BIOGRAPHY:
The first memories that Aeson has is of the lush planet Sorgan, and of his first parents. He was born to a couple of Mirialan missionaries to Sorgan, both of whom were dedicated healers. For a time, his life was spent with them and their work. Surprisingly, unlike his parents, Aeson was not born with a connection to the Force. Yet, he remembers the happiness and love that radiated from them at this time. But, all was not to stay this way.
While a mostly peaceful planet, Sorgan was not without its problems. Because of its backwater position in the Outer RIm, Sorgan attracted the attention of various criminals and lawless elements. The natives were endlessly harassed by various gangs and ne'er-do-wells who passed through. in their desperation, the elders of Aeson's village contracted mercenaries from Clan Wren as protection. Yet, their protection was not always successful. During one fateful raid on the village by pirates, Aeson's parents were killed in the crossfire. At the age of 7, he was orphaned. Taking pity on the boy, the members of Clan Wren evoked the ancient tradition of adopting children orphaned by war.
Thus, the young boy from Sorgan was sojourned to Krownest, and adopted among Clan Wren. For years, his new foster-family taught them their ways. He became an exceptional fighter and warrior, as is expected by those of Mandalore's Way. Additionally, Aeson made his intentions clear to continue the work of his birth-parents, interested in the art of medicine. Under the tutelage of his Clan's medics, he learned the trade. At age 13, he underwent his verd'goten, becoming a man in Mandalorian culture. His studies continued as he grew, becoming more and more confident in his medical skills.
But as young man, he saw tragedy inflicted on his new family. Firstly, he was fresh-faced when he saw the great planet of Mandalore ignite into a volcanic hellscape due to the schemes of the Dark Side. He witnessed his people become vengeful and splintered under the banner of Ra Vizsla and Yasha Cadera. He saw their allies betray them one by one. Most grievous was the absolute massacre brought down by the Sith Empire upon the Mandalorians. He has since watched horror as Emperor Carnifex desecrate Manda'yaim, renaming it "Mordinae" in the effort cleanse his people's history from the world.
Yet, despite all of the hardship, he remembered something that the Sith Emperor neglected. "Mandalore" was an idea, a culture, and not a place. Aeson's people would gather again elsewhere, and rise up once more. They need not a world, for this was not the first time Mandalore's Children were diasporic. No, they need only clan, armor, and the Resol'nare. Thus, Aeson would become nomadic, moving from one Mandalorian community to another, offering his skills where he could. He now offers it to the budding Mandalorian Union.
TRAITS:
[+] Combat Ready: Being raised in a Mandalorian clan, Aeson has capable skills as a fighter and soldier. While not a sharpshooter, he is still very accurate with a blaster. He is also versed in Mandalorian techniques for hand-to-hand combat, and has a glancing knowledge in Teras Kasi. Not enough to be a true practitioner, but enough to know certain anti-Jedi moves.
[+] Medical Training: Aeson has spent many years learning how to be a field medic for his clan. He specializes in battlefield traumas such as broken limbs or wounds, but has enough knowledge to treat infections and even some knowledge in midwifery.
[~] Hippocratic Oath: As a medic, he has sworn to "do no harm" to the patients under his care, among other things. Ethically, this means he would not use his role as a medic to intentionally or maliciously act against someone under his medical care. This goes for friend and enemy alike, despite disagreements from others.
[-] Odd One Out: Despite being brought up Mandalorian, Aeson still remembers his first family. He still embraces the Mirialan part of his heritage, and can often be found meditating. However, this connection to his previous life makes him uncomfortable around some other Mandalorians, who might view such passive practices "weak" and "Un-Mando".
EQUIPMENT:
-His beskar'gam, as seen above. It is mostly durasteel save for the helmet. Equiped with modified macrobinoculars that allow him to do meticulous work with the injured and sick.
-A DL-44 heavy blaster, in carbine configuration
-A set of vambrances, equipped with a whipcord launcher, a wrist mounted holoprojector, an electro-dart shooter, and a personal combat shield generator.
-A kal, the traditional Mando knife. Equal parts weapon and tool
-A DC-17 hand blaster, as a back up.
-A utility belt filled with various first aid bacta, usually either bacta syringes or bacta patches
VEHICLES:
-The Jahaal'yaim, a Tal-class medic frigate
COMPANIONS:
M3-D, a red and white BD unit droid tasked with doing quick medical diagnoistic scans on the battlefield for Aeson.
Shev'la, a melanistic female loth-cat that keeps him company
