All about that base [No Rebels]

Corey's OOC

And where were the spiders
There was a lot going on. Marek Starchaser was working with the crew at Neuro-Saav to approach a few different advancements. If he was good at one thing, it was making new ideas. But for now? He was celebrating with the Hegemony bigwigs. There was the first step for the creation of a new base on Lianna. From there, the group could start reaching out to the galaxy and doing what they did best. Make credits. And sell products. The one thing Bright Star was bringing here was the refreshments and entertainment.

And a sail barge, of sorts. Why not, right? Repulsor crafts with all the creature comforts and the ability to contact the site foreman. With the refreshments table behind him, he was facing a hologram of the lay out for the new fort. Xim, wasn't it? He thought so.

Sure, Marek was an idea machine, but an engineer he was not. He was going to leave that to the professionals, and hope he could work his comrades into helping him convert some of the old Baktoid satellites and produce a news show, granted Bright Star could handle that, but getting it approved by the Hegemony? That was another thing.

“Are we sure having a fortress to the Hegemony is going to be a smart idea?”

Were they going public now?

"I wouldn't be too concerned." Janus said, adjusting his shades.

Fort Xim would be the intended home of the newly formed Tionese Whiteguard- the elite ceremonial guard of the Tion Cluster and an extension of the Hegemony's growing influence over that space. The fort was to be constructed in the more mountainous regions of Lianna, perhaps overlooking a city. That said, the location was going to be absolutely freezing. There was no need for that kind of setting for this sort of meeting, so obviously it seemed more prudent to meet on an extravagant sail barge in Lianna's more tropical environments.

Because planets with only one biome are lame.

"There are relatively few with the audacity and total lack of common sense to come after our affiliates on our home turf."

"Expansion is but a route we all must take, Starchaser," Danger would coo, bringing both gentlemen a drink.

"Having options is always a girl's best friend..." there came a sly smile of humor, "Next to Corseca Gems of course." she'd give a small chuckle, bringing her glass to her lips after giving them each their own.

"So what are the plans for this new venture?" she'd ask with an arch of her brow.

Seeing [member="Darth Janus"] in a floral print shirt and dark lenses would be almost as awesome as seeing his impeccable mane in pig tails. Though, that could be creepy. [member="Danger Arceneau"] on the other hand... Well, lets not go too far into how awesome that would be.

Nodding to the Sith Lord, Marek figured it made sense. “Thats true, between the bounties we can put out if they survive, and that whole if deal...” He took a sip of his drink.

“Giving the White Guard a place to watch over our worlds, a fortress of solitude, or watchtower would be a smart move. Keep the businesses on the Trade Nexus?” He shrugged. Of course, he was here to entertain, and not really be the mastermind, he left that to the likes of Tyrin and [member="Rave Merrill"].

"Sounds fantastic." Danger would tell them, looking down at her datapad. She was making strides with Browncoat Industries and Havan Shipyards. This would serve her well to expand too. Nothing too big, but definitely something worth noting.

Browncoat would move to nearby Tion worlds in terms of excavating for more potential mines and production facilities. Meanwhile, studies would serve to sell Havan shipyards products. Mara TibX & Fuels would also find some form of boon. Danger, if anything was thorough.

Updates on the Companions in the area would relay that the Tion nobility certainly enjoyed having one of the Guildhouse's own in their arms for their fancy parties.

"Do you have blueprints?" she would ask [member="Marek Starchaser"].

Defending the Hegemony was definitely important to Marek. And the rest of the supporters of the Cluster. And with the changing landscape that was the galaxy, he could understand why. The trick was construction. He helped manage a small engineering firm, plus the works with Bright Star. Looking to [member="Danger Arceneau"] about the blueprints, he shrugged.

“Not exactly my area of expertise. I can contact the Xi Char, see what they suggest, a lot of it would be insectoid and probably ready to take off. Though, I can try to chase down the architects who worked on several of the Bright Star casinos? Unless you’ve got a preferred style for the Fortress of the Whiteguard, [member="Gerion Ardik"]?” Was time to get this moving, after all.

While the boys would discussed what kind of fort they would like to build, Danger would skim over the details of her datapad. It was funny how much she was 'plugged in'. It was a constant. She had to be. With how big Arceneau Trade had grown, she had to be available at any time in the event anything would happen that would require her attention.
Granted, she was but one woman. One woman in the 'verse. This was the very reason why Alisha'ven was her right hand woman. Why Six would be used as her HRD to conduct deals as if she were there in the flesh with none the wiser. One never made it to the top by doing everyone on ones own.

No, there had to be things such as delegation. This was also why she was looking at getting a new personal assistant. One name came to mind that stood out from all the rest. Her name was Aeri Vyn; a Zeltron Companion from the Zeltros Oiran Chapter. Praise would heap upon her from the Madastra, and there was no denying that her qualifications and skillset were immaculate and beyond compare.

Hmm... yes. This one had promise.

Of course she’d leave it up to them. Marek was known to build tree-forts, well, sometimes, when he was with the Zeison Sha during his childhood. Gave him a unique perspective but made him a target, they were tricky things to master, where to set them up in the training. And how to best use them. Ardik was the one in charge of the Whiteguard, Marek merely provided transit for the members of Tion, and well, helped location hunt.

“What are you thinking, for this base? Anything out of the norm?” Which meant, anything that involved more than needing an eleven person team to rob it. Lucky for Marek, like Danger, he had a list of people working for him, to ensure that the casinos ran smooth.

And that allowed him to come to these little meet-ups.

Suddenly Danger's datapad lost its wifi signal. It was unlikely she would never find out it was due to a little bit of Mechu-Deru on Ardik's part. Now she would be forced to talk about the proposed home base of the Tionese Whiteguard. Oh, the sheer mind boggling horror. Oh, the humanity. Oh, the thread necromancy and horrendously delayed responses. Was there no end to the madness? The depravity? Yet there was no time to consider such things. There was business to discuss, and Danger was going to discuss it whether she liked it or not. Any other datapads she had with her would mysteriously lose their connections as well. If Gerion Ardik had to be the irascible grandparent who confiscated all the electronics before the family dinner, then he damn well would be.

At any rate, there was a castle to consider.

"I've been speaking with the head House Vasari here on Lianna." He said to Marek. "Are you familiar with their Fort Arbalest up in the mountains? Near Lianna City?"

To most people on Lianna, Fort Arbalest was an abandoned ruin that no one cared for. It overlooked Lianna City from the mountains, leering enviously at the city's continued modernization while it languished in a state of decay comparable to some Sith tombs on Coruscant.

Well apparently her datapad kicked the bucket; thankfully the data would get backed up. However, she was slightly annoyed. Her attention would draw back to the two men, catching them mention Forth Arbalest.

"Looking to do a fixer upper Mistah Ardik?" came Danger's query, sighing as she would slip her datapad away. Maybe it had something to do with the battery. She'll have to get Alisha to look it over.

She came over to step closer to the duo, frank interest showing now that Gerion decided to join the conversation. "What do you have in mind?"

Marek wasn’t really paying attention to the Force, he rarely did. When he was on a mission, away from the safety of partners, his casinos or anyone he could rely on, the Zeison Sha did reach out to the Force, and watch for everything. But now? [member="Gerion Ardik"] and his little trick with the mechu deru didn’t even phase the other. When he heard of Ardik’s idea, he nodded. And as he ran his hand over his chin, he looked over at the buxom trade queen and grinned.

“She’s got a point. A bit of a fixer-upper, for certain.” But it had a bit of… allure, didn’t it? Somewhere people wouldn’t go to, so long as the construction was kept secret. Or, really, even just use it for a Lianna revitalization and protection program. Something to boost ratings even higher of the Hegemony.

"Oh, no. We won't be paying for it, I assure you."

Gerion gestured out to the wide ocean surrounding them, deciding it was the best way to indicate the Tion Cluster as a whole. There wasn't a crowd of Tionese citizens milling about, after all.

"The Tion Cluser contains hundreds of star systems, most of which are populated. Now more than ever, people will want security and cohesiveness. And there's no better indicator of that when they all pitch in to renovate a historic ruin into a state-of-the-art fortress. We'll have to facilitate, of course, but other than that the final bill will be split up among so many different parties it will be negligible."

[member="Marek Starchaser"] [member="Gerion Ardik"]

Danger gave a nod, then a soft smile. "Always at the ready with a suitable plan Mistah Ardik," she complimented, swiveling her head to turn to look at him.

"In regards to that, what resources will we need first and foremost?" her mind was already starting to go through a mental list.

"What has a survey of the required renovations indicated?"

Ardik did have a point. They could probably get off with taxes and a defense tax paying for the the rebel’s hidden fortress the White and Black and Chrome and Rainbow Guard Castle-Fort. “I mean, any one of us could probably afford it. But getting the worlds to cover it. They know that we can and will defend them against what is to come.” Or might come. Or might never come.

But never say never.

“We can get droids to make sure the facility is safe for renovation, mining surveys can show us what the mountain is made of. Probably safer to have a droid workforce, so no one gets bought off.” Not that he suspected that would happen. Not in the Cluster.
