"Working on it. You up for a trip over there? I know there's plenty of places to get crystals there. Tython itself isn't the only planet in the system. What kind of crystal were you looking for?"

Finding a crystal was often a matter of the crystal finding you, but it was nice to look for a starting point. Anthony had to venture all the way out to Dac to find his.

Tel was silent for a moment or two more.

"Is 'one that works' a good answer?" He'd never really put much thought into what the various types of crystals were, what they were good for, any of that. When, for the longest time, 'will I make my own lightsaber and be something more than one of the initiates?' seemed like a question that wouldn't be answered for another century or more, it didn't seem like something he really needed to consider too heavily. Of course, to a large extent, a lightsaber was a lightsaber; various crystals did various different things, but it was rare to find one that really significantly altered the weapon.

"What's the planet where they used to get crystals in the system? Krev-something? Krev Maga?"

That got a laugh. "We'll figure something out. Lemme ask you this then. What are you already good at? For me, my first show of sensitivity was bending the water coming out of a firehose during a fire down in the lower levels. Didn't happen until I was 19, a rookie at the station. Chief said I was bound to be a jedi. I was quick to pick up after that. Turns out, I just have a natural affinity for the water."

As if to prove his point, he pulled a bottle of water from his coat, and flicked off the cap, then floating the water out of it in a display, before idly flowing his hand into the floating water, and wetting his hair. "Thirsty?"

Tel watched with a raised eyebrow as Anthony made the water float around him without any effort, sticking his fingers in it and wetting his hair...before asking if he was thirsty. Not after you just stuck your hand in it, man, come on—

Jo'han's comment got a small, involuntary shudder. Not cool. Trying to make me lose my head or something?

He shook his head. "No, I think I'm good. Thanks for the offer." Even if he had been thirsty beforehand, between Anthony dipping his fingers in the floating water and Jo'han's little joke, that feeling was completely gone. "If you want something I'm naturally good at, I can't think of too many others that have quite as strong senses as I do, I think? Or find it quite as easy to...uh...influence others."

That seemed like a reasonable way to put it.

"It kinda comes with being what I am, y'know? It's made other things hard to figure out, though. Had some Knight on New Cov making me carry boxes to try and force me to figure out how to make myself stronger. Took him a while to realize I just am strong."

That got Anthony to raise an eyebrow as he led them over to the hanger bay. "And what are you, exactly? I didn't get briefed on that part."

Anthony had seen a lot in his time. Both as a firefighter, where he had saved plenty of strange and exotic species on Coruscant, and as a jedi, where he had gone to plenty of planets with weird and wild inhabitants.

"Perhaps we could enhance that. Focus on getting you even stronger. Faster. Sharper."

That was, in fact, why he'd gone to that class...though he still felt like he could have done better to have realized it wasn't one meant for absolute beginners such as himself. Of course, if it was being offered, some dedicated training that was tailored more to his level would be a welcome thing. "I'm an Anzat," he replied to Anthony's question, his tone flat.

"You know. Nearly invisible cheek flaps, proboscises hidden within them, brain-eating snot vampires. I'm sure you've heard the stories." Just for emphasis, he flared open the flaps just to either side of his nose, showing the proboscis tips just within. When they closed again, the seam was nearly indistinguishable from the wrinkles and laugh lines that naturally formed there.

"...I'm still not certain that Master Shan is convinced I'm not being bullied about it."

"Absolutely!" came Tel's immediate answer. Given the chance to actually get out and do something, he wasn't going to pass it up. He finally put the training saber back at his belt as the pair continued their walk to the hangar bay. "You must have one crazy hyperdrive if it's a short trip, though." Travel in the deep core was notoriously difficult, after all, and even with stable hyperlanes to Tython it still required some careful routing and flying skill.

Given that the Knight had already revealed himself to be a pilot, it wasn't too much of a jump to assume he must know what he was doing trying to fly in the deep core. Although, if he was a fighter pilot...

"You do have a two seater, right?"

"..."

Tel stepped up to the fighter, looking into the cockpit. No space behind the seat. The seat didn't even move. Beyond that, the console took up enough space just in front of the pilot that trying to fit the both of them in would be...beyond cozy. Whether side by side or one on the other's lap. Neither of them were particularly small people, after all.

He glanced at Anthony once more. The man had to be joking.

He looked back at the fighter. He looked under the cockpit, hit the latch release for the cargo space back under and behind the main fuselage. It popped open with a hiss, and he bent over, looking into it.

Surely Anthony was joking.

"Compartment is sealed, right? Holds atmosphere?" He sure hoped so. If not, it might make things a little difficult. "Think you can manage not to crash with me squeezed in underneath?"
