SETTING INFORMATION
  • City Name: Allecto City
  • Classification: Urban Canter
  • Location: Tatooine
  • Affiliation: Independent
  • Demographics:
Allecto City is about as mixed as you can get. There is no real main demographic. Unlike in most places in the galaxy no one race really dominated Allecto city. There is an equal mix of Humans, Hutt's, Zeltrons, even Toydarians. Dozens upon dozens of different species make their homes in Allecto City, all of them attempting to take advantage, all of them trying to lead their lives.
  • Wealth: Medium
Allecto City is most definitely not rich compared to a place like Coruscant or Alderaan, in fact to most worlds Allecto is downright poor. Despite this however the City still has quite a bit of trade flowing through it and from it, thus keeping a stable economy that sustains it's thousands of residence. This allows Allecto to keep a modicum of economic stability, settling the city as a place where trade can thrive on Tatooine.
  • Stability: Medium
Like almost every other city on Tatooine, Allecto has no police force, no true governor, and certainly no real oversight. The place is ruled by the people who live in it and no one else really. Crime is controlled by neighbor watching neighbor, people are kept in check by each other, and the heavy hand of the local Hutt Crime Lord.

All of this adds together and means that while Allecto is certainly not upper level Coruscant, it's still pretty safe. As long as you know your way around.
  • Description:
Allecto City is a metropolis born out of the wreck of an Ancient Imperial Star Destroyer found in the deep desert of Tatooine.

The City is completely and entirely embedded within the Hull of the Star Destroyer itself, with new components of the metropolis only having sprung into place very recently. Most of the Hull of the former vessel is taken up by places of Residence, with thousands of people occupied and rebuilt various rooms throughout the Star Destroyer in order to better suite their living needs.

Throughout the years The Allecto has been suitably remodeled, becoming Allecto City as it's structure has been torn apart and turned into a vast Metropolis for it's residence.

Since it's initial occupancy the city has gone through many changes, and it's residence have added such things as Marketplaces, control towers, and everything else that a fledgling city might need to survive.

Of course, like every other City on Tatooine, Allecto does not ignore it's criminal side. Much like Mos Espa and Mos Eisley, Allecto can be incredibly seedy and almost deadly. Smugglers, Pirates, Hutt's, and all sorts of scum make their home in Allecto, and although the City has a 'new' sort of look to it, there is still very much of Classic Tatooine found within the fallen Destroyer.

POINTS OF INTEREST
Market: The Market Place of Allecto City is probably the greatest Draw of the new Metropolis. Located in what was once the grand Star Destroyers central Hangar bay, the Market is now an open air shopping place for any and all who can squeeze a spot for a stall.

Anything and everything can be found within this market, whether it be illegal disruptors or broken down droids. If one searches hard enough they can find a shop-stall for nearly anything, and of course it is all completely and entirely unregulated by any Galactic Government.

Entry Bridge: The "Entry-Bridge" Of Allecto city is a new addition to the Star Destroyer itself.

This bridge was constructed by residence of the city for the single purpose of being able to more easily deliver goods and people in and out of the city. The bridge itself is a relatively simple piece of construction, quite literally just sitting as a massive unkempt construct of durasteel that leads from the stern of Allecto city into the desert floor below. The Bridge is incredibly important to Allecto itself.

Most everything that goes in and out of Allecto itself travels on and off the bridge, the only exception being the few starships that are allowed to land on the converted landing bays which line the edge of the city.

New Allecto: This section of the city is the newest, and most ambitious portion of Allecto City. Though not technically new, nor really a grand addition, New Allecto is the portion of the metropolis which has sprung up and grown 'on top' of the Star Destroyer itself.

Most residence who live within Allecto do so in the under levels of the Star Destroyer itself, building homes within the vessel itself. New Allecto changes this however, new buildings and skyscrapers being constructed atop the vessel itself using scrap durasteel and other portions. New Allecto is not any 'richer' than the other portions of the city, but is simply a way to allow the city to further grow upon itself.

Residence of New Allecto are generally merchants.

New Allecto is also where most of the hotels and non-permanent residencies of the city are kept. This is mostly done for the sake of convenience, and also means that there generally tends to be more crime within this area of the city.

Bridge Tower: Once the command and control Center of The Imperial Star Destroyer known as The Allecto, The bridge tower of this once proud vessel now serves as the home of the rich and powerful who reside within the city.

Though chiefly occupied by Nari the Hutt, The Bridge tower has been converted into what can only be described as luxury suites. Many of the more wealthy visitors to the city tend to stay within the Bridge Tower when they come here, and unlike the rest of Allecto the Bridge Tower is actually held rather securely, often patrolled by hired Mercenaries and private Security contractors.

Most of the Bridge Tower is off-limits to ordinary people, strictly controlled by Nari the Hutt who holds dominion over this sector of the City itself.

Despite this near total control, there are small sections and apartments within The Bridge Tower that do not belong to Nari. These however are most often owned by the wealthy or other Crime Lords who were able to wrest some control away from Nari.

Other: Allecto City is just that, a city.

The entire place holds far more than is described above, and it should be noted that anything standard that is not included can probably be found within. Like any other city Allecto has Cantina's, nightclubs, hotels, public bathrooms(probably), and many other common facilities.

It should be assumed that Allecto holds many of the standard features of other Cities on Tatooine.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The city itself is relatively new to existence, only having sprung into life over the course of the last few years. Though technically not 'founded' by anyone, the wreck of the Star Destroyer was first discovered by a man named Garal Cerik. Garal stumbled upon the Star Destroyer while hunting for Krayt Dragons, and upon his return to Mos Espa told the news of his discovery to others.

This quickly prompted an influx of people and within a short few months the Star Destroyer was populated by hundreds.

Within a short amount of time the Star Destroyer was taken over completely by residence and refugees who were seeking a new place to live stably upon the desert world.

Of course this boom of population drew the Interest of one of the more powerful factions on Tatooine; The Hutts. As with everything else on the Desert World, the Hutts took a keen interest upon the newly discovered and occupied Star Destroyer, and within a short amount of time a power struggle ensued among some of the lower families that could be found on the Desert world.

This struggle lasted only a short while, and before long a minor Hutt Crime Lord named Nari managed to wrest control of a portion of the city.

Nari took hold of Allecto, though only loosely. She claimed her place within the Bridge Tower of the Star Destroyer, using the former Command Center as her new palace and overseeing things from there. Utilizing her Kajidic's vast wealth, Nari bought the goodwill of the people through construction projections and various other gimmicks, allowing for the growth of Allecto.

Within a short amount of time, Allecto reached a certain amount of stability, growing into a large enough city to sustain a healthy amount of residence as well as visitors.
