OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The head of the Aendiginus is similar to it's wings in that it can be sheathed, the crown as seen in the above picture isn't actually it's face; the creature's face is hidden under the crown, and without unsheathing from under the crown, the Aendiginus is incapable of breathing fire. Additionally, the consistent use of the crown's protection has caused the creatures vision to devolve, the Aendiginus is able to sense beings and creatures through smell, sound and the force.
Over the centuries, the front claws of the Aendiginus have evolved like pincers, used for digging into rock and earth, becoming incredibly effective at tearing through a variety of substances.
The multiple tails have evolved to help manoeuvre within aquatic and volcanic environments without the use of its wings, allowing it to effectively swim. These tails are in constant use, and require flexibility when under extreme pressure; whilst still able to withstand the heat of magma, it's tails are more vulnerable than the rest of its body. However, the Aendiginus does have full control of its tails, able to use them like an arm or leg; making them flexible and capable of dodging slow moving objects.
Skeletal Armour: Through the hibernation of these Volcanic creatures, they have developed a hard marble-rock like skin that provides heavy defence against extreme heat, including plasma from blasters and lightsaber. Thus making the creature have high defence against small arms fire with the exception of concentrated high-power cannon fire and continuous inflicted strikes from a lightsaber.
Huge: The Aendiginus is a humongous beast, it's sheer size and weight make it extremely dangerous to humanoid beings, being able to crush people like insects and buildings alike.
Speed: Due the multi-utility nature of both its wings and tails, the Aendiginus can traverse both sky, water and space incredibly quickly for an animal of its size, outrunning even smaller ships.
Tail: The tails, while large and capable of being used as weaponry; are still far more vulnerable than anywhere else on its body. The skin is more like calloused and hardened flesh than skeletal armour; allowing them to be damaged by even small arms fire. The continual lose of tails could lead to excess bleeding, causing the creature to fall into a state of extreme fatigue and die from a loss of blood.
Blindness: Aendiginus relies on its feral senses of sound, smell and the force. Using these to identify and attack its enemies. This makes, those who can cloak their force signature or remain silent incredibly difficult for the creature to target. This extends to droids as well, as they have no obvious smell or force signature; they are an oddity to these beings. This also makes it difficult for an Aendiginus to target ships or cannons without being fired upon first.
Flight Impairment: The Aendiginus must be careful when flying, as if attacked; it may never fly again. The flesh of the wings are the weakest part of its body, susceptible to lightsaber and heavy small arms fire. If a wing is injured, this greatly impairs an Aendiginus' ability to fly.
CULTURE
Hundreds of Thousands of years ago, the Aendiginus species were native to Edemar; having evolved from small wyvern like creatures when the planet had originally came to bear life. Billions of years ago, the planet suffered a volcanic planet-wide apocalyptic event; killing all of the planets wildlife with the exception of the Aendiginus. They evolved into serpents, hibernating within the volcanic ruins of Edemar.
For billions of years, the creatures hibernated within the volcanic planets crust as it reformed above them; overtime growing in size and power as the conditions for their survival grew scarce, having to fight among themselves for survival. Soon, many of the remaining Aendiginus died out. Leaving only eggs in their place, growing on the fat of the new world. These eggs, were seen as inactive volcanoes. And as the planet slumbered beyond known space, they slept eternally.
Upon the arrival of the Jedi Autocratic Order, ruling from Nibelungen the Jedi order discovered these creatures in the process of their terraforming, awakening an adult from its sleep. The creature ravaged Edemar for months before they were able to slay it. Killing the others, smaller ones in their sleep. However, one yet remains undisturbed to this day. Larger than the one that had woke before, filled with fear they left it dormant, feeling nothing from the massive form from within the inactive volcano.
