The assignment had been Prystill's idea. The particulars of it were going to require someone considerably more qualified. Prystill had consequently traded the formal uniform of the Foreign Ministry for something better suited to a visit to the M.I.S.S.: fitted black trousers, low boots, and a pale lavender blouse beneath a dark, collarless jacket. Professional enough to represent her office, but without the ceremonial rigidity that accompanied most ministerial functions.

Beside her stood the reason for the visit. "Nerra Trulas," Prystill introduced, gesturing toward the Mirialan. "Chrome Guardian, and presently assigned the unenviable responsibility of keeping me alive." The faint smile accompanying the description suggested Prystill considered the latter half more difficult than Nerra's official title.

She allowed R'ayne a moment to take in the Guardian herself. Nerra had arrived without the distinctive armor of her order, dressed instead in the dark clothing appropriate to Prystill's protective detail. The facial markings and green skin made disguising what she was impossible, but nothing about the woman otherwise demanded attention. She simply stood where she could observe both the office and its occupants, hands resting loosely behind her back.

"After Shinbone, it was decided that my security arrangements required... improvement." That was the diplomatic version. Prystill wasn't interested in revisiting the considerably less diplomatic version. "Nerra is trained to protect officials from conventional threats. Unfortunately, the people inclined to threaten Imperial ministers are not always considerate enough to remain conventional."

Her attention shifted briefly toward Nerra before returning to R'ayne. "Which brings us to you." Prystill produced a datapad and placed it upon R'ayne's desk. The preliminary specifications for Nerra's Chrome Guardian armor occupied the screen. "I want to know what we can realistically do to improve her chances against a Force User. Armor modifications. Materials. Sensors. Weapons. Countermeasures. Anything Science and Bioengineering can provide that gives Nerra another option when someone decides the laws of physics are merely suggestions."

There was one important qualification. "I'm not asking you to make her capable of defeating a Sith Lord in single combat. I'm asking you to make sure that confronting one doesn't automatically mean she's already lost."

Prystill finally looked toward her bodyguard. "And since Nerra is the one who will actually have to wear whatever monstrosity we devise, I thought it appropriate that she be involved from the beginning."

That was Nerra's invitation to step forward. For the first time since entering the office, the Mirialan's attention settled fully upon R'ayne. "Minister Asara." She gave a respectful inclination of her head. "Tell me what you need to know."
