SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Mag-sealed doors
  • Density projector
  • Airlocks (primary + 2 secondary)
  • Advanced air filtration and contamination scan systems
  • Backup air supply
  • Redundant inertial dampeners

Strengths:
  • Like your average high-end bomb shelter, can hold plenty of civilians in excellent safety.
  • Can withstand artillery barrages and your average un-sustained orbital bombardment.
  • Can use density projectors to make itself much more difficult to move.
  • Sloped sides offer improved armor thickness against lateral attacks.
Weaknesses:
  • Defensive gunners and pilot have low visibility and must rely on vulnerable gun cameras and limited sensors.
  • Always slower and less maneuverable than any other landspeeder.
  • Cannot reposition when affected by high-gravity traps.
  • Cannot reposition when density projector is damaged, due to risk of extreme heaviness.
DESCRIPTION
Theed is not a large city. The marshes near Otoh Gunga are not bursting with durable, convenient real estate. No question about it, static bomb shelters just aren't practical. Enter the Ambit.

Consider this. You and your loved ones bail out of your home and adjourn at maximum speed. Soothing voices direct you to the nearest shelter, which is just settling onto the street or the nearest open space after an airdrop. Theedian flagstones crack beneath the mobile bunker's intense weight, but what are flagstones next to lives? You take refuge in the hunk of doonium. Powerful shields enfold your beloved family. What's this? A chemical weapon? Filtered. A crashing battlecruiser? Survived, at least for now. An enemy legion? Foiled in detail. Within your bomb shelter, you sit and sit some more. Eventually a friendly cruiser wanders by overhead. Your pilot deactivates your density projector and tractor beams scoop your bunker and all its occupants into a continuation of the same profound safety. Safe within the warm embrace of redundant inertial dampeners and top-grade shields, you wait out the battle and emerge to rebuild.
