Strengths:
-Easy to Hide: The blade was created together with a electromagnetic clasp to mount it on, which can be glued to a gauntlet . The magnet is made so that it deactivated if the blade is pulled with enough strength, until the blade is placed on it again.
-Sonic Emitter: Inside the blade is a sonic emitter, taken from a standard sonic gun. Linked to two buttons on the blade it has to different functions: The first one is a concentrated sonic blast, release through the blade. It is less effective than a shoot from a actual sonic pistol, but it passes through lightsabers almost unblocked, and is able to leaf painful bruises on impact, in a range of up to 10 meters. The second one is the release of a extremely high pitched sound from the blade, which can stun anyone in a range of 2 meters.
Weaknesses:
-Self Stun: The second varation of the sonic blast has no failsafe to keep the wielder of the blade shielded from it. It reduces the attack to a last line of defense that is only useful if everything else fails.
-Complex: Compared to most lightsaber this one is outfitted with a number of gadgets, that while useful also make the weapon more complex and therefore harder to repair and easier to affect by emp and similar things.
-Slow Reload: It takes the blade a minute, before it can fire another sonic blast.
Description: Some people believe that is important to always have an ace up the sleeve, Abyss on the other hand prefers to have two in each of sleeves and another one in his boot. The saber is made in spirit of this fighting philosophy, a hidden back up weapon in case he is unable to use his actual lightsaber, and yet it is not a simple weapon, but one outfitted with another trick weapon hidden in the trick weapon.Sonic weapons have been a standard got hunting lightsaber wielding enemies for a long time in the galaxy's history, so it was a obvious choice of gadget for Abyss second blade. As last line of defense, in a high emergency situation, the blade can emitter a high pitched noise, designed to stun and confuse anyone close to the weapon. The normal blast is less self destructive, but comes with a long reload speed, and short range compared to an actual ranged weapon, making it more effective for a suprise attack instead of an actual alternative to a gun.
