- Enhanced Cutting: Connell overcharged the emitters, lens, and crystals on both weapons the cutting power of the sabers to become more potent.
- Enhanced Deflection: The lens and emitter are designed to adjust and allow the blades to switch to a better model for deflection capabilities against blasters and even function against paddle beamers easily enough.
- Crystal Assembly: The enhanced and extended crystal assembly of a long handle lightsaber(Alpha) allows a wielder like Connell the opportunity to place several crystals (his own permafrost, and "Heart of the Guardian") in it and create useful combinations of his sabers effects.

- Dad's Help: Connelll's father Caltin has two lightsabers that he has rebuilt and modded several times over. Observing and taking notes, Connell had learned a lot from his dad and knows hilts inside and out(at least he thinks he does). He knows what he can and cannot do and can operate without thought, which makes his weapons that much more dangerous.
- Enhanced Cutting Power: With the lens and power as well as emitters and crystal combination the cutting power can cut through more materials than an average lightsaber.
- Cortosis and Beskar: Like his father, Connell had never figured out how to cut through Cortosis. Unfortunately he has yet to learn that Beskar is another.
- Overcharged Emitters: Connell knows what he is doing, but there is an inherent flaw in overcharging an emitter, there is a possibility that the blade will lose power mid-fight. No matter what he does, that chance lives on.
Connell Aric Vanagor is very capable with the Force, he is an accomplished hand to hand combatant, he is diplomatic, he is everything that a Jedi is professed to be(more than his father). He is not as physical, physically large, or educated with a lightsaber as others under the same surname. So unlike where many carry(or carried) one, he carries two. One of them is for combat and one is for blocking(when outnumbered).
His use of the weapons comes from training from both of his parents, though he prefers hand to hand combat himself. The light weight of the weapons allow for him to easily incorporate a weapon with his movements in and out of crowds and up close compared to other Jedi and that will hopefully allow him to make his own mark on the galaxy.
