 Alright, how am I doing?

Been hesitant to post this, but coming up to 200 posties for Eve now and I feel like it's a good time in her story to reach out for feedback.

How do you all think it's going? I'm curious to know your thoughts on Eve and her story so far. I like to think the slow progression is going well for her, but I am open to critique and such. What would you like to see more from her etc?

I'm also just interested in feedback on my writing generally. I've only been back on with RP since November/December time, after a very long break, and I'm always wanting to improve where I can, so I readily accept any critique in this area.

How about my general courtesy in posts? I want to make sure who I write with have enough inspiration to keep writing with me, and enough space to explore whatever directions they might want to take a thread in. I'm big on communication, so I hope this shines through in my behaviour in the community, and I'm not overbearing or annoying.

Finally, if you permit me to gush, I really do just want to say thank you having me. Even though I'm coming up to 10 years since joining Chaos, I've never felt quite so engaged with the community, nor had so much inspiration over a character, as I do now writing Eve, and I attribute that very much to how wonderful everyone who I've written with so far is. I'm amazed how many great and extremely talented friends I've made in such a short space of time. Genuinely, thank you for having me. <3

Yes, I AM my father's son, proud of it too.
There is so much to her in such a short time. Clearly you have not changed in your storyboards and style. Great work with her. I think she needs some more of a sample size but if it continues down this road she is going to be so layered, and so deep.

That's so kind of you to say, thank you my friend <3 It's definitely still early for her, but now she's done with what is essentially her 'prologue', she'll be venturing further out into the wider galaxy!

...and that includes writing with you! It's high time.

You've written the traumas of war well, especially with a character at such a young age. I look forward to seeing how the things she's seen shape her and change her philosophies and convictions. I appreciate the Letters to Mama series you do, it gives small insights to the character and they ground her making her feel like a real person - very human. My heart goes out to Everest and I find value in her journey.

That's so nice of you to say, thank you my fren <3 I do try my best with her, I wanna do her justice. She mah bebi.

Can't wait to start writing with you, have Eve meet one or more of your charries :3

Eve is adorable! :tappycat:

She's a fun Padawan and very different from the usual ones I've trained. A lot of my Padawans are/were gremlins — wild and chaotic. They're fun but it's really interesting to write with a more gentle soul too, and you portray it well. The encounters and situations we set up really affect her realistically. Not just the big invasion where it's "easy" to be overwhelmed by war and bloodshed. You do the same in our small encounters, like the guy slapping her in the Ord Providence thread.

And slowly, you're having her get stronger and more confident to handle those situations. This shows growth and it's what you should keep doing!

In terms of writing style and the way you collaborate, I've got no critique to offer. We chat a lot about the threads we're doing, but also threads that might have an impact on our story together. It's fun and lets us build something fun together :D

Looking forward to seeing her grow more, and we keep up the Master/Paddy RP!

Thank you Val <3 As I said on DMs, I appreciate writing with you a lot, and with how important Val is in Eve's story I'm grateful to be able to bounce ideas back and forth with you so easily and so often. Thank you for your kind words. I'm super excited to see where this dynamic goes between them!

I think I've said before how much I love Eve.

She seems human, if that makes sense. Things effect her. She can't just go through war and battle and walk out unaffected. Her letters to her mama are adorable. She's growing as well, becoming stronger and more capable.

She's human. Which for Chaos is quite rare.

Thank you so much for saying this, that's really kind of you to say <3 I do try to put a lot of effort into those very raw, human feelings, so it's really nice to know this pays off <3
