- All Standard Features
- Neural Link: The Abhartach-class Y-Wing comes equipped with a cybernetic neural link, able to plug in to specialized sockets located in the back of a pilot's skull. This enables the pilot to more intuitively control the craft as well as get systems and environmental updates directly rather than having to view the monitor leading to greater pilor awareness. The Abhartach-class Y-Wing is able to be operated without this link as a normal starcraft but it was designed with pilot-ship integration in mind.
- Assistant Droid-Brain: The Abhartach-class Y-Wing comes equipped with an advanced droid brain located in the center of the craft. Usually the droid brain is used as a replacement for an astromech, operating in-built self repair systems and anti-slicing technology along with capabilities for auto-pilot and targetting assistance. While the brain is fully capable of operating the craft independently it usually performs worst than a proper pilot. A strange quirk of the droid brains design means that over extended use these brains often develop what pilots call 'personalities'; unique quirks and specialties from where the learning-algorithms specialized during the unique combat encounters of that particular craft. This, along with the brain's ability to communicate with the pilot via the ship's neural link, has led to many pilots building a relationship with their craft and being unwilling to operate another pilot's Abhartach-class Y-Wing.
- Lightspeed Devastation: The Abhartach-class Y-Wing is designed with overwhelming firepower in mind. A wing of these craft can deal devastating damage to capital ships and structures due to the array of explosives and amount of shells available to them.
- Cybernetic Enhancements: The Abhartach-class Y-Wing's neural link allows those with the right cybernetic implants to intuitively operate the craft and do so instinctively, greatly enhancing the capabilities of the craft.
- Autopilot: Without a pilot the Abhartach-class Y-Wing is capable of operating itself due to its droid brain. Usually this is used for simple autopilot while the pilot rests or needs to call the ship to their current location, but it can be utilized in combat.
- Electronic Warfare: Due to how integrated the pilot and vessel are it is possible to kill the pilot through slicing into the ship's systems or overwelming them with data. The inbuilt droid brain is capable of defending itself, especially against other predictable automated systems, but any skilled slicer could defeat it.
- Expensive to Maintain: The many complex systems that the Abhartach-class Y-Wing relies on means it is difficult to maintain away from well equipped hangar bays with skilled engineers knowledgable about its design. Stranded Abhartachs are capable of defending themselves but will usually not survive prolonged campaigns without a carrier to repair and resupply at.
- Weak in a Dog Fight: The Abhartach-class Y-Wing is not designed to compete against most interceptors and are easily taken down by specialized strike craft, especially if they can outmaneuver the Abhartach.
In CAIN Omnicorp's mission to revive iconic designs of long past the Abhartach was fashioned to go along with the Banshee-class X-Wing, the second half of the iconic starfighter duo. With the assumption of an armed escort (specifically a Banshee escort) the Abhartach's purpose has been to rain down devastation on the enemies of whomever buys the craft. Early in its design the aesthetics and name were shifted to match with the convention set by the Banshee, leaving the open market and being dedicated to the Dark Court as a staple in their slowly building navies.
