Mak, I believe the planet has to be near your little colored bubble of territory. I remember saying the same thing about skipping around Omega Pyre and land-grabbing all those planets to the south of them.

Well, Thisspias is right by our bubble. It's only two planets over from the Republic bubble. So, it's within our reach.

You didn't propose to take Thisspias to cut of a possible action, you proposed it to stop an on-going event that you learned about OOC. That's not "straight up strategy", that's "straight up reactionary."

You're putting the wrong spin on it. It is strategy. They take Pangelan, if we have Contruum a quick move is for Thisspias to get the right angle. It is perfectly strategic and obviously reactionary. War is reaction. I think you're inventing a problem when there is none.

Now I'm confused. If the Sith take pengalan they'll take thisspias, or at the very least put a Sphere of Influence wall inbetween us and thisspias, even if we do take Contruum before they take Pengalan.

Yeah.... I'm not seeing the problem. War. Battles. Moving lines. Invasions. Dominions. Things getting nasty. The point is, their taking Pangalan does not make Thisspias out of reach. Whether we have to do a dominion of it, and basically negate Pengalan's ability to sustain itself as an Imperial stronghold, or invade it... it really does not matter much.

So you're proposing an invasion instead of a dominion then? I mean we can do it, and invading the Sith is inevitable, but it radically changes the difficult and effort required.

If you all want to do a Dominion of Thisspias then go ahead and do a dominion. Right now with Roche everyone is pretty busy regardless.
