Action parents on a mission

Silver Jedi Temple, 0400 hours

Nefertari downed a cup of stim tea, making some final calculations. Yesterday, she and [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] had been assigned to an important mission. There had been rumors of a crime ring kidnapping children, and the rumors had been confirmed when a number of younglings were taken from the temple. To make matters worse, Jason and Articus were among those missing.

When she'd triangulated a few likely locations, Nef downloaded them to the ship's computer. All that was left was for Josh to show up. What remained to be seen was who was behind it.
Nef waited for Josh, trying her best to not worry about how her child was doing...it was hard.

Needless to say, he was far from happy.

Josh and Nef had been assigned a mission, but Josh had been too preoccupied and had originally put it off. He'd left Jason with Shmi at the ship during a routine visit to the temple on Voss, but Jason had suddenly gone missing and Josh had refused to leave Voss until his son was found. Security footage revealed that Jason had been taken by the same people that this mission was based around, the moment Shmi had turned her back, and Josh? Well...

Josh arrived not long after Nef, his expression? It was cold as ice. It was a large contrast from the warm and friendly man that was Nefertari's brother-in-law. All he could think about was Jason. And if he was safe...

"Let's not tarry. Let's find them and get our children back, please."

His words were as cold as his expression... He wanted to be off this planet and on the same one where he could find his son here and now.

Josh was right. The sooner they got underway, the better.
"Agreed."
With nothing more that needed to be seen or done here, Nef blasted out of the hangar and jumped to maximum warp when they'd cleared the atmosphere.
"I did a little research on our little predicament. Apparently, younglings have been being abducted largely from the mid and outer rim. I have them tracked as far as Tatooine. That is our most likely target."

Josh would nod his head as he would listen to Nef give a briefing on where it was assumed they were. "Then we go to Tatooine" He would respond as he would stare out at empty space... Not even seeming phased by the pass into hyperspace. All he could think about was Jason... His little Jason. He was only a year and a half old and those bastards had taken him! He was a timid little guy too... He was probably so scared, he'd never been away from his parents in a way such as this before, and he couldn't imagine just what he was going through right now...

And then he felt a sense of a dread as the thought they might have hurt him crossed his mind.

His eyes widened a moment, his pupils shrinking... And then his eyelids slowly closing half-way, his eyes becoming steely and cold as he stared out, his hands balling into fists and shaking uncontrollably...

He looked far from the man Nefertari knew.

Nef set down on the outskirts of Mos Espa. The thought that they might have hurt Articus crossed her mind, and God help them if they had. This version of Josh was very strange, so she hoped they found their children soon.
"We should move fast."
Mos Espa was known for slavery, and children were no exception.
"Chuba! Jedi!"
Nef turned to face whoever was approaching. She hadn't spoken Huttese in a while...
"Man-tah. What do you want?"
"I bring a message from his excellency Urro the Hutt to any capable beings. He offers a reward to anyone who brings his child back to him."
"Looks as though the hutts are not our culprits after all. can you tell me any more about his excellency's child?"
"She was supposed to go to Voss a few days ago. You see, she's force-sensitive. That probably doesn't help much, but good luck."

Nef moved onward as the messenger left; Josh behind her, clearly worried sick.
"So the known targets so far have all been force-sensitive younglings. That narrows it down."

They had set down on Mos Espa, on a planet that Josh was very much familiar with. Years and years ago, he had lived here after becoming an amnesiac due to Sith torture and experimentation and had lost the use of the Force for a time. Living here had been an ordeal that he wished he could forget... Either way, he was here for Jason, but as he did not know how to speak Huttese, he did not speak to the ones who approached, allowing for Nef to do so.

But the idea that Jason had been taken as a slave caused emotions to stir that he knew were bad for a Jedi to have... And yet he could not suppress them. For the first time, he was not in control of them... Not at all. None of his Jedi training had prepared him for this. Being a father was a completely different animal from anything he had been trained against. When Nef would say that it'd been narrowed down, he nodded his head, though didn't seem to be anymore happy about it.

"And yet, we still have no leads."

He tried to take a deep breathe to calm himself, but no matter how many he tried, none seemed to do the trick...

"You must trust that the force will bring you together again." Nef whispered to herself, repeating what her master had said when she and Articus had gone to Ilum with the Silvers.
Josh was right, they had no leads.
"Indeed. Still, there has to be something to point us in the right direction."
Nef looked around before turning back to her companion
"You know I will do anything to get our younglings back. Any ideas where we might pick up a lead?"

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

"I'm not sure" He would admit, finding himself growing irritated by the moment. Yes, he knew he should be more calm about this... But the fact he wasn't flipping out right now was a miracle. The fact was... This wasn't just some mission. His little baby boy was in danger, and he didn't know where he was or what was happening to him... Inside he was an absolute mess...

And after what had happened two years ago, he didn't have the same amount of patience, or the same amount of stoic, cold lack of emotion that a Jedi was supposed to. Was he even a full Jedi anymore? He was more Grey now...

But then again...

Most of the Silvers were.

"We should contact headquarters... If Jason and Art were taken from there, cameras might be able to tell us where the ship the people who took them were heading toward. That might give us a lead" He would suggest.

He would follow until the ends of the universe... He would not rest on this mission until Jason was found. It didn't matter if he was called back, even if it had been a week. He was not leaving this mission until he had Jason back.
