::A BROKEN LEGACY::
The Saigo family was never a prominent one on Eriadu, moreover it is rather new - arrived from Anaxes sometime in the start of the Gulag plague, they are descendants of House Tregessar of Anaxes, being a cadet branch in the infamous House. Mainly ship industrialists or naval officers stemmed from the wealthy family over the decades, most likely due to the family's predecessors. What separated them from the rest despite their obscurity were their excellent relations with the much more infamous family of Tarkin. Perhaps that relationship gave the Saigo family an upper hand in many situations and in the 'development' of their children.
Surely this relationship gave the birth of Aeric Saigo.
His father, Xander Saigo, had been wed to the younger daughter of the Tarkins - Athlena Tarkin. Giving birth to two sons and two daughters. The middle child's fate would be the fate of Aeric Saigo.
Born and bred into wealth and prosperity, Aeric found life easy compared to the average person on Eriadu. The two families were not stupid. They were not to leave their legacy into the dump by spoiling their children. That never happened and never will. Life for a child in a prominent family was much harder than most would think and argue. There were by far more 'do not-s' than 'do-s' but such discipline and method of raising children had been tested millions of times since the creation of man.
It worked.
It preserved legacies.
Upon reaching the age of enrollment, Aeric immediately found himself in the ranks of the naval academy of the Eriadu Defence Force. His skills and discipline gave him the opportunity to climb the rank ladder quicker, while often being shunned by those who did not come from wealthy households. A trait of jealousy that Aeric made sure not to mind, despite at first often reacting cruelly to any allegations behind his back.
Life went on well with his older brother taking the reigns of the family until the moment Eriadu found itself in the grasp of the Galactic Alliance. A government highly disliked by the imperialistic families of Eriadu. Aeric agitated for remaining neutral, for keeping any relation with the Galactic Alliance only economical. He did not wish to see the Alliance's judicial laws enforced on his home planet. He'd never allow it.
Aeric contemplated on defecting to the First Order. A much more exemplary style of leadership and politics for his taste. Before any of this could happen, the wars with the First Order and the Great Galactic War brought economical crisis to numerous systems across Alliance space. With his older brother's rather lavish and chaotic spending, the Saigo family found itself at the brink of financial collapse. His sisters were easily taken under the wing of the Tarkins, his brother committed suicide leaving Aeric Saigo the sole scion of the small family. He sold much of Saigo's assets and immigrated to Wild Space where the rise of a new government would give him the stepping stone to restore his family's legacy.
The golden opportunity for much more experienced Aeric Saigo who the legacy of a centuries old family rested on his shoulders. He was no longer in his youth.
Time was running out.
