All Things Ending

Darren understood what she was meaning by all of this information of different Sith's lives. He could relate to all of them slightly but he wanted what the last Sith she mentiond had. SOme one to be around when they are needed. Most sith wanted to die in battle against their apprentices and what not. But for him. He didnt. "If you model after the last sith. Then why did you become one? I know of some people that are just like that. Who dont want to Die in the battle field but rather with friends and family."

"It's a far-off dream, Darren. I tried that route. I've tried it several times. It's never worked for me, and I don't know why. Perhaps it's because of the attention I've attracted, the enemies I've made. I've lost people. Lovers, and people who might have been.

"I'm tired, Darren. Not from the forge work, but the life. The people I've fought and killed...the worlds I've watched burning..."

Darren could possably understand being tired. He didnt want to have to fight all of these people jus tos he could find his mother. He needed people he could trust to help him. Darren looked at the anvil and then back at Ashin. "If you ever do need some place to lay down for a while you are always welcome to find me. and If you ever need help you can ask." Darren knew he shouldnt take that lightly. he was giving alot up for Ashin and her possable porblems and trials. He didnt know how to continue the conversation. he sttod there for a second to see if she would say anything to him.

A small smile graced Ashin's face as she picked up her own hammer again. "I may take you up on that sometime, Darren. Come on -- we've got a suit to finish."

Her own armor was about half-way done, and with their combined labors the alchemical furnace was pushed to its limits. This suit had no helmet, which had taken a good chunk of the time with Darren's suit, and the remainder of the project seemed fairly straightforward. It was, after all, only alchemy.

Disciple hadn't moved in hours, a complete stone statue. His eyes were like those of the paintings you'd find in old homes; always seeming to follow you... but when you checked? They weren't. Disciple was always the most curious of Sith to people, because it took quite a deal for even other Sith to go 'you're insane'.

"I swear, if you two end up fornicating in front of me I'll kill you both. Four hundred years ago all the Sith did was bang Jedi and each other - NOTHING EVER GOT DONE."

If you could verbally flip a table, that's what he'd just done.

Taking a few slow breaths to calm himself, he rests his chin in the palm of his hand. "Ya know, 17,000 years in and I'm bored. I'm not tired. I'M FRAKKING BORED. YOU PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE."

"Which reminds me, I'm just an alchemical master - be it biological or otherwise. But it's been amusing to watch you work."

Humming to himself, he goes back to watching without watching.

Darren looked at Disciple like he had seen him for the first time. He thought to himself about how embarris he looked. then he though not of it. He was just jealous.

Darren finished working on the greaves with a final tap on the metal. He place the pair next to his own armor with the rest of Ashin suit. He worked on the leg pieces. She was considerably smaller than him and had to compensate for that. It was getting harder to focus with the conversation that they just had. His mind kept wondering. On accident he smashed his finger with the hammer. "Goddamn it." He said to himself. He had to focus. He stoped for a moment and gather himself. He began to hum the tune that his mother had sung again.

After he did that he was more foucused on the task at hand. He finished the first leg plate and saw that it was good. He began to work on the second one. being more careful than last time. He hit the metal that was still bright red hot. When ever the hammer hit the surface of the heated metal sparks would fly off burning though his clothes. But that didnt matter. He didnt really feel the burning of his skin when he did his work. When he got thoes done he placed then next to the greaves.

Ashin then asked for him to show them a thing or too. he wasnt suprised.

Ashin massaged the tip of her chin between thumb and forefinger, her eyes narrowing. "You're here in my lab, breathing my air. Sing for your supper."

Gone was Disciple from her sight, only for him to rise like the sun from behind her shoulder, eyes locking onto the back of her head. "I don't sing..."

"... ok that's a lie. I DON'T SING ON COMMAND."

Walking around her slowly, forefinger tapping at his chin in thought, he eyes her up and down while making a faint 'hrrrrm' noise. Finally, he pauses.

"What if I don't eat?"

"Oh, but, as your host, how could I deny you dinner? And how could you survive seventeen thousand years save by taking your meals where you can find them?" Ashin gestured grandly through a door at an immense, sessile Taozin. "Unless you're like this particular hunk of ichor, attributing your longevity to staying out of the way, refraining from action...well, friend, are you the grub?"

The Jester wagged a finger at her, an unsettling smirk plastered upon his face. "No, I lived this long by knowing when to be a grub and when to be a rancor. All must be just so, at all times, for things to ever work in your favor."

"The question is - what exactly do you want me to sing? Hrm?"

Darren saw what was going on between the two masters. He was temped to say something himself, but decided against it. Both of the masters could probably kill him with ease. He just kept his mouth shut and stood out of their way. When Disciple asked about what song he should sing Darren finaly piped up.

"Maybe you should sing the sing that I was singing ealier? You heard the verse that I sang. You were here. If you can sing than please do so."

"'Sing for your supper,' Darren -- it's an expression where I come from. It means that a guest should be willing to pitch in -- say, by singing a song or washing the dishes. On the other hand, it may be older than that. Travelling minstrels earning their food with music. Either way, it basically just means that Disciple's a guest in my laboratory, and I'd rather like him to contribute a little. For example, I'm quite curious to see what he could make out of the Taozin."

Darren knew what she was talking about and already knew that she wanted him to do his share for bing here. Darren chucked and said "I dont know I thought it would fun to see a Sith clown to sing." Darren really did think that it would have been great for s sith to sing. he would have at least been amused. "If you want him to help thats fine. I just wanted to see if he could sing."

"Because I want to learn something," she said evenly. "Or possibly because I'm interested in what you'll do with something that's basically ysalamiri light."
