Sometimes you need to move faster, hit harder, fight longer. Not everyone has the benefit of the Force on their side and cybernetics are not the answer for everyone. The Akaanir Nodule was developed to enhance the average soldier, taking someone with no superhuman potential and lifting them up to a point where they can touch the bar if not extend over it.
The Nodules, grown in synthetic tanks are implanted into the chest usually above the heart though the two organs are autonomous of one another. During combat the Nodule can be activated whereupon it introduces hyper-stimulant to the heart which then filters it to the rest of the body. Musculature intensifies, fast twitch response time increases and fatigue decreases almost completely.
Initial trials yielded a 99% acceptance rate however a small percentage of patients will die during the procedure or due to rejection from the body during the healing process.
The Akaanir Nodules translates to literally mean 'Fighting Nodule' in Mando'a as its purpose is to increase the combat prowess and effectiveness of all Mando'ade to receive it to even more lethal heights.

- Adrenal Enhanced Physicality: The Nodule provides those implanted with it adrenal enhanced boosts to their strength and speed as the body is flooded with synthetic adrenaline and hyper-adrenal stimulant. Results vary between individuals however in the majority of cases strength and speed are doubled for the duration the adrenal stimulant is released into the body. Tripling is possible but discouraged for reasons discussed below.
WEAKNESSES
- Another Organ: The Nodule is another organ introduced into the body. It has no resistances beyond those normally associated with organic material. Damage to the body has the potential to damage the nodule as well.
- Over stimulation: As mentioned above the Nodule typically provides a standard doubling of the strength and speed due to the hyper-stimulants introduced into the body however tripling is possible. Tripling occurs when the nodule floods the body with an overabundance of stimulant for a prolonged period of time which can lead to increased biological stressors, overdose and cardiac arrest. Tripling can be safely maintained for roughly five minutes after which the hyper stimulant will cause blurred vision, muscle spasms and eventual cardiac failure.
