DESCRIPTION

Ambrose Studios is currently the largest entertainment company operating on Pylos Satnik, employing an array of writers, directors, producers and performers to produce a variety of entertainment. While most productions are made by Pylantians, for Pylantians, they have also found an audience in the wider galaxy, even winning awards and other recognitions.

Though they have achieved critical acclaim, the studio has also faced criticism. The studio head and founder, Chi-Chi Ambrose, is not Pylantian, and many of its highest positions of power are held by non-Pylantians, raising concerns about potential exploitation of employees. But perhaps due to the non-competitive nature of the Pylantian people, there have been few complaints from the Pylantians themselves.

RATIONALE

Ambrose Studios is the brainchild of Chi-chi Ambrose, a Pa'lowick entertainment mogul. Seeing the potential in bringing movie-making to people who had never seen a holo before, she sought to give the denizens of primitive and backwater worlds a chance to express themselves through the medium. One of the worlds she chose was Pylos Satnik, home of the Pylantians, who at the time had only recently made contact with the rest of the galaxy. She put together a film crew and traveled to the planetary capital of Ry'lyeh, where she hired actors to star in a movie based on the titled Blue Harvest. After months of shooting, the completed film was shown at the Intergalactic Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation. With the movie's success, Ambrose has continued to fund projects on the planet, stating that she enjoys working with the Pylantians.
