Description:
Aela Talith has always been a defensive fighter.

When in combat Aela has predominantly been known for always taking a rather reserved approach. She does not lash out, attack, or try to strike down her opponent unless absolutely necessary. To better aid in this Aela has always relied on more defensive techniques in the force such as Force Barrier, bubble, Stasis, and many others along that same line. When it came to Lightsaber combat Aela, rather ironically, focused on the teachings of her Grandfather. She studied the way that Moridin fought, utilizing knowledge from his journals and accounts from different battles that the Sith Emperor had taken a part in.

This study eventually settled Aela on a very fluid style of combat.

Where most defensive fighters focus on becoming a 'tank' so to speak, Aela instead became more focused on avoiding her opponents more than anything else. She sought not to directly confront her opponent, but instead to weave and dodge around them, to never allow them to land a proper strike. So far, the Single lightsaber she carries has been excellent for this purpose, allowing her quick and swift motions with a maximum amount of control over the given battle. This style was further aided by the bracers her brother forged her as well as her own techniques in the force, allowing her greater control over the fight.

As she came more into her own and entered more battles, Aela eventually came to realize that although she utilized both the force and her lightsaber to equal amounts, she became more and more reliant on her lightsaber as time went on in a conflict. This weakness, albeit small, was exploitable. Thus, Aela took steps to fix this gap within her fighting style.

To effectively mitigate and perhaps even exploit this weakness herself, Aela began to tinker with several forms of lightsabers. Eventually, she came to the decision that using another lightsaber or any solution therof would simply be a detriment to how she fought and she settled upon the use of a light-shield in case of emergencies. Due to the nature of her armor, and other trinkets that she wore, Aela eventually settled on the use of glove instead of a bracer. This of course, required some tinkering.

With Supplies from Vanir Technologies and guidance from her father, as well as her mother, Aela eventually managed to construct a unique glove fitted to her left hand.

The glove itself was nothing special, made of simple armorweave and covered in plasteel plates. Built into the glove however is the mechanisms for a Light-shield, intrinsically and meticulously placed into the glove itself. The unique feature of the glove is that the Light-Shield mechanism has more than one emitter. These emitters are activated by the motion of her fingers, only one being able to activate at a time. These emitters are placed on the back of her hand and within her palm, meaning she can project a flat, disc light-shield blade on either side of her hand.

The disc itself could not grow bigger than .3 meters and was always just that, a disc. It holds the same properties as any light-shield, and thus any lightsaber...except its a disc. Both of the emitters utilize a VT-Disruptor Lens, meaning that armors and weapons who strike the Light Shield of Yuuzhan Vong origin will find themselves rather...scorched.
