All These Roads

While her Master was still missing, Kestrel and JJ had uncovered a few leads that seemed promising. For now, however, it was back to Naboo to formulate a plan. Tend to other tasks that needed attention.

Particularly, The Rebel Dream. Extensive repairs were necessary for the ol'YT-1200 if they hoped to get anywhere.

Kestrel sighed.

If she had a credit for every time that blasted thing broke down…

She frowned at the thought.

At least there was a bright side to it this time. JJ’s son had offered to fix it as a form of payment and contribution. She thought he was crazy, knowing the amount it’d cost, but she certainly wasn’t going to put up a fuss about free anything. And, not being the one under the belly of her ship?

Well, that meant she had time to do a little exploring and take in everything she didn’t bother to the first time she was here.

What she was supposed to be doing, was getting food crates for their stash before the next take off, but a little detour wasn’t going to hurt anything. She’d manage to do both. JJ was going to be busy for a while at any rate.

Naboo was unlike any other planet she’d been to. Green and verdant, with a vast variety of flowers and stunning architecture. So far, this was the planet she loved the most out of all the ones she had been to.

Not that she had seen all that many to draw comparisons with, there were probably more beautiful places than this. Kestrel just hadn't seen them yet.

One day, she determined, she would see them all.

Kestrel turned to head down another street and looked at her map, her brows scrunching and a frown appearing on her face. She decided to keep venturing forward, gazing at the various ‘goods’ displayed by vendors while trying not to bump shoulders more than necessary along the congested streets. Theed was a large city, the central hub. It wasn’t unusual that it swarmed with activity.

The display cases were filled with jewels, fabrics, and other luxury items. All things that weren’t going to be of any use to her. Stepping off to the side of the road and out of the crowd, she flipped open her map for the direction she needed to reach the farmers market.
