Hand to hand combat - An expert in hand to hand combat, Aito is deadly in combat and is proficient in several martial arts to disarm, overwhelm and defeat opponents who underestimate him when he is unarmed.
Ranged combat - While Aito has a preference for sword combat, he is well versed in using sniper rifles and heavy blasters, they are not his preferred method of combat but he will use them if he deems it necessary for the situation.
Melee combat - An expert in swordfighting, Aito is deadly with a blade and sees great honour in defeating an opponent with one. He has yet to fight an opponent who can best him or be deemed worthy in his eyes.
Well educated - Aito has a decent education, while he isn’t considered a genius or highly intelligent, he is educated and has a decent understanding of the galactic events as well as understanding some foreign languages.
Appearance:
Aito is usually wearing his Mandalorian armour, currently it isn’t made of beskar but he is proud of his Mandalorian background, his helm is of beskar painted deep red and black with some Atrisian stylings referencing his background. His black straight hair reaches his shoulders, he usually ties it into a top knot. His dark eyes are filled with passion and determination, with a trimmed, well groomed beard. His frame is well built and muscular, but littered in scars and burn marks, he has trained it to be an expert in combat and stamina. This allows him to be in peak physical condition.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Expert in hand to hand combat, Aito is deadly with his fists and feet, trained in several katas and boxing styles. Aito is often found in fighting pits/rings as well as dueling rings and occasional death matches. His aggression is fierce and there is a bloodlust in Aito that he tries to hide from others, this often comes out when he is in fights or battles and he loses himself to fighting and killing his opponents.
Melee weapons are Aito’s speciality, his skill with several melee weapons is what he considers legendary. Aito is arrogant in his skills but is also undefeated in several battles, his preferred choice of weapon is a sword, his vibrosword of several years old. He is also skilled with a dagger, throwing knives, staff, spear, axe and warhammer. His skills have led him to believe that he would defeat a Jedi in combat, whether that is true or not is not known currently.
Ranged combat is not something that Aito is well known for, he is skilled with a sniper and uses heavy blasters but he doesn’t use them often. These are usually saved for assassinations and long range combat where he can’t get close with his sword. His gun skills can always be improved and his sniper skills are good but not the best, it is one skill where he has to practice a lot to keep his skills up.
Aito’s social skills are quite lacking, he isn’t versed in small talk and enjoying the company of others. While he wishes he could be better in small talk and strike conversations, Aito just finds himself being awkward, out of place and unable to follow a conversation with multiple people. His mind is much more focused in combat and he is driven as a warrior more than anything else.
Drinking and occasional spice use are vices that Aito uses to counter the depression and isolation feelings that he has whenever he is having a quiet moment. Aito is careful to avoid appearing as a drunk or druggie but it can be clear to see times when he is dependent or unable to resist getting wasted when drinking or using the spice.
While not an expert pilot, Aito is skilled in flying ships and driving vehicles, spending some time in swoop bike races or the occasional podrace. He isn’t the best out there but he is reliable in his skills as a racer that few people question his ability to win in underground circles.
Biography:
Aito was born to a modest family of 6 on Atrisia, he came from a well earning background, while his family was not wealthy they were not strapped for cash either. Growing up, Aito was educated in many subjects, from the off it was clear that Aito was skilled in sports with a vested interest in boxing and martial arts. His parents got him privately trained in martial arts and he would often train in a boxing club that was in the working class area of his town. His skills grew quickly and he was competing in competitions and boxing matches as his ambition in being the best fighter burned brighter.
As Aito fought in competitions, his aggression grew and his parents started fearing that he was becoming too aggressive and brutal as he fought. They attempted to remove him from fighting and teach him compassion and empathy, while he took on these lessons and showed understanding, Aito snuck into underground fighting circles where he would often beat opponents to near death. It took months for his parents to realise that he was fighting in the pits. When they realised that his aggression was hospitalising people and nearly killing strangers, they disowned Aito fearing what he could do to his siblings if he got into a fight with them. At the tender age of 15, Aito was abandoned and forced to fend for himself.
Disowned, Aito pushed to be in more and more fighting matches, leading him to enter into death matches and compete with men twice his age and decades of experience. Aito became skilled in swordplay, training with a variety of weapons under a sword master he paid with his earnings. By the age of 20, Aito had left Atrisia behind and was regularly fighting in dueling rings and sparring matches, he even worked as an assassin and bounty hunter to earn a much more regular pay. His life was simple and lonely, never really connecting with others after his family left him behind. When he got into a dangerous battle due to an assassination going sideways, Aito found himself taken in by a Mandalorian who was in his fifities.
This Mandalorian was from a clan on the verge of collapse, the final member of the clan, he trained Aito in using a sniper rifle, heavy blasters and how to fight as a Mandalorian. Aito trained for years with the Mandalorian before being made a foundling, told that he needed to find his own path as this Mandalorian had years ago. Aito forged a helmet of beskar and donned non-beskar armour to show that he is a foundling, he worked to prove himself as a Mandalorian, struggling to find his place in the galaxy and what Mandalorians to trust as his mentor passed away not long after making him a foundling.
Now at the age of 34, Aito Vautah works as a bounty hunter and assassin for several gangs and keeps an eye out for other Mandalorians to learn from and potentially find a clan to join, make his own clan or understand more of how Mandalorians work as a group.
