This is an interest check. I know we already have numerous Jedi minors and one larger Jedi Order in the form of The High Republic Major, but…

Is anyone interested in growing a faction from minor, similar to the way The Jedi Academy Trilogy and New Jedi Order Book Series grew Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Order? I’m not saying to copy those books. You can go out and read those books anytime, or not! I’m just wondering if folks like the feel and aesthetic of that era of Star Wars Jedi and if folks would be interested in telling stories like that. I guess emulate that spirit in our own Chaos way. And to be clear reading those books are not a prerequisite. I’m not asking anyone to read 10+ books lol

Let me know what ya’ think! I’d be down to brainstorm and collaborate, and put some work into making more fun things for folks to be a part of.

What would be the hook for this new Jedi group? I have in the past avoided the big Jedi groups, but have several Jedi characters that exist on the fringes. I would like for them to belong to a bigger group, but I have found that most of the minor Jedi factions are just small groups that find a part of the galaxy to do their thing with little difference between themselves and the "main" Jedi of the time. These groups tend to peter out in short time.

In order for something like this to survive long term I think that it would need some "new" view on what it means to be a Jedi.

That is a great question and a great point. I don’t know that I have an answer for you at this exact moment. That said, I am interested in what you would like to see from a new and/or lasting Jedi group?

Like I mentioned above I’m just trying to gauge interest and see if folks would like another Jedi option. One in which they could contribute and collaborate and grow and guide the direction of. It’s fun to walk into a pre-established organization or setting but it’s also really fun to be a part of the birth and growth of one too.

So if you or anyone is interested, let me know what you think you’d like to see from a new and/or lasting Jedi group and let’s collaborate to make something fun.

I have some basic unfinished ideas based on some of my wayseeker Jedi that I have created over the years. I would love to be part of a think tank to create a new niche group of Jedi. I personally would not be in favor of a militant Jedi wing. Anything else that isn't just let's set up a new enclave on planet X and hope everyone sticks around for a while would be a very fun discussion.
