinity towards the speeders and other vehicles the people of Tatooine used in their day to day lives. Growing up around that sort of thing, it was easy to come to love it.

By the time he was ten, Amos had thrown himself into his father's work almost full time. Preferring it to any other sort of education. From there, the leap to his real passion was an easy one; racing.

Though it came simply from speeders at first, his true sport was Pod-racing itself. The famed jewel of the Tatooine scene. Competing with cobbled together junkers at first, Amos quickly earned himself a reputation for being an effective pilot. Unfortunately for him, the lack of funding quickly forced him into a plateau. Luckily, Tatooine has many different avenues for earning a few creds, though Amos remains somewhat vague on which he used.

Eventually however, whatever means he'd found to fund his racing career propelled him to the heights he'd always sought. A fact which only caught up with him when instead of repaying his benefactors, he spent the winnings and went on the run.

This decision, whether bad or good, has been the crux of much of Amos' life. Those who offered him coin eventually came for it, and the consequences were not faced by Amos himself.

From there his sstory bounces and spins into a dozen different tales, each of them leading him from crew to crew until eventually ending up on the junkyard world of Praxis. There he found himself with a pocket full of credits and an open eye. One which eventually fell upon the ship that would become the Orchid. A simple freighter, ancient beyond belief, but with a charm that he could not keep away from.

With his credits, Amos restored the Orchid himself and the help of a new friend. Setting off into the galaxy on whatever adventure he could find.
