+ Spearmaster: As Spearmaster, Aki is the greatest hunter of his tribe. He is extremely adept at hunting, tracking and surviving in the wilderness.
+ Whiphid Biology: As a Whiphid, Aki has all the traits of his people. This includes extreme resistance to the cold due to the thick fur and fat he is capable of maintaining. Additionally, he is a nearly three meter being who lives by his own hunting and is an excellent warrior with traditional weapons.
- Tribal protector: Aki has lived his whole life on Toola and is unfamiliar with the galaxy at large. Blasters and all weapons he has not crafted are considered taboo and he will only use them in dire circumstance.
- Thick furred: While he is able to shed his fur and fat layers quickly, Aki is still a creature built for cold climes and finds any warm environment uncomfortable.
APPEARANCE:
Aki is a tall, muscular figure with extremely broad shoulders and a savage tusked heads on the top. With two flaring nostrils and narrowed yellow eyes, his features are normally obscured by his shaggy pelt, the hair upon his face hanging with various charms and talismans that he has scrimshawed. During the warmer climbs, his pelt recedes to show his face proper, with leathery skin and a maw almost permanently fixed in a scowl.
His hands end in razor sharp claws, capable of tearing through the hide and muscle of a Caraboose, ha tusks also break constantly and are growing constantly. He frequently will use these in the crafting of new weapons and tools for himself. His voice has a lyrical whooping accent and he still will name creatures and the like with his native language as communicating in basic is still difficult.
Clothing-wise, he usually wears torn hide of game he has hunted, as his pelt usually obscures most of his features. If he has shed fur recently, he will wear tanned leather and hide of creatures he has hunted and consumed.
BIOGRAPHY:
Once content to live amongst the tribes of his people, Aki travelled the tundra’s of Toola upon his Tuggle sled, trapping for pelts and meat to provide for his tribe and scrimshawing the bones into charms and amulets for himself. The Whiphid life is a violent and primitive struggle but to those who excel at it, a savage purity can be found. Only the strongest survive the winters and those who do not are no longer there to burden the others.
Born during a savage storm, the shamans predicted the soul of winter would dwell within the child and the the would be plagued with despair wherever he walked. From this, Aki was discarded upon an ice floe for his family did not wish to risk their village. But, whether by chance or destiny, he not only survived but flourished, found by a pack of Ice Tigers, the mother accepted him as her own and he glutted upon her milk until he was strong enough to subside upon meat. Learning to hunt alongside the pack, he became a legendary spirit to the other Whiphids of the tribe who believed him one of the Ice Demons. Often, during the fiercest storms, he would attack the Mastmot and Caraboose herds that his people survived by and it wasn’t long until he was trapped.
Kept amongst the tribe, he slowly began to regain the heritage he had lost, learning the language and skills of his people. Having grown used to hunting I’m the storms, he excelled at bringing in great game and when the time came for the villagers Spearmaster to select a successor, Aki was the obvious choice.
It was there he remained until traders arrived by shuttle to Toola. Not understanding who they were, Aki still understood enough to comprehend what they were telling him. After many rare pelts were offered, he secured protection for his tribe and passage for himself. A whole galaxy of beasts awaited for him to test himself against.
