- Modified midsection doubles as a mobile repair bay
- Heavy armed and armored combat walker
- Highly intimidating to face in combat
- The AT-LSWs durasteel footpads can easily crush defensive positions
- Side mounted cranes can lift heavy loads with ease
- The midsection of the AT-LSW can carry large amounts of cargo or small to medium sized vehicles
- Incredibly slow and heavy
- Massive target makes it difficult to miss
- The AT-LSWs cockpit "head" has a limited firing arc
- The walker is especially vulnerable to attack when its midsection is open
- High value target for enemy attack, especially when carrying or repairing vehicles
- Cannot lift especially large or irregularly shaped vehicles as it does not have the room to store them
- Can become unbalanced when carrying vehicles on only one side
Although the All Terrain Heavy Salvage Walker possesses unparalleled lifting power when compared to other vehicles in Mahporeem service, its usage is not always appropriate for every given situation that it might be called for. As such, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has developed the All Terrain Light Salvage Walker in response to this, although the usage of the word "light" is something of a misnomer.
Based upon the chassis of a standard All Terrain Armored Transport, the AT-LSW works in much the same manner of its even more massive cousin, possessing a pair of heavy duty crane arms that can lift large loads with ease. The AT-LSW is capable of lifting and repairing two small to medium sized vehicles at the same time.
As one might imagine, the AT-LSW is a rather enticing target for enemy attack, although it is heavily armed and armored. As such, the AT-LSW should not be used as a front line combatant, though it is more than capable of being pushed into this role should push come to shove. Of course, keeping the AT-LSW away from any sort of fighting is generally a wise idea.
