So far she had been dutifully helping her lover learn more and more about using the force, and each day she seemed to be improving. It mattered little to the doctor that Valaine seemed to be weaker in the force, her entire passion was molding and bending the dogma of existence... And by the hells she would continue teaching the Sangnir as much as required.

There was no such thing as a bad student in Vakhari's eyes, just lazy teachers.

"Oki doki!"

She clasps her gloved hands together, Valaine had been brought to a room in the lab she didn't have much experience in. The shelves organized with many sealed containers and vials, each holding genetic material from several different creatures out within the galaxy... Be they animal or otherwise.

"Today is the day, as of now you will make your own spawn. I would hope you have listened to my lectures in the basics of the alchemical process, I don't care what you make today... It can be considered a failure in the eyes of others, but for me? I want to see what your imagination and studies create, if it helps-"

Vakhari points to the many shelves around the place.

"Look at all of these as ingredients, and this process as cooking up something interesting."

Through each lesson, it had been proven that finding some way to alter how Valaine viewed the project in a way she understood better had drastically improved the end results. Was it perhaps a heavy simplification sometimes? Perhaps. But in the pursuit of knowledge there is no harm in having handy tools to help you better understand.

"Now, go ahead and put on that protective equipment, wouldn't want any alchemical resin to burn the skin."

The doctor herself adorns the protective gear. Consisting of eye protection, a mask, and of course the gown.

"Got it all on?"

The young Lutris walks around Valaine, inspecting the gear, seeing if Valaine tightened the straps properly and all that.

Another day of learning something new awaited the young Sangnir as she found herself within a part of the lab that she seldom visited, but she very much knew the room's intent; the creation of sithspawn as well as other more... organic experiments. Valaine donned a white lab coat of her own, one that was sized well for her but the cuffs of the sleeves were just a little too long but not so much they'd impede one's hands.

Immediately did tired grey eyes scan the shelves of organic material and components, briefly pondering their contents before her eyes shifted back towards her ever present mentor and partner Vakhari. At the explanation the pale Sangnir smiled softly; it was an avenue of research and development that she was hoping to get involved in at some point, especially since she had long been brewing up ideas in her head for what she'd try to make.

A creature of war? A beast of burden? A monster of shadow and silence? No, she had something far more important in mind... and far cuter. The corner of her lips lifted in a smirk as she nodded along to the words of the young Lutris as her stormy eyes were drawn again to the various containers and vessels of specimen and material alike. Alchemy itself wasn't something she had too much experience in; having until now focused mainly on the relatively mundane fabrication of little gadgets and musings. She did still wear her coffee scented perfume though...

She appreciated the way in which Vakhari taught her; simplifying things so that she could more easily parse the information in her head. She hummed lightly as she pulled on her own latex gloves with a satisfying snap and then regarded the short doctor as she started to tie her long dark hair back. "Any tips on how to start? Are some 'ingredients' more... malleable than others? I was thinking of making something only small. Smaller than you." she huffed in light amusement as she put on her own goggles and mask.

Donning protective equipment had become rather routine for Valaine, but on occasion she did like to let Vakhari tie her hair back herself if she so wished to.

"Malleable.. Hmm."

As she scoots over to inspect the stock of ingredients, Vakhari is sure to adjust the heat in the occult cauldron. The strange and potent resins and hells know what inside of it begin to bubble fiercely, awaiting organic matter to mutate.

For now she wanted Valaine to get used to the fun parts of alchemy.... The boring adjustments of resins and other dark side aligned primers would be for later, so the doctor had done that part for her partner already.

"When thinking on what to use, there are several factors at play- It sounds complicated I know, but thankfully we can simply it."

Using her hands she begins to gesture.

"Are you seeking a more refined and graceful creature? Dextrous, quick. Chances are that just like whatever you have in mind, you can think of the materials in the same way. Needing grace, a careful and steady hand, a focused will. But what about a hardy beast?"

As per the usual, she expected for these alternate ways of perceiving the process as more helpful and better fitting for Valaine. Just because it was more simplified for her, didn't mean she viewed using this tool in a demeaning way. It was a tact of empathy, a much better path to teach... That is what she cared for the most.

"When we think about a more hardy and brutish beast, that doesn't mean it takes no focus at all of course. But those materials- Much like the beast itself are by design to take a beating. The larger and more physically powerful your beast is, the more strength and energy it will take from you to not only bend and craft such a thing, but to also control it."

She points at a jar.

"A simple yet hardy beast, the K'lor'slug that is found on both Noe'ha'on and Korriban. Plenty of possibilities with its genetic material despite how simple of a creature it is, Korriban holds a fair few simple yet hardy beasts."

Valaine may have noted that Vakhari didn't give many named examples, the Arkainian wanted this to be Valaine's project, her creation.

"Getting a good idea of what sort of spawn you have in mind? If so, keep it there, focus on it... Focus on it hard enough that an image forms, it is important."

"Hm, you know, I did have an idea of what I wanted..." spoke Valaine as she perused the samples. She eventually reached for one container in particular. "You know about the Oggdo right? Giant uh, toads basically." she asked as she looked to the container in her hands, "I was thinking that but a lot smaller? Something to help clean up a little around here. Sure your droids are great at cleaning a mess up but if something's a little too big to just sweep away?" she spoke as she turned to start approaching the cauldron.

She set the container down on a table besides it as she brought up her datapad to look over the information she had on the Oggdo itself. "It's got really tough skin, can even take a while for a lightsaber to get through it apparently... But I was thinking of making it more uhh..." she gestured loosely with her hands, "Stretchy? Elastic? Make it really durable. Oh, and it's gonna be small, like..." she then moved her hand to her side and gestured low towards the ground, at about knee-height level, "This big?".

The young Sangnir had this thought for a while now, to create some sort of living garbage can that she could just throw random stuff to and it'd eat it. But for as much training as her beloved teacher had given her she seemed uncertain on the next step. She had the container with the samples of Oggdo genetic material but she wasn't certain if she should just, for lack of a better word, dump the whole thing into the cauldron?

"Hm... Also, do you have anything to make its stomach acid like... really strong? I'm talking strong enough to melt rock and metal if it needs to." she asked as she turned her attention back to Vakhari.

The doctor could see it, dancing about like wild sparks in a ever growing fire. The power of imagination, thought, will. As Valaine stood there with the vial in hand unsure what to do, the Sangnir's sharp eyes would clearly see an excited petite little creature frantically darting around the room with pure joy.

"Yes! That's it! Keep that train of thought!"

Her lover's request of some creature that deals in acid and removing trash wasn't a complex one at all, for Vakhari already knew a good pick that should be easy enough to use.

"The Chemilizard, a creature native to Nal Hutta. The Hutts have a tendency to leave toxic waste all about along with all sorts of other trash, this lizard adapted over time to absorb toxic pollutants-"

She clasps her hands together, a smug 'know-it-all' grin so proudly displayed.

"In addition to acidic saliva."

Vakhari felt as if she had offered a pretty good option, far less exotic... Should be easier for Valaine.

"The first step is the idea, the next is the will."

The girl taps at her own head, nodding to Valaine.

"Only once you have this creature in your mind, may you place your desired materials into the cauldron. If you have any other additions or ideas, collect them now... Changing your mind mid creation will oft result in failure."

Vakhari understand that her teachings of this art do not fall under the documented lessons, such as ideals in a book she herself owned, made by Taeli Raaf Taeli Raaf . In fact, if we go by the book, this whole process Valaine was doing would be labeled under a class III. A level of skill most commonly possessed by Sith knights, however... The young Lutris was trusting in the way of teaching she herself adapted for Valaine.

"Once you have everything ready, and this beast is stuck within your mind... Add your materials, and assert your influence over the contents. Through your willpower you will not only instruct the resin, but also shackle the creature to your will."

While it was a simple idea, a lesser Sithspawn if anything... Vakhari still watched the process like a hawk. She made sure none of her own power was muffled, her bond with Valaine was ever potent as she was hopeful the Sangnir's desire to impress Vakhari would lead to her borrowing more from their bond... Even if Valaine knew it or not.

Valaine smiled as she saw the excitement plain on Vakhari's pale face as the doctor briskly made her way around the room, looking at various reagents for the alchemy as she sought something that fitted the young Sangnir's request. As much as the sight of her lover being so excitable pleased her, she had to in fact keep her mind focused on the task at hand as requested.

As the doctor came back with an answer Valaine smirked, "So prepared... You really are a font of knowledge, aren't you?" she chuckled lightly as she prepared the necessary ingredients. The instruction was clear to her, but she almost found it too simple in a way. She just had to add these reagents and then will the creature into existence? It had her wonder just what else had gone into the preparation of this cauldron, what else was required for alchemy to be possible? Surely Vakhari had done plenty of work before she arrived.

She cleared her thoughts though, she had to remain intent upon her design. She then opened the vials of genetic material from both the Oggdo and the Chemilizard, adding them to the concoction before she then, perhaps for effect, held a hand with an open palm directed towards the cauldron itself and began to focus herself on the beast she'd create.

A short stubby thing, rounded in body with a short tail. A huge head with multiple eyes, a gaping maw of a mouth capable of devouring anything in front of it. Rubbery tough hide that could stretch, malleable flexible bones that could bend back into shape, and of course enough acid to melt just about any material that met it. This short ball of a creature needed a name... And although many suitable ones came to her, there was one for the species that just seemed to fit in her thoughts; Gorryn.

She made liberal use of her connection through the bond she had with Vakhari, letting her power aid in the creation of this spawn. For a moment she felt powerful through it, the strength of the young Lutris surrounding her in a guiding fashion. But would this creation succeed? She was about to find out...

"So prepared... You really are a font of knowledge, aren't you?"

"Never be unprepared, the element of surprise is a very powerful tool."

The doctor herself was always hopeful that her efforts to hide and appear weak would allow her to the the one with the better hand... For she hated being surprised, harder to predict and determine the outcomes.

"Now... Focus."

Her force echoes throughout the room, feeling like a wild static against the skin. Valaine was tapping into this power, this crackling force. As her lover tapped further into this font, she would feel it against her skin, senses tingling against the technology far beyond this room.

It was a glimpse of what Vakhari felt through, and for that briefest of moments-

The Sangnir never felt more alive.

The whispers of the flesh, the shadows that danced within the cauldron. All things felt under Valaine's thumb, all things bowed.

The doctor herself said nothing, watching with glee as she felt the genetic bile begin to form. After a moment, the bubbling sounds faded... Did it work?

Just as the power in the bond slipped, the cauldron rumbled, animalistic grunting and snorting could be heard. What was inside? Well a Gorryn of course, the fat meatball of a creature blinking as Vakhari peered into the pot.

"And behold, through power of will and mind- Your spawn has been formed."

Bit of an ugly little critter, fat, stubby, glutton for sure. But it worked, her student had done it.

"Before you say anything, let me state some things. Firstly, if this whole process seemed simple? Good, amazing even! To me that just means you understood, nothing wrong with that now yes?"

She smiles, moving over to Valaine to give her a tight hug, she looks up at her while still keeping a satisfied grin.

"Anddddd I should mention that taking raw material and forming it is harder than augmenting an already alive creature."

But was she going to say that before? Nope, better to assure Valaine didn't worry about it while trying to focus.

"This would be classified as a lesser Sithspawn, the creation of such things typically is the skill level of a knight."

The Arkainian quickly boops Valaine on the nose, proud of her.

She may have not gotten all the resins and whatnot ready- But the whole point was to see what Valaine made, how she would go about it, and most importantly how well she could use their bond. All the answers so far have pleased Vakhari, knowing that in far more serious moments her lover could in fact use the bond.

The already rambunctious meatball lets out a loud snort before tipping over the cauldron, spilling over as its fat body rolled across the room. It kept sniffing around, perhaps hungry.

The Sangnir felt the rush of power course through her as the bond did its intended work, helping to fuel the creation of the spawn that formed within her mind. It was over almost as soon as it began...

The sound of the cauldron rumbling had the Sangnir first suspect she might've somehow failed in the creation of the creature, but when she opened her eyes she beheld the Gorryn, that round stubby and snorting meatball that it was. Almost immediately Valaine smiled, she seemed smitten by her horrid little creation. "W- Woah, is that-...? I made that?" she asked in some manner of disbelief as Vakhari offered her praise.

As the Arkainian approached to give her a hug she returned it warmly, through the guidance of the short doctor she had taken yet another step towards something that was providing tangible results. Not only had Vakhari helped to get the Sangnir's foot in the door when it came to fabrication and the Force itself, but now with alchemy too. Under Vakhari's guidance she was finally making progress that had results she could see for herself.

"Huh? Wait you can like... I guess sorta modify already living things then?" she asked in surprise. Sith Alchemy certainly seemed to have a lot more applications than she initially believed, she thought every Sithspawn was made from scratch. She couldn't help but smirk at the boop before she finally released the doctor to look upon her creation once more.

As the Gorryn knocked over the cauldron to get out of it and rolled across the room to begin its hunt she couldn't help but admire what she had made. "Awh, look, it's so cute...!" she beamed as it snorted and huffed in its search for sustenance. Valaine glanced around for something she could throw at it and her gaze settled upon one of the empty vials that had been used in its creation. Surely Vakhari wouldn't mind if she tested the purpose of the creature right?

With a light toss she threw the vial to the floor as it bounced without even a crack; that was good glass after all. The Gorryn almost immediately lunged towards the fallen object as its tongue snapped it from the ground and into its maw as it crunched and chewed before swallowing the vial and continuing its clumsy hunt for more discarded items. "Awhhh he's so happy. Wait, is it a he? I didn't really think about any of that stuff..." mused Valaine. In fact there was a lot she probably didn't take into account with its creation.
