APPEARANCE:
Average height, slender and somewhat curvy frame. Althea has auburn hair, fair skin that tends to burn easily, and a few light freckles across her nose. She has hazel eyes that look green-ish is most light. Her manner of dress is fairly shabby.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born to a rancher on the farm-world of Taanab, Althea grew up on a vast acreage. She grew up in a large family, one of the youngest, and was used to being overlooked by her siblings. As a child, she was able to wander their fields and the woods that surrounded their home. One day, she met a young boy around her age –Billy Borgan, from a rival family. The Beckets and the Borgans had a feud that went way back. In fact, it was so long ago that many didn’t even remember what sparked it in the first place. Despite the feud, Althea and Billy became good friends, often playing together in the woods.
In their late teens, the two struck up something of a romance. They were able to carry on in secret for some time, before Althea’s brothers found them one afternoon. The two were torn apart, the Becket brothers left Billy with threats upon his head if he ever laid eyes on Althea again. Althea’s father was furious when he found out and reacted rather harshly – turning his own daughter out of the family home.
She departed that night; with only a small bag of belongings… she never had that much to her own name anyway. Althea still loved Billy, but she didn’t want to cause any more trouble for him, so she left without a word. Althea remained on Taanab for a short while, working as a farmhand near town in order to scrape together enough to get off world. Once she was able, she left home and began to do some light freighter hauling.
Eventually, she saved up enough to buy an old ship – a fixer-upper, if she ever saw one. Now, she lives aboard her personal ship (with an orange tabby cat companion), and goes wherever work takes her, in search of the next big thing.
