SPECIAL FEATURES

• Like all weapons designed by Aurora Industries, the Vraska is designed with versatility in mind, along with extremely high damage output. However, for this new weapon, the versatility is accomplished in a different manner than other more recent Aurora weapons as the weapon utilizes a Sianarc Power Pack to ensure the disruptor bolts fired from it do not suffer from the age-old weakness of disruptors only being useful in close ranges. The Vraska has two different firing configurations that can be switched with the press of a button on the weapon's grip or from an integrated HUD command:
  • While set to Reaper Mode, the weapon's standard configuration, the Vraska utilizes a mixture of TibannaX and Sig gases to create a nearly invisible bolt of disruptive energy. Like normal disruptors, the mixed gases are energized beyond normal blaster bolts, altering the particle composition of the bolts to increase their damage output and disintegrate the targets by disrupting the molecular bonds of whatever the bolt impacts. This bolt, barely perceptible as almost like a heat mirage as it travels to the target, can punch through armors made with some of the strongest materials known to the galaxy such as beskar and phrik, let alone other materials like durasteel, turadium, or impervium, reducing them to ashes and dust.
  • White set to Breakthrough Mode, the weapon rushes all of the gas within the slotted canister into the exciter and Heter Valve, creating an even more powerful single-shot blast. Unlike the Reaper Mode, this supercharge disruptor bolt leans more into the Sig equation of the gas mixture, creating a visible bolt when fired. However, because of the increased power, this single shot from the weapon is designed to disintegrate and destroy smaller ground vehicles and cripple larger ones, punching through and disintegrating their armor to deal with the pilots within.
• The Vraska is equipped with a sound suppressor to make pinpointing the location of the sniper wielding it nearly impossible to detect from the retort of the rifle firing.
• The Vraska is also equipped with thorilide shock absorbers to reduce the massive amount of recoil of the weapon to a more manageable, if still high, amount.
• Utilizing a protective liquid coating and animated metal sealant in the design of the weapon, the Vraska is highly protected against environmental stresses and can be used in any environment without fear of the weapon failing due to adverse conditions such as snow, ice, sand, water, and so on.

STRENGTHS

• The Vraska's ability to fire near-invisible, armor-piercing, extremely powerful disruptor bolts that can easily take down infantry or vehicles in its Breakthrough mode makes it a potent tool for any sniper that wants to ensure their targets will never again trouble their employer or commander.
• The integrated sound suppressor and thorilide shock absorbers, along with the integrated bi-pod that can reshape itself for a stable firing platform, ensure the sniper can't be detected through sound, and the recoil from the weapon, though high, is manageable.

WEAKNESSES

• While the Vraska offers extreme firepower with its near-invisible bolts, it has an extremely small ammunition capacity and slow rate of fire, ensuring it is best left to dedicated snipers and assassins rather than placed in the hands of standard infantry.
• Because Breakthrough Mode utilizes the full gas canister, if the sniper has fired even a single shot from the slotted canister, they can't activate the supercharge feature of Breakthrough Mode unless they slot in a completely fresh gas canister.

DESCRIPTION

Developed as part of Aurora Industries' Gilgamesh Program, the AI-237x "Vraska" was designed to be the company's first dedicated sniper rifle. While the AI-441b "Aurelia" had a sniper module that could be swapped onto the weapon, the weapon design team at Aurora wanted something fully dedicated to the role and capable of far more punch than a modular configuration for the company's standard blaster rifle could deliver.

The team settled on a disruptor rifle design, using a Sianarc Power Pack to ensure the weapon would have sufficient power to reach the ranges they and their upper management desired. In addition, the team wanted to create a weapon that would protect the position of the sniper whenever they fired, and to ensure this, they created a new gas canister for the weapon. The new canister would use a mixture of TibannaX sourced from their partnership with Mara TibX and Sig blaster gases to create an extremely powerful, nearly invisible, disruptor bolt that could pierce through even the strongest armor materials in the galaxy. A sound suppressor was built into the weapon, and to try and mitigate the insane recoil the weapon had, both a thorilide shock absorber was installed in the stock and butt of the rifle, and a new bi-pod system that could reshape against surfaces to provide for a stable firing position for a sniper.
