Alone At Last

Chroma Zed

It wasn't often that Sophia got the chance to spend a romantic evening with her fiancée @[member="Josiah Denko"]. They led very busy lives were she was busy taking care of the needs of the planet he was away on missions from the Jedi Council. Any free time that the couple had was spent with their beloved daughter Isabelle. After she was put to bed the two were generally too exhausted to do much else but sleep.

Sophia had been planning this evening with her beloved for weeks now. She had gotten her sister to babysit tonight while she went on a date. It wasn't just any date either as she had rented out the fanciest restaurant on the beach for the night. The private table that she had reserved overlooked the ocean. Sophia just had to hope the weather held for them so they would be able to sit on the deck as planned and dine in the moonlight.

Besides the setting Sophia had spent far too much time shopping for the perfect dress to wear. In the end she settled on a one sleeve knee length flowy blue dress. She knew that he loved her no matter what she wore but she wanted to look her best for the man she loved. Everything had to be perfect down to her painted pink toe nails.

Sophia hadn't told him what they were doing tonight or where they were going just that she had something special planned for just the two of them. She had to at least give him a heads up so he would pencil in their date just like she had.

Spinning around in the mirror Sophia did a double take to make sure there were no wrinkles and her hair, which she had loosely curled, was in place. Once she was satisfied Sophia stepped out of the refreshed. "Ready?" She smiled.

Although the fires of war had long since departed from the face of the Galaxy, the Jedi Order was just as busy as ever. That meant, by extension, that Josiah Denko was as busy as ever; much to his chagrin. Though he adored his return to the Order and his contributions to the Light, he did miss the two most important people in his entire life: his fiancee' and his daughter. Mission after mission, coupled with his duties as an instructor of Younglings, resulted in Josiah's being busy most of the time. In fact, he rarely was able to return home to Chroma Zed on a regular basis; and spent whatever time there catching up on family time. As such, a date night between he and his beloved was long overdue and the Jedi leapt at the opportunity to spent a romantic evening out and about with @[member="Sophia Walsh"].

To this end, Josiah decided to look his absolute best. His hair was neatly groomed and slicked back, his grizzled mane was tamed into a neat goatee, and he abandoned the battleworn armor that he typically wore everywhere. Instead, a three-piece suit occupied the vacancy. Adjusting his tie in the mirror, Josiah then turned just in time to see Sophia dance out with a smile on her face. They had been together for years now, yet she continued to blow him away with how amazing she looked in whatever she put on. Whether it was simply a pair of denims for bumming around the estate, his own shirts, or elegant dresses, Sophia just had a knack for taking Josiah's breath away. A low whistle escaped his lips as she stepped over and he could not help a goofy grin from forming upon his lips.

"You. Look. Amazing." he said simply, before snaking an arm around her waist. Leaning forward, he placed a kiss upon her lips before taking her hand in his. "Alright, lead the way my Queen. You're steering the ship tonight." And that was most certainly the truth of the matter. Sophia had made absolutely certain that Josiah did not know even the slightest detail about their evening's plans; but he was simply content to have a night out and about with his beloved. He sincerely hoped that food was involved in some capacity, however, for he had skipped lunch and his stomach was rather ravenous. "After you." he said with a slight chuckle and an over-enthusiastic bow of his head. The Jedi then reached for the door and held it open so that she might pass; just like a true gentleman.

"You look very handsome yourself my love," she smiled kissing him back. A night out like this was way overdue. It wasn't often she got to spend time with her love. It was part of the reason they hadn't gotten married they kept pushing it off due to schedule conflicts. It didn't bother her much she still had her love and that's all that mattered.

Leaving out the door she waited for him to follow before taking his hand once again. She was absolutely sure that he would love the evening that she had planned for them. "I hope your hungry," she smiled as they walked along to the restaurant. It was a lovely night and it wasn't that far away so she opted to walk. "I thought we would have dinner and than see where the evening takes us." They could just just walk along the beach after dinner or do whatever they fancied. She spent her days making plans so tonight all she wished was to relax and let things happen. Planning dinner didn't count at all in her book as in her mind having a private dinner was a must. Sophia knew that he would love this.

The door was opened for the couple as they did arrive at their destination to revel an empty restaurant except for the waiter whom greeted them and showed them to their table which was outside on the deck looking towards the ocean. Besides place settings a bottle of wine along with two glasses were set out.

"I'll give you two a few to look over the menu," the waiter bowed before leaving them in peace. Sophia was honestly hungry so she had been looking forward to this all day. She hoped that this wasn't too much. She just well didn't get to spend much time with him and wanted this to be special.
