Intent: To develop a heavy/standard warship for the new Imperial Remnant
Development Thread: N/A
Who can use it: The Imperial Remnant
Description: An Imperial design pushed through the shipyards on Crina, the Absolution class Star Destroyer, while not a destroyer class, is nonetheless an impressive Imperial warship. Developed as a heavy cruiser, it is definitely the most powerful Imperial ship to date, though with plans on the horizon to expand the shipyards with Imperial funding to push for true destroyer craft it could likely become obsolete in design in a short period of time. At least if minor tweaks had not been made to its design.

While Crinan Engineers argued their own heavy cruiser destroyer analog is a superior design, the Imperials of the same art would beg to differ. For while the Crinan craft is larger and arguably more versatile with its larger hanger and weapon classifications, it does have fewer long range weapons and less heavy modifiers to them. In addition the Imperials cannot just idly watch the Crinan craft replace their own in the naval deployment.

As such the Absolution class was developed and put to production as a long range siege vessel, with a powerful array of long range turbolaser cannons, backed with heavy cannons for close ranged exchanges as well. However, the ship is just as slow as the Crinan designed craft due to its thicker hull and emphasis on directing power towards it long ranged equipment. In addition it has very little warhead weaponry and hanger space of which to speak of, leaving most of its defenses in its ability to defeat enemy Capital ships from a distance and deal with enemy starfighters with flak cannons for the most part.

I don't like the new template's layout, its very confusing for me to read it in that order. I prefer the description to come before the statistics and that's the only difference. it also doesn't make sense to have the intent and who it belongs to be so far away from affiliation. In addition I've seen plenty of submissions sent in with altered templates both before the rework and after for better visual appeal without complaint.

I'd like to ask my submission be judged on content, which it fulfills to the new templates standards. I haven't left out any areas. Note the old template did not have strengths, weaknesses, or separate speed and maneuverability. I have sent information in in this format for everything else since the new template has been out and this is the first I've been bothered over it. I've not had any problems with other judges who've looked over my submissions.

[member="Alva Calvarona"] I wish the standard loadouts went Assault, Balance, Support. I just spent the last five minutes trying to work out what you'd traded to go over the max!

Looks good
