Advocates of Peace (Silver Jedi Ambassadors)

Outside of the Silver Rest...
Er6tw3E.png
"In times of war, there is no greater tool than Diplomacy"
- Veiere Arenais.
Veiere stood outside of the Silver Rest, watching the water rippling from the flow of the three falls before him. He had called for a meeting with those current and interested diplomats and prospective ambassadors of the Order of the Silver Jedi, in order to gauge their readiness for the times that lay ahead. Through-out history, Jedi had participated in times of war and conflict, creating a reputation for themselves both in and outside of combat, most known not for their ability to kill, but their will to advocate for peace and fight for the greater good if and when necessary. For most Jedi Organizations, violence was a last resort and something to be avoided where possible. The Army of Light was a possible exception to this, but for the majority, having to fight in war wasn't something to be proud of. For the Order of the Silver Jedi, many had fought and died in the past for the betterment of Galactic Society and the safe-keeping of Law and Order, yet for every soldier or combatant within the Silver Jedi, there needed to be a counter-weight to balance and represent their strongest of ideologies. Those that the Order was founded on, by Jedi for all.

Today, he wanted to hear the thoughts and recent experiences of his peers, and to hear their feelings on current events. Where there was conflict, there was often Jedi, and with Jedi came controversy from the outside looking in. For those whom advocated for peace, part of their role and responsibility was being able to counter-act any argument that would be taken up against the Order, as people in politics, so often tried. In his youth, the Jedi Master had been taught that the Jedi had no place in politics, however Veiere's understanding of the political environment didn't rest solely with government authority or dominion over others, but the Order held it's own form of political image, representing it's virtue to fellow Jedi groups and organizations, as well as those whom most especially lacked faith in their intentions.

To represent the Jedi of an group, meant to be willing to face adversity of another kind, and accept that not everyone would be willing to agree with their ideologies, their perspectives. And this was okay, providing no one was placed at risk or suffered any more for it. This was something that Veiere had struggled with, and one of the reasons that he had offered to stand at the head of the Silver Ambassadors, hoping to encourage and further the Order's ability to communicate with the outside Nations, and to represent their Order in a positive light that he hoped the Galaxy might one day see the Jedi in once more.

Alexandra walked along the path that would take her from where the Porte family was staying at Silver Rest to the spot where the Silver Ambassador meeting was to take place. The brunette took in the beauty and serenity of the surroundings through her brandy brown gaze as she grew closer and let it fill her up inside as the last few weeks had been hectic with their recent move to the Mid Rim from the Outer Rim.

The jungle forests and green valleys of Kashyyyk were so different from the tropical paradise of Ceto where they had been living-in-exile ever since the Galactic Alliance's collapse during the Endgame event. Like other Alliance members, Alexandra and [member="Kahne Porte"] had taken refuge with the Outer Rim Coalition. The isolation had served its purpose when Addison and Aiden were babies...

But now that the twins were five and their Force Sensitivity was manifesting itself in more embolden ways, it was time to introduced them to the ways of the Force, more so the Jedi arts, in a structured environment. Hence, the reason Alex and Kahne chose to join and serve the Silver Jedi Order at this time. Plus, an old friend and colleague of her husband's just happened to the chief diplomat for the Order... a calling the former Ambassador of Taanab was interested in getting back into while Kahne put forth his energies and skills helping the Jedi Alliance on the front lines.

The Taanabian was dressed in her dark silver and charcoal-hued robes with a burgundy-colored cloak atop; a single lightsaber hilt hung from her utility belt. Booted heels softly stepped forward as she approached [member="Veiere Arenais"] where the man was waiting for those interested in being a part of the SJO's Diplomatic Corps.

"Greetings, Master Arenais... I am Alexandra Porte. My husband sends his regards," she offered with a respectful bow to the Master Jedi and a small smile to follow.

Advocates of peace huh?

Kahlil had seen it, time and time again. The Jedi choosing violence. The Jedi standing idly by as their 'allies' launched assault after assault against the innocent people of the galaxy the Jedi should be protecting. Who cared if they lived on an enemies world? How many people lived in his Father's territory that would end up being prosecuted as if they were the Sith themselves and bombed in the coming crusades?

Or maybe, the young man was wrong. How could he know? He had only heard the reports, not actually been there.

[member="Veiere Arenais"] had answers. For his own sanity, his own belief, the young man would ask his questions and understand what exactly was going on.

It was a nice summer's day, Rose had agreed to meet with Veiere and some of the other Silver Jedi Order diplomats. She got Kat to take care of Lily and their mother who was starting to look much older due to depression and fatigue. Rose was starting to worry about her but Kat said there was little they could do for now, they just needed to give her mother time. Rose smirked as she stroked her dress, Kat had really stepped up, to think 2 years ago she was flaky and wasn't committed to much bar creating odd things. Now Kat ran a business, taking charge in her Jedi training and being the anchor for Rose and their mother.

It was a proud moment, she just wished Kat would get her personal life sorted. Being alone was never good, Rose had Lily and that was all she needed. Caressing her silver hair, Rose smiled as she stepped out of the house, the weather was so warm. It was a nice change, Echani was generally a lot cooler for most of the year so she was more than happy to enjoy sunny, hot days. Wandering to the meeting spot, she spotted Veiere with two people she did not recognise. A woman and a young man, she smiled to them both politely. "Rose Decoria. Pleasure to meet you both. Greetings Master Veiere."

Master Lucera Maive had begun her journey to the appointed destination long before it had been scheduled to begin. There hadn't been an ounce of haste in her step as the Keshiri ever so slowly strode through the temple and out into the world. Much happened in the galaxy in recent years; the pace at which it unfolded made it difficult to truly follow or to anticipate where help would be needed most. Opportunities like these, where a calm walk was afforded, allowed a Jedi to reflect and contemplate the future. Not only one's personal future, but that of the Order and the galaxy as a whole. A large and intricate puzzle that even her Sight could not see all ends.

She had taken to wearing a dark purple robe today. A white cloak with purple trim rested upon her shoulders, the brighter material helping to distract from the glow of her eyes. It lifted in a gentle breeze that passed by every so often. The Keshiri drew in a deep breath and released it while a smile on her dark lips. A wonderful day for a walk, she thought.

One or two headed for the same meeting might have passed Lucera as she neared the location. She would have smiled, nodded, and continued at her deliberate pace if they had chosen to continue at their own. Perhaps the Master was just out for a casual stroll, after all, or had opted to visit the falls. Though if she were not intended for this gathering that might make it an uncomfortable moment. That thought only bolstered the smile upon the woman's lips out of mirth.

At last, Lucera arrived with a nod and smile for Master Arenais, an older and wiser Master than herself. The Keshiri had only just become a Master relatively speaking. An honor which had not deadened her to the insight of those more experienced than herself. It was a pleasure to find someone such as himself hosting a gathering of this nature. It bode well, she thought. "Master Arenais. Knight Zambrano." Lucera nodded to her follow Jedi and then looked to Alexandra and Rose. "Ladies, a pleasure to meet you."

Of the group that had gathered [member="Rose Decoria"] was the only officially rostored Silver Ambassador, leaving Veiere to Jairdain and his peers within the Silver Assembly were otherwise preoccupied with the rising number of responsibilities that were required of the upper echelons of the Silver Jedi Order. For those on Kashyyyk with the availability and the interest to delve further into the role, Veiere was happy to discuss and lead today's session.

"Greetings, all of you" he smiled to them all; "Rose, thank you for finding the time to help me in introducing the role of a Silver Ambassador to our peers" he looked to her and nodded firmly in approval before looking to the others. [member="Alexandra Porte"] had been the first to arrive, the wife of [member="Kahne Porte"] to which was of a gracious surprise and welcome opportunity to get to know her further. [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] had become an accomplished Jedi Padawan since his first entrance into the Silver Jedi, he and Veiere having shared time seeking to help rid him of his father's possession, his choice to join them was something of a surprise in itself, though it was encouraging to see his continued reproach from his familial legacy on the other side of the Galaxy. Finally, there was [member="Lucera Maive"], the Order's newest Master in the ranks whom had also vested interest in their pocket of the Order.

"I'm quite pleased to so many new faces" Veiere chuckled softly, "I'd expected this session would be a bit of a bore for all my regulars, however it's nice to still see there's a yearning out there for some to take up a role of political representation in the Order today. No doubt you're all familiar with atleast a couple of world's within the reach of the Silver Jedi, those we protect and act as stewards over. The Order's initial contact is made through the Silver Ambassadors under direct guidance from the Silver Assembly" he spoke with enthusiasm, the potential strengthening of ties and communication, never a bad thing in his perspective.

"To begin today, however, why don't we all introduce ourselves" Veiere grinned and turned to look to Rose Decoria, "Starting with you and going around. Explain what interests you most about the Representatives of the Silver Jedi and why you've chosen you join us, or are otherwise seeking to become a member here today".

Nodding her head, Rose was happy to work with new people interested in joining the ambassadors. It was good to have more people interested and she was interested to see it was more Jedi, she was hoping to meet a non-Force User like herself in the ambassadors, someone who could relate to her. But she was part of a Jedi Order so it wasn't much of a surprise most of the ambassadors were Jedi and such. Looking to Veiere, she listened to him talk about what the ambassadors meant and what their goals were.

Looking to the others, Rose was surprised that she was asked first. However, it did make sense since it would help make the others feel more at ease hearing from an actual member of ambassadors but she was slightly nervous. "I joined the Silver Ambassadors because I wanted to help the SJO in the best way I can. I was a member of government on Eshan with my late husband. So, I understand politics and negotiation talks well." Rose smiled to the others, seeing who would be next.

Hope is the elixir of life. (semi-retired)
Alexandra was standing next to [member="Rose Decoria"] so she decided to go next if they were to follow the circle of people gathered for ease. The Eshani had a serene and regal affect. It was evident the woman had been a diplomat before.

The tall brunette clasped her hands loosely inside the sleeves of her Jedi robes, then began her own introduction.

"Thank you, Master Arenais. It is indeed a pleasure to be here," she nodded graciously to [member="Veiere Arenais"], then her brandy brown orbs looked to not only Rose adjacent, but to [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] and [member="Lucera Maive"] as well across the way. "...and in such astute company."

Alex didn't quite see herself in the same light as the other Jedi present being that she had only recently begun training in the Jedi arts under her husband's sage tutelage. The Taanabian rather saw herself as she was before finding out she was Force Sensitive. Though now, she would have more enhanced abilities to help her along in endeavors chosen going forward.

"I too, like Ambassador Decoria, would very much like to help the Silver Jedi Order, and I believe serving with the Silver Ambassadors would be the best way I could contribute. I bring to the table considerable knowledge of military practices as I am a retired Flight Commander of the Galactic Alliance Navy, and diplomatic skills from my tenure as the Ambassador of Taanab, my homeworld. I look forward to working with each one of you to hopefully find peaceful resolutions and initiatives during these unfortunately dire times should I be accepted as a diplomatic representative for the SJO," she offered with a small smile.

"The drums of war have sounded all over the galaxy. I'm here to prove to myself how wrong I am in assuming that the Silver Jedi have fallen in line with groups such as the CIS trying to bring an endless war rather then find the route to peace. I'm not here because I think the Silver Ambassadors are bringing peace to the galaxy through nonviolent means, but because I fear they're nothing but a shell spinning stories while the truth remains shrouded in darkness."

Well, it was better to be truthful. While the group so far seemed forthcoming, how could he not doubt them? Umbara almost ended with the Silver military bombing hundreds of innocents to kill a few false UCM soldiers, and even then the Jedi hadn't truly investigated the event and went par the course to name the UCM an enemy. Nothing was black and white, and it was the Jedi's duty to cut through it all to find the path to peace.

How likely would it be that he'd be allowed to stay after saying that, he wondered. His gaze traveled to them, mostly to gauge how [member="Veiere Arenais"] of all of them would react. Would they kick him out?

[member="Alexandra Porte"] [member="Rose Decoria"] [member="Lucera Maive"]

The Keshiri nodded with the young Knight's words. "Such is the destiny of the Order, if we do nothing. Our philosophical rivals engage in battle routinely, and so it becomes familiar to counter them on the field of battle. If we spend all our effort combating such people, however, we will have no time to protect and uplift those in need."

She paused to smile and look over at Kahil. "People like yourself will help us reach the countless worlds of the galaxy. Together we will strive to bring the peace all seek." Though even the path of peace was turbulent and full of peril. Echoes of potential futures faded in and out from her sight. Unfortunately there were too many consumed by their passions to say their efforts would settle all wars in the near future -- or perhaps in their lifetime. But it was not the destination, but the path they walked that brought them here today.

"I am Master Lucera Maive. Previously I was a Sentinel that sought to defend the worlds with my saber if necessary. Over the past few years, however, I have studied with Consulars and the path of understanding the world around us as well as the Force." She looked at each present with a smile on her dark, purple lips. "I was stirred when I heard Master Arenais sought to promote peace through diplomacy. We should strive to avoid violence wherever possible, as it ultimately serves to injure all parties in the end."

Her eyebrows rose slightly. "Oh," Lucera's eyes fell slightly, "and please do not be alarmed if I appear to speak to myself. Since an incident off world I often seen presences in the Force others do not." It was something of an embarrassing topic to bring up, but the group was already drawing a few spirits. At least, Lucera deduced they were spirits given the manner of their approach and the lack of acknowledgement by others present. She might need to respond to these spirits, and did not wish to alarm the rest present.

[member="Rose Decoria"] and [member="Alexandra Porte"] both spoke of working to benefit the Silver Jedi, and through diplomacy and the meeting with other peoples and sharing of their ideologies, such things were certainly within their reach. Rose herself had voiced her home-world to be Eshan, to which Veiere offered a small smile and a nod of acknowledgement, ignoring the knowledge in the back of his mind around the world's recent troubles. Shortly there after, Alexandra mentioned the Galactic Alliance and herself to have been a former flight commander, someone who'd obviously experienced the results of failed diplomacy. Her experiences, though likely terrible, held added personal incentive to do well here.

Next, came [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] and his words bordering on aggressive, if not judgmental. Veiere was familiar with this one, and the history that he had shared with the Jedi Master upon his arrival to Kashyyyk. Kahlil spoke with his passion, and to an extent he was not wrong, the Silver Jedi were having to come to terms with it's inevitable intervention of the Clans of Mandalor. However, they'd tried to stay their hands through not one but the attack against three world's, H'ratth being the final attack and the second against their own, that had uplifted the Silver Order out of it's previously pacifistic stance. Unfortunately, for those not present to the meetings of the Assembly, it was easy to assume the worst.

[member="Lucera Maive"] soon spoke her thoughts, a fellow Master and someone who conveyed their own wisdom and experience upon their words. Veiere was quietly relieved to have her speak, as he wished not to have this session derailed by the recent political events surrounding the Clans. "The timing is unfortunate, and the Ambassadors are a recently revitalized endeavor under the Silver Order, with my hope that we can certainly benefit not just the Jedi but others out there who share the Galaxy with us, too" Veiere smiled to the group before looking to Kahlil in want to answer his concerns, "Having to commit to War is not a decision made lightly, nor anyone's desire within the Silver Jedi. Many sections of the Jedi all over the Galaxy have, at one stage or another, been forced to enter into combat in order to counter the more aggressive and oppressive forces out there, where other innocent lives are at stake. Unfortunately, we're seeing the results of failed diplomacy today, and rest assured, no one's happy about it".

"As Ambassadors, our role comes before these times. To meet and discuss possible solutions before the political stage becomes so unbalanced that we're forced to find ourselves in days like today, where it's clear that the time for talking is at an end. For generations, Jedi have struggled with the weight of war, and the fighting seems to go on..." His attention was shared now between the group before him; "As Ambassadors, we need to prepare ourselves for the inevitable times where others will disagree with us. We will never be successful in all of our missions, for we do not force the free-will of others, but we must do all that we can to ensure we've done our best to discourage any potential fallout, to quieten any whispers of war the likes that, as Kahlil has raised, appear to be on the horizon today".

"Had we no respect for the Force and for the Ideologies of our predecessors, of our path, perhaps we'd be more inclined to resort to mental abilities and practices of persuasion" Veiere added upon a spoken thought, looking about the lot of them; "But we know this to be wrong, we don't force others to make their choices. Our greatest tool in our role is our ability to speak and to reason with others, our charisma and intellect". Alas, not everyone agreed with the Jedi, and the Order of the Silver Jedi were little different in that fact. It was a sad truth in life that one could not hope to please all, but for the Order, taking on the bias of a few in order to serve the greater good was part of the burden they carried, so that others shouldn't have to.

"Diplomacy only fails when you give up on trying. I have met Mand'alor. She is willing to discuss and speak with the Silvers to find a peaceful solution. Why is it, I just a padawan, am the first to reach out to her like this? Why are you so quick to dismiss this path of peace for the sake of war?" Was he passionate? Yes. Kahlil was. Perhaps it was left over from his time as a Sith, his words filling with his emotion.

But was it so wrong to be passionate about seeking peace? He hadn't come here to battle words, but here was [member="Veiere Arenais"] , smiling about going to war. How could it not upset the young Jedi? "I was there at Umbara. Those Mandalorians weren't even from the UCM! But have you even looked into that? Have you even looked into the commander that was willing to bomb hundreds of innocent people held hostage by those fakers just to kill said fakers? You talk of peace, but all I see is war!" That did it, he raised his voice. Kahlil cleared his throat and lowered his eyes.

He should be calm.

"I.. Didn't mean to shout. I just.. I have seen so much war. And there is still a chance for peace, but it's been cast aside. If the Jedi cast aside the chance for peace, how can we expect anyone else to?" He felt small. So small. An outsider among an order he had chosen to dedicate his life to.

Veiere inhaled slowly, listening to the words coming from [member="Kahlil Zambrano"], yet restraining the frustration for the younger man's behavior, keeping it buried and refusing to allow his response to be emotionally fueled, as Kahlil's clearly had been. "I'm aware of the questionable aspects of the attack against Umbara, Kahlil. My son was there on the surface at the time, as was a close friend whom also has familial ties to the United Clans of Mandalore. I too am tied to Yasha Cadera through my wife's affiliation to Clan Raxis, so I'm rather aware of the weight of the situation regarding the current tensions between our two peoples", tension that the Jedi Master had been feeling on a much more personal level with his family split in half, separated by their differing loyalties, and dedication to duty.

"A representative of the United Clans appeared during the attack against Umbara, claiming that it was a false act to breed descent towards [member="Yasha Cadera"]" Veiere explained, these were facts, not based upon any one person's perspective; "However, we could not take them simply by their word with the severity of damage dealt to the surface, as well as the lives that were lost that day. We needed time to investigate, yet the attack against H'ratth from the Mandalorians under the United Clans soon followed. This, after what occurred on Eshan, required us to take some form of action in order to discourage any further acts of terrorism".

"Thus far the Assembly has heard nothing from their leadership" Veiere added, "Be aware that there are also details that I cannot disclose due to my position, and the hierarchy here which is in place for security purposes, as well as continued acting procedure long since before my time with the Silver Jedi...-We have representatives in place whom speak for the Order of the Silver Jedi, and certainly someone you should have reported such an incident too, as soon as possible, rather than bringing this up, in argument and such an open environment".

"I realize that it is easy to judge from the outside without knowing the details, discussions and actions of the Assembly; But as I've told you, we do not take this ordeal lightly, yet criminal or terrorist acts against others must have consequences if we are to remind the Galaxy of the need for law and order".

Rose smiled to Alexandra and Lucera, they both had interesting ideas but Kahlil was getting upset with the Assembly's choice to attack the united clans of Mandalore. It was a direction that Rose was surprised with, she had believed Jedi were passive people who were not ones to fight. However, she thought it was the right move, since the decision to attack them, Rose read up on the UCM and their interactions with the SJO, she thought it was surprising how long the SJO waited before retaliating against the UCM. Rose listened to Veiere and nodded her head as she let him talk to Kahlil first but she still had things that she wanted to say.

"I was on Eshan when the UCM invaded, they slaughtered my people, the CIS saved us from their ruthlessness. I think working the CIS is a good thing that strengthens us and them. The UCM also have constantly attacked us, we have tried to broker peace before and then the UCM throw it in our face and have attacked us. Peace is not a thing Mandalorians seem to understand. Even if we talked with their leader, how do we know that she will keep her word this time around? How do we know that they won't take this peace offering and attack us when our back is turned? Only way for peace is to stop the UCM or they must have a new leader that we can trust." Rose crossed her arms as she looked to Kahlil.

[member="Veiere Arenais"] [member="Alexandra Porte"] [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] [member="Lucera Maive"]

"You cannot disclose details? The Jedi are hiding facts of war from their own now?" A look of disbelief took over the young mans expression. What ever anger he had felt over this was quickly replaced by disappointment. Kahlil glanced away from [member="Veiere Arenais"] , unable to look the man in the eye anymore. How could someone who had helped this young Sith expel his darkness so willingly turn to war?

"Peace dies, when the people who are suppose to seek it give up. You've heard nothing, because you've closed your ears. Justify your wars, in what ever way you must. I will search for the path to peace, and follow my own way to be a Jedi." His gaze drifted to [member="Rose Decoria"] , a frown forming on the tall man's face. "Bring those who deserve justice to it. But war brings everyone, innocent or not, into the crossfire. That is not a path I will support."

Veiere sighed under his breath, realizing the discussion wasn't to reach an accord with the younger man so insistent on looking for someone to blame for the state of affairs the Order of the Silver Jedi were facing today. [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] had taken Veiere's apprehension and respect for procedure as though he were hiding behind it, yet every organization that belonged or considered themselves Jedi had a certain structure of rank and responsibility that fell in line with a certain position of authority or importance. Being on the Assembly, there were going to be some issues, some matters too sensitive to raise before the Padawan of the Order, and some discussions were better kept to private talks with those of a higher rank or role in order to avoid discouraging their peers or causing any sense of concern where it might otherwise be avoided. Alas, Veiere had to resign himself to the fact that in this moment, there seemed to be no appearing the Padawan's frustration.

"No one is happy about going into war, Kahlil" Veiere replied, acknowledging his feelings on the matter despite their difference of opinions; "It's a difficult subject and a harsh reality that we're facing at the moment, however, even in times where you find yourself in such strong disagreement, your emotions can affect your behavior and judgement. You have a right to feel as you do, but take care in how you treat those around you when you seek to express these feelings" Veiere urged the young man before looking to the rest of his peers. [member="Rose Decoria"], [member="Lucera Maive"] and [member="Alexandra Porte"]; "I am not holding anyone here against their will. If any of you are struggling with the times we find ourselves in, I am approachable in private...-However today's discussion has been a heavy one, and during these sorts of talks, there is rarely a 'right answer'. The Silver Jedi do not seek to encourage violence, nor do we resort to such measures without being forced to confront these greater threats". Like it or not, the Silver Jedi Order were responding to acts of aggression, having to bring the United Clans of Mandalor to heel for their actions. It had not been the Jedi who had started the series of conflicts, nor had they jumped into action until not two, but three attacks against world's unprovoked. Those among him were right to feel reluctant about the prospect of fighting, as these things were never good, yet an unfortunate necessity and part of the responsibility that came with being a Jedi and a steward to the innocent and vulnerable.

"Should any of you wish for a break, we can bring this session to an early end?" Veiere soon offered in open question to the group of them. He didn't expect Kahlil would wish to remain much longer, nor be able to proceed with the planned lesson without there being further disruption due to the on-going situation developing close to their northern border. As discouraging as it good be, there were certain lessons that often didn't go according to a tutor's hopes and this appeared to be one of them. However Veiere would remain for those whom wished to stay. It was a known fact of life that there would always be those who would differ in their thoughts and feelings, it was not something to be personally taken, however with the manner of which their discussion had fallen, it seemed wiser to give his peers a way out should they be feeling uncomfortable at all. Veiere would also need to speak to his peers within the Silver Assembly, to discuss the incident, as well as the claims that had been raised.

Lucera's gaze had shifted off to the side as Veiere and Kahlil verbally sparred. The crash of the waterfall nearby washed away the sea of emotion and doubt. It would not do for it to build in one place for long, she thought.

"We should seek peace with all that will listen," she replied at last. "However," the luminescent eyes of the Keshiri Master turned toward Kahlil, "we must be mindful that not everything is always it is appears." She smiled for a moment. "Know that any peace worth achieving takes time, Kahlil, but we must also not tarry in its pursuit."

Anyone present could tell the man was passionate about securing peace with the Mandalorians. Truthfully, if they could secure such peace for the benefit of all then Lucera herself would be relieved. Perhaps there would then be an avenue to approach the Sith Empire itself -- as lofty a goal that would be to come to terms. For war did make victims of them all; and most wounds could not be seen by the naked eye, nor truly appreciated in their scope until time had passed.

She listened patiently as Veiere then addressed the crowd offering a break after the...heated exchange. In the breath before the collective response, Lucera's eyes shifted to the side for a moment. Her voice was soft as though not wanting to interrupt anyone seeking to speak, "Thank you, Senator, but now is not the appropriate time."

At last, the purple woman speak her peace, "I would like to stay awhile longer, Master. I am curious about the future plans for your initiative, but I understand if a break is in order."

Hope is the elixir of life. (semi-retired)
An internal sigh was let out as the initial meeting of the Silver Ambassadors took on an unforeseen dimension. The Jedi Knight's rather impassioned conversation with Master Arenais had been unfortunate in the Taanabian's eyes yet enlightening at the same time.

Alexandra knew that there were many caveats when dealing with other factions diplomatically, some of which not all were privy to. Perhaps the frustration the young man was feeling and projecting was that he did not have the full picture... or it could be as simple as his mind was already made up the SJO was in the wrong. He seemingly had back-channeled and without consent from the Silver Assembly, but without conveying that important information until now things had gotten heated.

Whatever the thought or meaning behind the ill-timed outburst from a certain point of view, a pause to recalibrate the meeting was indeed in order.

Her attention was then pulled towards the purple-hued woman as she heard her speak softly. Was Master Maive talking to herself like she said she might?

"Yes, a small break might be beneficial at this point, if only to catch our breath, hmm?" Alex nodded subtly in agreement to the suggestion made, then added. "I would though like to stay as well to hear and/or discuss any plans going forward for the Silver Ambassadors," the brunette said with an encouraging smile.
