While the lightsaber itself is fairly basic, with some very minor Alchemy preformed on the hilt of the blade to grant it the ability to survive light strikes and glancing blows from enemy lightsabers. The agrinium casing provides light Ion/EMP resistance and the aurodium and electrum inlay are aesthetically pleasing and valuable. It features a Bifurcating Cyclical Ignition allowing the blade to be sustained underwater or in other aquatic environments, Dual Phase Settings allowing the blade to double in length by twisting the bottom of the hilt, though it takes some effort to do so as not to make the weapon slip between lengths in combat. The only feature of serious note is the thumb activated switch which alters the tuning of the weapon upon activation. This allows the wielder to rapidly switch between being able to block standard blaster bolts and Ion Beamers. Being a strong proponent of Ion Beamers usage, Draco included this as a fail-safe, in the hopes it doesn't come into play.
Like most lightsabers the length of the Blade can be manually adjusted, the presets are however set to one hundred twenty five meters and three hundred meters, though it can be adjusted with some minor tinkering later on, and the presets can be easily altered as the wielder see's fit in the future.
The special part of the lightsaber comes from the very unique crystal, hand made for the weapon. Based on a Krayt Dragon Pearl, the pearl has been fused with a royal blue colored mephite crystal. This provides a calming effect for the wielder, allowing them to focus better in combat, as well making it easier for the user to concentrate and center themselves. Finally the crystal has been heavily attuned to Abigail Kallisto and Draco Vereen. While the weapon is in her possession it strengthens the Force Bond between the two, possibly allowing Draco to sense her mood or whether she is in danger from extreme distances and vice versa with concentration and focus.
