Private Alana In The Mine With Diamonds

The twin suns of Lothal burned low over the horizon, casting long, flickering shadows across the reddish plains. Alana's rental speeder had kicked up clouds of ochre dust in its wake, her grip tight on the throttle. Rumors of a newly discovered crystal mine had drawn her to this place. Not the usual kyber types either, rather something rarer. Least that was the rumor.

Reports were scarce, secondhand, mostly frantic notes from miners who had fled screaming into the night. Something was keeping them out. Something no one had dared face, she hoped to find what she was looking for here; a lightsaber crystal.

Alana didn't need words to feel the tension coiling in the Force, subtle warnings of danger that made her spine shiver. The air around the mine shimmered oddly, almost like heat rising off the desert, but this was a cold, tingling sensation that made the hair on her arms stand on end.

The speeder finally ground to a stop at the edge of a jagged canyon, the entrance to the mine just a shadowed scar in the rocky wall. Carved tunnels led deep into the cliffside, but claw marks gouged the stone outside; fresh, large, uneven. Whatever had claimed this thing wasn’t small.

Alana exhaled slowly, as she climbed out of the speeder. "Alright," She muttered, duster brushing against the thigh of her pants, hand near her blaster. "Let's see what all this fuss is about."

She just hoped her companion would be of some help here.

She seemed capable enough.

A chance to visit a world we haven't seen nearly enough of." She said it and moved to the edge looking out at the still waters as they reflected the mountains. Gemstones glittering in dozens of colors when the sunlight shimmered on them. Junko moved along the edge of the water and a platform as she continued to look out. The kimono robes dark red with golden trim and patterns Her saber on her hip as the bone hilt gleamed. The atrisian princess stayed there while her handmaidens rose up from their protective spots... their jade and crimson robes obscuring their faces and forms so they could body double for Junko... well most a few were much larger and their robes armored with visible weapons to be honor guards. She could explore this far out from the main temples and look into the older ruins as they started walking into the fogs on the ground. "Come, we'll take the long way around." The walkways leading around were a good indication as she walked through them wearing the simple jedi Princess kimono she had. Black with red trim and a triple hollycock leaf pattern on it.

Her neck and face covered in the Solari Shiroi make up the jedi had designed for her. With the white of it gleaming as small blue highlights were underneath for a more ethereal glow. Darkened eyes like pools of dark honey and her hair pulled back over her shoulders in a curtain down to her ankles. SMall beads of kyber shaped into small bells that jingled as she walked with her Hair Piece making the look of bangs. Her hands in front of herself as the sash of her belt held her lightsaber the White Lotus. The gleaming of the white carapace from a gaping spider queen. THe curve of the hilt showing the design made for dueling and on the opposite side a pouch secured on the outside. She had her normal equipment and there was more to the robes then many others could see or even notice... but it was meant to inspire a look of regal beauty. She breathed in deeply while she walked... able to feel the force here differently then on Atrisia even afterr all of its improvements. "Beautiful."

Alana's eyes followed her as she moved along the water's edge, the sunlight catching on the gemstones like a private collection display; Alana had tried to steal something like this a long time ago. She smiled faintly, setting a hand on the speeder, letting her gaze linger just a second too long.

"Beautiful, yeah," She said, voice low and teasing. "But I'd argue the view's better up close." She tilted her head, letting a hint of a grin tug at the corner of her mouth. "Don't get me wrong, the scenery's stunning…but I've got a feeling some things here are more interesting when you walk beside them."

Her hand brushed idly against the hilt of her blaster, though her eyes never left Junko's, flicking to the intricate robes, the saber at her hip, the subtle shimmer in her hairpiece.

Talk about fancy.

"Makes me wonder what else this world has hiding…besides the crystals."

She leaned a little closer, just enough that her tone dipped into something sharper, playful, almost daring. "Guess we'll have to explore…carefully."

She looked to the handmaidens of her companions, and tilted her head.

“So, your friends here going to be alright to head into the mines?”

She asked, concern on her voice. She wasn’t feel super confident about protecting others in a situation like this.

Especially with the unnatural aura this place was giving off. She glanced back to the mines, frowning at the shimmer it still seemed to give off, that chill returning to dig at her bones.

They are trained to protect themselves and me." She said it while looking at the woman. From her stance, her blaster she was showing skill which was good... professional even. It brought a small smile to Junko's lips as it lit up her dark eyes before she was walking. "But they can stay outside of the mines... gives more space to move around and besides... I have a big strong protector. I'll just have to be careful." She said it while walking forrward a little... allowing herself to be both close in the force but physically she was still a decent distance away. "I am sorry that I didn't get your name." She said it while a hand came out touching her chest. "I am Junko Ike, princess and one of the lead diplomats of the Atrisian Commonwealth."

She gave an amused snicker at the reply, and felt a degree of relief at having been freed of protecting some bodyguards. “I appreciate the flattery little miss.”

She remarks, a faint hint of a blush on her cheeks. She felt the strange shimmer in the Force, feeling the woman both close, then physically distant. Hell of a mind game to be playing, Alana thought. She went to adjust her hat, and forgot she had stopper wearing one.

However, she felt herself being deflated at the woman not having got her name.

Had they seriously gotten all the way out here without a name exchange?

It sadly wouldn’t be her first time doing that. “Alana Calloway. I’m just….me I guess.” She remarks, giving a small shrug of the shoulders. She never had any formal titles, and if she could manage it, it would remain that way. She glanced back to the mine, chewing the inside of her lip, musing on this. “I’m not used to traveling with such esteemed company.” She remarks, looking back to the woman with a smile.

She was desperatly trying to ignore the strange place they were about to embark into.

The lake glittered behind Junko, its surface a mirror of skies crystal blues where the sun shone and seemed to pulse with each step she took. The pebbled shore crunched under her soft shoes, a soft rhythm against the water's quiet lapping as she looked from Alana toward the mountains. The air was crisp and the faint, mineral-rich promise of the mines ahead where Alana's eye flicking over there and she seemed to be thinking about it. Junko offered a look though she kept her expression light, her lips curved in a half-hidden smile. "Fret not, I plan to give you much much more Alana," Junko said, her voice carrying a playful lilt as she matched Alana's pace.

"Beautiful women deserve it." The words slipped out with a casual ease, but there was a deliberate warmth behind them, a spark of admiration she didn't bother to hide. She let her gaze flick toward Alana, wondering what those words might bring but she was rarely deterred, her smile widening as she imagined the shine of the echani's hair in the glow of the crystals in the mines. The idea of sifting through dark tunnels, shoulder to shoulder with Alana, sent a flutter through her not just for the crystals, but for the chance to be close, to share the quiet intensity of the hunt. She imagined them brushing past each other in a narrow passage, the air thick with dust and possibility, and the thought made her grin.

"And if you want just think of me as Junko," she said, her tone teasing, a playful challenge in her voice. "If it helps I could ditch the intricate outfit it wouldn't be the first time I ran around searching in mines naked with a beautiful woman." The words were casual, tossed out with a mischievous smile as her eyes flicked to Alana to gauge the effect. The mine entrance loomed just ahead, its jagged edges framed by the mountain's rough embrace. The air was cooler now, carrying a faint, metallic tang that spoke of secrets buried deep. Junko slowed her pace, letting the moment settle, her eyes drifting to the mine and goal that they had.

The mine's shadow stretched toward her as she moved, its darkness promising not just crystals but a chance for fun. Junko stopped just shy of the entrance, her feet planted firmly on the rocky ground. She turned slightly, her gaze settling on Alana, taking in the way the light painted her hair. "Graceful combat form, A dance of silent beauty, Steel reflects the soul." The words felt true, capturing the journey's pulse and the flicker of something fun. The grin remained on her face though while she let her handmaidens fan around the entrance of the mines and the lake. THey would be able to protect the area in case of problems.

Alana let the words roll over her, a dry little laugh caught somewhere between amusement and disbelief. She hooked her thumbs in her belt and tilted her head, silver hair spilling forward as she gave Junko a slow once-over.

"Naked crystal hunting, huh?" Her mouth curved in a sly half-smile, one eyebrow ticking upward. "I don't know whether to be impressed…or just concerned about your safety standards."

She stepped closer to the water's edge, the mirrored lake throwing back the sun so it caught in her red eyes like a spark.

"Though, I'll admit-if you're making a habit of doing that, I figure you'd be collecting admirers quite easily."

For a heartbeat her gaze softened, just enough to betray the warmth she usually kept guarded.

"Junko suits you better than 'Princess.' Especially when you talk like that."

Alana shifted her weight and started toward the shadow of the mine, boots crunching against the rocky shore. She shot Junko a sidelong look, grin tugging at her mouth again. She was blushing, she knew it, and she couldn’t stop herself.

"But if we end up brushing shoulders in the dark…might forget we're here for rocks. Just for a bit.”

She remarked, giving a shrug as she moved towards the cave entrance, her smile fading as the sinister aura began to grip at her now.

"Both maybe," Junko said with a shrug, her voice low and laced with a grin. "I've been known to be impressive from time to time, and well, there's some concern over my tongue and finger skills." She let the words linger, her lips curling as she stepped past Alana for a moment towards the mine's entrance, her hand brushing against the other womans thigh. "But I do hope I brought enough water looking at you has made me extra thirsty." Her tone dipped, playful yet daring, as she tilted her head, letting her gaze trace the elegant curve of Alana's neck and shoulder, the golden light catching the light from her eyes like a promise.

Junko's dark eyes sparkled, her half-hidden smile widening as she matched Alana's pace, her soft shoes whispering against the ground. The lake behind them glittered, reflecting the mountains, but Junko's focus was on the woman beside her. "Oh, Alana," she purred, her voice a velvet caress woven with Jedi calm and charm. "These tunnels are tight, but I wager we'll find a way to… slip through together, nice and close." Her words dripped with innuendo, her gaze flicking to Alana's blaster, then back to her face, as if measuring more than just her combat skills. The kyber bells in her hair jingled softly, a delicate counterpoint to the weight of her lightsaber gleaming at her hip.

She stepped into the min holding a hand out to the wall. "Only for a bit? Well sounds like I might have to show you a good time. An Atrisian can go for hours... days even." She laughed a little though. "Little bit." She had to chuckle with that while heading down while her hands adjusted her sash and kimono to let her move quickly.

Alana arched a brow at Junko's teasing, her lips tugging into a small, knowing smirk. "Careful," She said, her voice smooth, touched with that dry Core accent she never quite shook.

This woman was trouble, and Alana wasn't sure what to think of that. She usually liked trouble...and that was troubling in and of itself.

"Flattery and innuendo might get you a smile, maybe even a second look. But promises about stamina?"
Her gaze flicked down briefly, pointedly, before rising again to meet Junko's with a spark of challenge. "That's dangerous territory to walk into unless you're ready to prove it, and I think we got bigger things ahead of us than debates on stamina."

She watched the woman sizing her up, appraising her almost. It was a nice distraction from the chill she was feeling right now from this damnable place. Still, better to not let the mind wander too far...Alana knew all to well how far she could wander. "As for thirst…" Alana's eyes traced the mine's shadows, her hand resting lightly near her blaster grip, "…let's just say I don't mind a little heat. Question is, can you handle it when it's not just words?"

She needed to stop. A small part of her told her to, but old habits died hard.

Her smirk deepened, the edge of her voice somewhere between banter and a promise, as she gestured for Junko to take the lead into the winding dark. "I'll go in first. Let's see how this little affair goes, then we'll talk after."

She started forward, trying not to pay any attention to the woman removing her robes, sliding past Junko to start down into the dark. As much fun as they could have standing around and throwing lines at one another, Alana had come here for a purpose.

She pulled out a small light from her utility belt, and began the slow walk into the darkness.

"Oh I can handle quite a lot." SHe gave a wink going into the mine as she shifted her position so that Alana might be able to use her blasterr without interference if it was needed. The air changing a little before she walked softly. "And affair? Oh sweetie, the things I am thinking of would be a scandal in twelve systems and possibly illegal in three." She said it from behind her as the light came out framing and casting shadows of Alana as she was walking. "Hmm might be just as good watching you go. I can just imagine what you must look like in all that bounty hunter leathers maybe some synthax with your hair slicked back." SHe said it and spoke but her senses, her eyes were following the mines themselves. Awareness keenly focused on everything as she took it in.

The cave swallowed them whole, damp air heavy with the tang of metal and dust. The crystalline veins along the walls pulsed faintly, ghostlight flickering in time with the uneasy hum of the Force. Alana slowed, her boots crunching softly on gravel, and tried to steady her breathing. The air was wrong here; too cold, too still, just felt another presence in here.

She glanced sideways at Junko, smirk tugging at her lips even though her pulse thudded harder in her throat. "You feel that too, right? Im guessing this isn’t the Force's way of telling me I've been spending too much time in dark places with beautiful women?"

Her hand ghosted near her pistol grip as she scanned the shadows ahead. The crystals gleamed faintly, casting warped reflections on the walls; shapes that seemed to shift when she wasn't looking directly at them.

"Not exactly the candlelit atmosphere I had in mind," She added, her tone light, teasing to mask the edge of tension. She leaned a little closer as they moved deeper, lowering her voice to something conspiratorial. "Though, I guess a haunted mine does add a certain thrill to the whole…shoulder-to-shoulder thing."

Something scraped against the stone farther down the tunnel; too big, too jagged to be just loose rock.

“Syntax? Leathers? Might have me mixed up for a swoop rider sweetheart-“ Then she paused, realizing that, she had tried that look once. A long time ago.

Alana's smirk faltered for just a second, before she forced it back, her red eyes glinting in the dim glow.

"Tell you what," She murmured, half-flirtation, half-bravado, "If we make it out of here without something eating us, I'll let you pick where I take you out at, like a date…or long as it’s not some place eager to kill us."

She moved and listened. Alana was well intriguing as it were and providing plenty of awareness and skill. She could sense it and moved a little allowing the force to expand throughout her body. One hand going to her saber but she didn't take it off.. her makashi wasn't really ideal for this but she could make a great show of shii-cho. She moved as Alana was in front of her.. taking in the mines around them and the sounds from ahead as she was prepared for a fight. "But... what if." She said it and made herself look the picture of innocence, demure and sweet. "What if I want us to eat each other and not some creature?" Junko said it with a wink betraying her completely innocent act and voice tapping her fingers together like it was a nervous habit but it was more the middle and index finger on either hand interlocking. Junko giving the most innocent smile with a gleam in her eyes. Junko looked at her but pushed a little for them to go forward as the sounds were coming and she worked to make a force barrier between them just in case of attack.

Alana stopped dead in her tracks, the flickering crystal light of the mine catching the curve of her grin. She half-turned, letting her eyes sweep over Junko with a look that was part disbelief, part wicked amusement.

This woman was something else, and she couldn’t work out what to make of that.

"Stars above…" She breathed, chuckling under her breath as she shook her head. Her cheeks burned and she struggled on what to say next, struggling with the light she held in hand. "I’m…really not sure what to say about that, ask me if we get caught in a cave in."

Her grin only widened, teeth flashing in the light as she leaned a little closer, her voice dropping playful and husky. "Force almighty. You keep saying things like that and I might think you want something from me."

A sound rumbled deeper in the mine; stone grinding on stone, or maybe something dragging against the walls. The floor trembled faintly beneath their boots. Alana forced her shoulders to stay loose, hand drifting toward her blaster.

She glanced toward the widening passage ahead, shadows spilling into an open cavern. The air was thicker here, humming with unnatural energy that pressed against her skin. The walls glittered faintly with ghostfire veins, their pale glow spilling across jagged stone and black pools of still water.

Alana exhaled slowly, tilting her head toward Junko without taking her eyes off the dark maw of the cavern. "You know," She said, voice a low murmur, "Could have had the date before we got into this damn cave…."

The air shifted, carrying a deep growl that rolled out from the cavern ahead; low, and guttural. Alana steadied her stance, her grin still clinging like armor. "First we deal with whatever that is, then we'll go celebration."

Alana Calloway Alana Calloway

Junko maintained the barrier in front of them as Alana moved closer and she talked... oh she spoke and it was good. The lean in was perfect as JUnko debated just closing the gap. "Well I could think of a few things I want from you... all of them we are overdressed for." The smile was more a half grin for a moment when Alana was pulling back and thinking about things... she seemed prepared for a fight and Junko was right there behind her shoulder in a mixture of being able to move forward and help but also not get in the way. She whispered a little. "A date only tells us what we want to see. I am sure you are all charm and smoulder just like I will always make sure the finest display of the Atrisian people is shown." She was looking forward more in the mines and shadows while pushing with her senses out. "I'll hold you to that celebration."

Alana let a slow, teasing laugh slip through, low and warm, as she kept her eyes on the twisting shadows of the cavern ahead. Her hand brushed idly along her blaster, but her focus flicked to Junko, the smirk on her face sharper now.

"Overdressed, huh?" She murmured, letting the words hang like a spark in the dim light. She leaned just slightly closer, enough for Junko to feel the heat without breaking stride. "You really know how to tempt a girl when the walls are closing in on us."

Her red eyes glinted, catching the pale glow from the veins along the cavern walls. "I'll take you up on that celebration," She said, voice low, husky with amusement. "Fair warning…" She let the corner of her mouth twitch into a wicked grin. "You might be disappointed in the locale I have in mind."

Alana's gaze flicked to the shadows ahead, letting the playful tension linger, even as the unnatural hum of the cavern pressed against them. Her posture relaxed just enough to be dangerous, ready for anything, but her voice and glance made it clear she wasn't letting the flirtation go quiet.

"Guess we'll see," Alana added, letting a mischievous glint linger in her eyes as she started moving forward, keeping the mood light as they pressed forward.

"Is it because your bed is made just for you... don't worry I can be on top... or is the backseat of a speeder a little exposed?" She said it moving forward with a look as the shadows wrapped around with the crystal veins. Her mind sensing, awareness flaring but still able to multitask. "Though who knows, might need a little deep muscle rub." She had a hand out with the force there in the crystals as the veins brightened making sharper shadows but also illuminating the area. Her head motioning. "Shall we go forward, hard to watch your butt sway and bounce if we just stand around... can't imagine the sounds that will come from them... of if you have some tattoo hidden on that body."
