"Based on the data I found, it's an eldritch abomination that's been slumbering for aeons. Supposedly it devoured stars before it was sealed away by the Rakatan," Sumiko replied. Well, this was totally encouraging. "On the bright side, if we inadvertently set in motion, it'll take centuries for it to wake up and slaughter everyone."

Illyria stopped and looked at Sumiko. The words that the other woman had used were concerning.
“Centuries or not, I do not want to unleash such a horror,” she said firmly. “I have cause for my anger against my people, but I am not prepared to do burn the galaxy – even if it happens long after my death. If this Prisoner One is this creature you mention then I will not take that step.”

Sumiko's expression was inscrutable when looked at Illyria. Was she about to irrationally lash out or scold the Eldorai? "Good. Then you have sense. Burning the galaxy out of spite is something for children with temper tantrums. Admittedly that maturity level applies to most Sith." Same applied to dropping shipyards on planets - especially your own one - for no reason other than spite.

Illyria nodded at Sumiko’s words, relaxing slightly.
“Then why do we need to go on? This creature is entombed, there is no point going there if we are not going to release it. We have two items, what say you to taking a quick look and then departing?”

Shadow had not conveyed his desire clearly. If he wanted the creature to be released, then that was interesting because, unlike her and Illyria, he might actually be alive to see it wreck havoc! The Atrisian shrugged and nodded. "Agreed. I'll take pictures." At least then they could be certain that no one else had woken it up! So off they went and activated the teleportation device.

Who knows, they might even be able to tag their photos and upload them to Spacebook!

“Visiting darkest pit on Belsavis to release eldritch horror. Wish you could be here!”
Cure likes and inane comments.

Or probably not.

In any case, when they entered the darkest pit. Before them lay a cliff leading down to a wide, black plain of cold, cooled lava.

In the middle of the plain a section of the rock had been excavated, but there were also skeletons and signs of violence.

Illyria moved cautiously, looking around. No danger…yet.

Assuredly there would be many likes. Along with inane comments of the 'Please release! Go, World Razer, go! Kill Mandalorians/Sith/SpaceCommies/JediScum!' nature and #WorldRazer4Emperor hash tags.

Sumiko was not fond of Spacebook. Everyone made silly comments and had poor spelling. Regardless, of they went into the darkest pit of a very dark, grim planet, which till now had been filled with monstrosities or hostile droids at every corner. There was also a lava pit, though it had cooled.

Instinctively, Sumiko's hand moved close to her lightsabre as she beheld the section of excacated rock. Skeletons, blood stains and other signs of violence were evident. Cautiously she approached, gesturing to Illyria to be ready. Whether there was danger was up to the GM since this writer is not that awake.

“Welcome.”

The telepathic voice resonated painfully in Illyria’s head.

“I desire your aid. Rewards I will give you, such as you cannot dream. Wrongfully I was imprisoned. Escape, I desire…though it will take time, you can start the cycle in motion.”

Illyria shook her head firmly. “We know about you. We won’t free you.”

There was a menacing, low silence. “Then why are you here?”

"To make sure you're still trapped," Sumiko said coolly, after the telepathic voice had resonated painfully inside her mind. It gave her a headache.

"Why were you imprisoned again? Ah, yes, because you could not control your appetites. As annoying as the Rakatan were, they did that thing right. It must be a terrible disgrace for you to be locked inside here. Able to raze a thousand worlds with your might...yet dependent on gullible fools and knaves coming along and letting you out of the cage. What a pity, after you had a chance four thousand years ago."

She glanced over to Illyria. "Let's go."

The Razer was angry, worse, it was puzzled.
“I will be free one day. If it takes a hundred thousand more cycles I shall return, and I shall visit my revenge on all your kind. I shall consume all of them! I shall be-“

Fortunately they had left the chamber before the ranting went any further.

Illyria looked at Sumiko. “I think it’s time to go, let’s leave this accursed planet behind.”

Yes, yes, that's dramatic, Sumiko thought to herself, feeling most disrespectful. Anyhow, she gave Illyria a nod. "Agreed, let's go." And so they went back to the teleportation device and were beamed up. Soon they were back on their ship and then left this accursed, dead world behind them. Their quest had topped 100 posts.
