We all wear masks....
Name: Adril Tythorin
Loyalties: Formerly herself, the Jedi Order (when it suited), [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"].
Role: Adril was once a powerful Jedi and later Rogue force user. She was also the trainer of Siobhan Kerrigan.
Development Threads: N/A
Age: 91 at time of death.
Species: Eldorai
Force-Sensitive: Very, specialising in fire.
Appearance: Adril was slightly above average height, with dark hair, blue eyes and relatively tanned skin (for an Eldorai). Her face was marked by scars and one of her ears had a notch cut in it.
Personality: Adril was as tempestuous as the fire she wielded, capable of tremendous rages and equally tremendous sulks. Adril, ironically perhaps, ended up embodying the very Eldorai ideals she claimed to hate. She was virulently sexist, quite arrogant and haughty to non-Eldorai.
However, once she became closer to Siobhan Kerrigan she revealed an insecure, dependent side. Perhaps in those days they suited each other well.
Weapon of Choice: Although she used an orange bladed lightsabre, Adril’s main weapon was the Force. She was capable of summoning flames or heat and tearing her enemies apart with combinations of telekinesis and fire. She disdained ranged weapons, or the weapons of her people as crude and primitive.
Wealth: Extremely low. Though in the last years of her life she went rogue and acquired some wealth through plunder, for much of her life she was poor, a slave, a Jedi and an exile.
Combat Function: Adril assumed a mix of caster and DPS roles in combat, to use game parlance. Working with Siobhan, she would unleash blasts of fiery doom before charging in, using her agility and skill with a lightsabre (form V) to defeat her opponents. This form was aggressive, and made use of her natural agility and the Force to defeat opponents. Adril was not especially tough, but she was extremely stubborn and determined when fighting.
Skills:
  • Superior pyromancy skills.
  • Superb dexterity and agility using the Force.
  • Superior lightsabre skills (Form V)
  • Being a wet hen.
Notable Possessions: Siobhan Kerrigan’s heart (for a while). Ancient talisman of her noble foremothers.
Other Notes:
(Things are a little timey-wimey due to board and time period changes)
Adril Tythorin was born into a lower class family on Kaeshana in the last years before the breaking of the veil which told the Eldorai they were the only sentient race in the galaxy. Indeed, Adril was an unwilling participant in this breakdown.
Being born in the rural south-western settler colonies placed to watch over the Kar’zun reservations, Adril grew up poor. Her parents loved her, and she had a relatively uneventful childhood. As she had only one sibling, a brother, her parents concealed her Sciiac (Force) abilities from the Angelii agents so she could inherit the property and continue to help out.
However, as she just became an adult, raiders from the sky came. These pirates and slavers, feeding on the disorder in the galaxy caused by the 400 Year Darkness, targeted vulnerable worlds ruthlessly.
Adril’s settlement was attacked, her parents and brother killed and she was hauled off into slavery. Decency and good taste precludes mention of what happened in the following several years, but it could be described euphemistically as ‘unpleasant’.
Finally, unable to take any more, after a particularly ‘unpleasant’ encounter with her owner she unwittingly unleashed her powers, killing her Master and his cronies.
Stowing away, Adril was taken in by a Jedi named Lira Dasann who began to train her in the ways of the Force. Adril was a quick learner, though bucked under the rules and organisation of the Jedi Order. It was this stubbornness and aggression which kept her from being knighted for a full ten years. However, after her Master was killed by a Sith she avenged her loss and was rewarded with promotion.
Adril’s career as a Jedi Knight need not detain us at length, but suffice to say she became more and more radical, virtually becoming a rogue in the days before it was cool and trendy.
Into this mix she rescued a young woman named Siobhan Kerrigan from Nar Shaddaa and made her a Padawan. Her training was rather unorthodox though, and became less about the Jedi and more about making Siobhan an apprentice in her own personal mould.
For a detailed investigation of her career with Siobhan, check out the latter’s bio.
After many adventures, many heartbreaks and quite a lot of radical feminism, Adril and Siobhan met for a final time on Manaan. There they enjoyed a last happy time together before a bunch of cultists raised Cthulhu from the depths of the ocean. Adril, showing she had courage even in the face of certain death, sacrificed herself to destroy the beast.

Adril Tythorin was not perfect by any means. She could be self-centred, narcissistic, insecure and arrogant. But she was also brave, principled and just. Perhaps her greatest legacy was her former Padawan/Apprentice [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

It is unknown whether Adril found rest in the Eldorai paradise, but perhaps it is about to be revealed.

Just a simple question. Does this talisman that she possessed hold any unique qualities or powers, or was it just a decorative and symbolic trinket?

Utterly mundane, and possibly even faked. Adril liked to think that her family were not always dirt farmers...but they probably weren't ever related to royalty in the way she thinks.
