STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Alanna is a Jedi who was blessed with a strong connection to the Force, with the potential to become a very powerful Jedi Master when she reaches that stage of her life. Her build and training allows her to be rather athletic, and over the last few years of her life she has been able to become proficient enough with Makashi that she can make up for the form's known weakness against deflection of blaster fire. She is also prodigiously skilled when it comes to technology, has become fluent in Droidspeak, and is a very capable pilot. Due to her experiences in the Clone Wars and the burgeoning rebellion against the Galactic Empire, she has a decent grasp of warfare and is capable of leading ground troops and fighter swuadrons.

Alanna's optimistic attitude, as well as having been time-shifted from one era of Galactic history to another, has left her rather unprepared for what she has to find in this time period. Also owing to the fact that she is only human, Alanna's more lax adherence to Old Jedi dogma regarding emotional restraint means she is just as likely to let negative emotions such as sorrow overcome her (if only for a short time) as she is to let positive emotions do the same; these positive emotions also lead her to be a bit more excitable and prone to rambling on before she manages to calm herself.

On the physical side, Alanna's more slight frame does not lend her tremendous physical strength, which is one reason she gravitated toward the use of of Form II. In regards to her abilities as a Jedi, Alanna has serious self-doubt about her abilities as a teacher, and did not attempt to take on a Padawan due to her own incomplete training.

APPEARANCE:
With a slender, toned build, long red hair, bright blue eyes and a lovely face with plush lips, Alanna has a striking beauty about her, and she has in the past had admirers amongst her fellow Padawans, continuing into adulthood. While she has never had the chance to properly indulge in vanity, she does like to avoid looking disheveled, keeping herself clean and her nails trimmed. She is tall for a woman, standing at 5'10".

PERSONALITY:
Alanna, in several ways, represents the model Jedi of the Old Order; she is humble, kind to all she meets, and upholds the tenets of the Jedi Code to the best of her ability.

As a child and teenager, Alanna found it difficult to restrain her emotions, leading to excitability and the occasional mood swing, though for the most part she remained calm and in good spirits. Six years of living on the run from the Galactic Empire caused Alanna to calm down significantly, though she retained her general good mood. Having struggled with sexuality throughout her teenage years, Alanna has realized she finds both men and women attractive; she just isn't sure which she prefers.

The tenets of the Jedi Code are second nature to Alanna, and she upholds them to the best of her ability no matter where she is. However, in her own time period, she was of the school of thought that the Living Force could and should not be constrained by the Old Order's somewhat dogmatic stance on withholding emotion, and she showed this by allowing herself to be more cheerful and willing to embrace positive emotion than her peers, which made several of the Old Order's Masters somewhat wary of her demeanor. Despite this, Alanna was fully committed to the Old Order and the Jedi ideals, and her first instinct after arriving in this new time period and learning the Jedi are around once again would be to find them.

Despite serving in the Clone Wars, Alanna is a steadfast supporter of droids' rights, and believes that even droids of the lowest intelligence scale have sentience, and thus feelings; as such, she would never intentionally mistreat any droid apart from acting in self-defense; this was something that caused her to draw a parallel between the clones she commanded and the Separatist droids she fought, but in the opposite direction-- she considers the destruction of droids to equivalent to the killing of organics, and came to terms with her part in the Clone Wars due to realizing that lethal force was necessary against the Separatist droid army, as they either would not or could not show mercy of their own.

BIOGRAPHY:
Alanna Noymara was born in Theed, Naboo, in 34 BBY. Due to Naboo's status as a member of the Old Republic and relative closeness to Coruscant when compared to a planet like Tatooine, her parents were approached by the Jedi Order once her large Force potential (a midi-chlorian count of exactly 15,000 per cell) was discovered, and Alanna was given up to the Order for training as a Jedi. Alanna's training was standard for any youngling, but she found herself capable of learning things somewhat faster than the average Initiate. What was more, Alanna showed prodigious skill with various forms of technology, and showed herself to be quite interested in piloting. This proficiency with tech, as well as her already impressive skill as an Initiate, led Alanna to decide to work for the title of Jedi Sentinel. She crafted a curved-hilt lightsaber with a golden blade produced by a crystal taken from Ilum after she participated in the Gathering, choosing this design due to her appreciation of the Makashi lightsaber form.

Just prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars, at the age of twelve, Alanna was selected as the Padawan of Jedi Master Alen Sura. When the Clone Wars broke out, Alanna and Master Sura were on the training world of Ragoon VI, and were quickly recalled back to the Jedi Temple. Over the next three years Alanna served as a Jedi Commander for the Grand Army of the Republic, commanding the 364th "Daggerwolves" Regiment and serving on the Venator-class Star Destroyer Gallant, and survived many encounters with the Separatist forces, both on planets and in space battles. In 20 BBY Alanna came into the possession of an R4 astromech droid, R4-P28 (nicknamed simply "Arfour"), which remained with her for the duration of the war.

Alanna participated in the Battle of Coruscant in 19 BBY at age 15, as she and Master Sura assisted the Republic forces that were initially caught off-guard by the sudden Separatist invasion of the planet. They returned to the Temple once the battle was completed, and things seemed to return to normal. All was not normal, however, as only a short time later Order 66 was issued by Chancellor Palpatine, once again catching the weakened Jedi Order off-guard. As the newly-christened Darth Vader stormed the Temple with the 501st Legion, Sura awoke his Padawan as she slept in her quarters, hurriedly demanding she escape the Temple as it was attacked. Alanna initially refused, but Sura led her to the Temple's hangar as fighting raged and ordered her to leave, telling her that if she were to escape, the Jedi Order might have a chance to survive. Reluctantly, Alanna did as ordered, taking a transport with Arfour in tow. Prior to lifting off, one of the last things Alanna saw was Master Sura desperately attempting to ward off clone troopers that had chased the duo, and shortly thereafter felt Sura's death through the Force.

Alanna lifted off and got away from Coruscant as quickly as possible, eventually finding refuge in the Outer Rim and, in an effort to hide from the Galactic Empire, taking the name "Rhia Stark" and dyeing her hair blonde on occasion. For six years, Alanna worked to live in the Outer Rim and eventually became involved in the slowly-consolidating rebellion against the Empire, conducting raids on Imperial industrial depots and the like. In 13 BBY, however, while on a brief respite in the Bespin system to celebrate her twenty-first birthday, Alanna was tracked down by a group of bounty hunters and knocked unconscious before being encased in carbonite, with the intent of being sold to the Empire.

What the bounty hunters had not expected, however, was Arfour sneaking aboard their ship and managing to jettison the survivors of an argument that turned into a deadly firefight. Unable to pilot the ship himself and with no way of getting Alanna free, Arfour powered down, and the ship carrying them both now waits idly, floating in space as a derelict, ready to be stumbled across...

SHIP:

Glad you like her! In most settings I've used Alanna in, the Fish Out of Temporal Water aspect is a central aspect of her character, and she's always had an "anchor" in the Clone Wars (because I first created her after reading the RotS novelization over a decade ago). I very much enjoy exploring different time periods with her.

I believe there's three big ones at the moment.

There's the Silver Jedi Order. They're their own major faction, based on Voss and various other planets in the eastern rim.

Furthermore, there's the New Jedi Order, which is a more militant version of Jedi focused on fighting the dark side and aligned with the Galactic Alliance major faction.

Then there's the Order of the Sacred Lotus, though that's not solely composed of Jedi. They're a minor faction focused on providing healing and humanitarian assistance in disaster and war zones. Beyond that, there's plenty of Jedi who are unattached to any faction.

I'd be happy to thread with you, either under this face or another. Siobhan is friendlier than her sig might imply. :) I help run a neutral minor faction called the Tygaran Alliance. Got space elves, game of thrones stuff and our own Forcer groups. You can find our ad here: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/98162-tygaran-alliance-faction-advertisment/

I notice you are joining the faction that is the enemy of my faction. We should definitely RP. I'll play nice unless you're rude or obnoxious. :p
