Welcome to the academy, students.
Overview:
The Sith Covenant has sent out the call, and hundreds of prospective students answered. The Desevro Academy prepares for its inaugural semester. Located in the temple ruins that hosted the first conclave that formed the Covenant, the academy is slowly expanding to occupy the sealed tombs and interconnected tunnels beneath Desevro.
Students
Acolytes are sorted into the Martial Path, which focuses on dueling, combat and practical usage of the Force, or the Esoteric Path, concerned with alchemy, science, and the exploration of hidden or obscure techniques. First-year students are subject to a range of general classes as well as trials administered by their instructors, and will gradually specialise as their studies advance. Those who excel at the academy are afforded the chance to become Apprenticed under a Sith Lord. Those who fail to impress are either removed from the program or continue their studies as acolytes.
Staff
The school is led by a Headmaster and a selection of professors in charge of their specialist subjects. The student body has its own leadership, with a Guild of Students that oversee campus life, from accommodation to clubs to events, occasionally acting as intermediaries for the Headmaster and faculty. Ranking Covenant Sith also hold a great deal of influence over the Academy, and are often involved in the running of trials and competitions.
Academy Life
The academy revolves around fierce competition, be it in combat, theory or social life. For new students on campus, there is only one rule worth remembering: eat or be eaten. Battlelines are drawn across the campus. Influential students enact coups and attacks to trade power and territory. Meddling Sith Lords pick favourites and arrange accidents. Sparring sessions are taken too far, students disappear from their beds. Death lurks in every hallway, danger on every landing. But, for those students with the wherewithal to survive it, the Academy teaches unrivalled strength, unparalleled mastery of the Force, and stokes unbridled ambition in its graduates.
