SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Can "shapeshift" upon the wearer's body.
  • Armor can be stored within compartment upon the body(Cybernetic/prosthesis)
  • Dampened sounds created by wearer.
  • Absorbs photons/Light.
  • Resists most scanner technology.(Excluding Thermal)
  • Resist high amounts of Radiation.
  • Resistant to small arms Ion/Emp Weaponry.
  • Act's and functions as a second skin.
Strengths:
  • Molded Armor: Utilizing the body, and circulatory system of a Polydroxol, as well as Madilon, The armor can be in a "collapsed" state to he held within a small compartment. This procedure takes a few seconds to collapse, as well as to release and to mold to the wearer. Essentially, shifting it's shape between two predetermined "shapes."
Discrete Armor: As the armor can "Shapeshift" to the wearer, it can be stored away easily. Allowing for someone who may not seemed to be prepared or battle, or be unarmored, to secretly be so.
  • Attached at all times: The armor can be used with the connection of the Polydroxol circulatory system to the nervous system of the "host" or wearer. Thusly, the armor is directly connected to the wearer. This prevents mechanical failures, and allows the host not be required to state words, activate a sequence within a technology system, or otherwise. The host simply thinks about the armor suit to cover themselves, and it will do so.
  • Self Repairing: Using the literal flesh, and systems of a polydroxol being within the armor, as well as the natural connection to a living host allows for the damage of the suit to be repaired over time.

[*]Stealth in Mind: Utilizing Reflec, Shadowsilk, and Photoreactive fibers, the armor itself is resistant to most scanners commissioned by galactic military forces. With Reflec, and the photoreactice fibers working in tandem, should the host be in a bright environment, the fibers within the armor will darken. Increasing it's effectiveness in absorbing photon/light sources. This is arguably better in stealth situations to reduce glints from armor, and to allow the wearer to blend much more easily into their background, or surroundings.
[*]Rad-ical: Utilizing Agrinium, in a fiber form, it increases effectiveness in absorbing light sources due to UV radiation, as well as the more harmful radiation types. However, as the metallic substance is not in its true metal plate, or sheet form, it cannot block or defend against said radiation as effectively. Used as fibers, there are holes within the construction of the armor. These holes while only really visible with a microscope, are still large enough to allow some radiation through.
Weaknesses:
  • It's Mighty Morphing Time!: While the armor can move and shape itself over the host, or wearer of the armor, it takes time and energy to do so. The energy is not related to the force, but is reliant on the physical energy and aptitude of the host. Using the same circulatory system as the polydroxol, shifting into new forms or shapes is not instant, and can take precious seconds. It could be the difference between life and death.
  • Healing Suit: As with the armor itself being made in the same function and design of the polydroxol, the armor itself can mend and heal its damages over time. However, there are a couple stipulations that come with it. Conncted to the body of the host, it requires physical energy and exertion to heal, the healing takes quite a bit of time compared to the time that polydroxols were known to be able to perform, and the suit itself does not heal the wearer.
Internal Bleeding: The armor itself, using it shapeshifting sources to be self-repairing, only heals the damages to the armor itself. The suit of armor does not come with any form of biological healing for that of the Host. Thusly, should the host be bleeding from various kinds of wounds, the blood will actually pool up within the suit. As well, if the host has broken bones, or impact injuries, the same also goes. The damages cannot be healed, and the host is left to their devices.
  • Sustenance: Electroglobins are the source of energy required to heal, and repair the armor. This form of a chemical within the circulatory system of the armor is slowly reproduced over time by the host's own body. This requires that the host be eating, and finding their own sustenance much more often, and in larger amounts to keep the suit in top performing condition. It would essentially make the host have an artificial high metabolism.
  • Temporary Exposure: Continued with the self repairing of the suit, living Polydroxols were well known to be able to heal grievous wounds within mere seconds. However, as the system and function of the suit was mashed with other components, tacked onto a Host body that is not of the same origin, and the host themselves have not just their own bodily functions, but the suit's functions to worry about as well, the healing or self repairing of the suit is much slower. A tear in the fabric/fibers of the armor can still take a few seconds, but missing pieces of fabric, larger wounds, or complete removal of some portions can range from minutes, hours, and even days respectively.

[*]Time for a Cold Shower: With various materials used for the absorption of radiation, photons, UV rays, even sound, the suit can get hot. Wearing in dark, night time urban environments is the absolute best case scenario and wouldn't be a problem. However, simply walking around during the day, it would be like wearing black clothing on Tattooine. Now if you were actually on a desert, or a very Light/Radiation intensive planet, It would be one step away from attempted suicide. Rapid fatigue of the host, profussive sweating, Heat Rash around the crooks of the arms, groin, legs, and even neck, Heat Cramping of the muscular system, Heat Exhaustion, Heat stroke, and even second degree sunburns are a very real threat and possibility.
[*]I am not Blind!: The suit has uses to help dampen noises, blending within the surroundings, as well as staying off of scanners. However, this can never replace a keen eye, and sharp ears. While it would require heightened sensory of sounds to hear the host, That is not necessary to physically see the person. It would be difficult to be seen in darker areas, or when attempting to blend in, but not impossible to be seen.
[*]Ahhh But you forgot one: While the suit can prevent most sensor based technology from detecting the host, It cannot prevent thermal, or infrared detection. Due to the absorption of light and radiation, it is actually quite easy to see them with these forms of scanners.
[*]Density-Shifting: While the suit can shift its shape to be housed within a smaller container, compartment, or otherwise housing unit, it cannot change its density. While the weight can be distributed over the body when worn, its harder to carry around depending on how it is being housed. Thus, while it can collapse down for the host, it will only shift it's weight to the containment it is housed within.
[*]Second Skin: The suit can withstand damages in the form of energy, and limited in small arms melee weaponry such as swords, knives, and slashing weapons. However, it lacks severely in the kinetic or piercing damage fields. A small pellet from a slugthrower will hurt, Small caliber rounds can bruise, break bones, and in limited cases pierce through the suit, with anything larger easily able to pierce through. This also extends to physical damage from hammer, blunt weaponry, or if being thrown into a wall, falling from a height, and other like minded injuries.
[*]Limited Armor: The armor has the rare ability to shapeshift, it can mold itself over clothing or at the very most, leather, or very thin underlayers of armor and such. However, this means that the armor cannot be worn on top of, or underneath other forms of armor that are mass produced, or not specifically designed to work in conjunction with this suit.
[*]We Are One: As the suit of armor is connected to Atheus via his nervous system, resistors and the like have been implemented to the suit. This prevents an overload of sensory functions from completely frying Atheus' own natural system. However, there is are couple down sides to this.
  • To the Pain!: As the suit is hooked up to Atheus via the nervous system and neural passages, Any damage that is felt upon the suit, is also translated to Atheus. While this "second skin" is more resilient and restive to damage, it is still painful on many levels.
  • Electrifying!: While the suit does have protections against small arms fire, and weaponry, including EMP, and Ion weaponry, there is a limit to how much this can be defended against. Naturally, precautions were taken to limit the damage done from smaller weaponry such as small arms fire, up to a grenade sized detonation, However anything even remotely larger can severely damage the connection between the suit and Atheus. With the suit being directly connected to the man, there is a chance for him to be greatly stunned, incapacitated, permanent loss of feeling in the body, brain damage, and in the extreme cases, be forced into a coma or brain dead state.

DESCRIPTION
Atheus is a man who enjoys his weapons and armory. As an operative, and a lone wolf kind of person, he tends to work alone, in the shadows, or away from prying eyes. However, when those eyes are upon him, subterfuge is his greatest ally. He has been seen wearing a mask that covers up a large portion of his face, and wearing military fatigues. However, one of his greatest assets is his sword Aurora. A weapon that can be summoned to him through the force, allowing him to be armed at all times, without having the weapon physically on him.

Finding out how to do the same to armor, without requiring use of the force is a nasty task ahead of him. The force can do many things. However, becoming reliant upon the force for not just a prized weapon, but also armor that could keep him alive, is not something on his list of things to do. Not being able to hide the armor within the force, or any kind of void. The next closest thing was collapsing armor. A set of armor that could fold in upon itself or have pieces that would slide across one another from some source. However, that would limit use of the armor. Loud, abrasive, too flashy for use in operations or missions requiring stealth, and the limitation of broken pieces. If any part of that setup was damage, if one single cog in the internals failed, slipped up, or was damage, then the entire thing was useless. Also, the idea of being stuck inside a suit of metal armor as a walking coffin was not a good feeling.

Metal plates were out of the question. Fibers, cloths and leathers. However, leathers were too thick to fold to be any protective. Hardened leather such as Spacers leather was great for jackets, boots, and parts of gloves, but it wouldn't do. Cloths wouldn't provide much protection without various layers upon layers. So Fibers would be the main frame of this suit. Fibers, and armorweaves created from different metals, and textiles to provide the best resistance possible, while still being flexible, and able to condense and collapse upon itself.

It was with a simple watching of the Hit Holoshow of "Henry Dotter's Fantastic beasts, beings, and creatures, and where to find them" was where he received his answer. Shapeshifting. An armor that can move of its own design, by the will and desire of the host, to cover the user. From simply researching upon various species, Atheus found what he needed.

The Polydroxol.

A species of metallic shapeshifters that were well known for their ability to shape into any humanoid form, while still retaining their metal based form. A mimic of the real deal. It was after some time perusing the darkest parts of the Holoweb, that Atheus got his hands upon a brain dead polydroxol, and a secondary corpse of another.

With all the pieces of this unusual puzzle, Atheus set to work.

The most difficult task set before the man, was how to keep the circulatory system, the skin, and the use of the Polydroxol body, and systems active, and without deteriorating. The frame, or body itself is mostly composed of the metallic compound Denantium. While the metal was always seen with a very high-gloss finish, it would quickly accumulate corrosion or "rust" due to the lack of the Polydroxol's system keeping the skin in tip-top shape. Part of what reduced the severity of the breaking down of this metal, was utilizing other metallic substances that were more sturdy, or would have a higher resistance to corrosion. However, as a mix of metals, it would still corrode.

To fight this off, the entire structural system of the polydroxol had to be reanimated. While this is done artificially through the minor use of cybernetics, and the grafting to the nervous system of Atheus himself. Due to already having a cybernetic arm, Atheus crafted himself a new one. At first using a very basic exoskeleton frame, bio-mechanical wiring that is hooked up to this test arm. As cybernetic limbs are already grafted and use a wide range of medical technology to artificially create the sense of "touch" in various forms of a prosthesis, it is with a little tampering with this same system that allows the connection from this suit of armor, to the nervous system, and brain functions of Atheus.

While very rough, and rudimentary at first, this process was tested before the armor was even fully created. It was tested with very small pieces of this system to make sure that this process would work and function in practice, rather than just on paper. However, there was another problem. Overload. Placed within the systems of the suit of armor during it's creation, as well as the test housing arm, were fuzes, breakers, and insulators to protect Atheus' own mind, and nervous system. He didn't want to connect to the suit for the first time, and be injured, or killed due to sensory overload. At first, there were too many of these cautionary parts for actual use. Atheus couldn't even affect the suit. After using the tried and true process of Trial by Error, Atheus found the right amount of resistors to prevent an overload to the brain, but also have enough energy go through his own body and supplement the suit to function in his desire.

Once the set up of the systems, it aided in the earlier problem of deterioration of the body. Now, all Atheus had to do, was to actually create the housing for this suit.

I'll be handling this one, so bear with me.

Can you clarify what you mean by "morph to an individual person" for me? Is this a sort of bond?

Also, please elaborate on how the Polydroxyl's biology is maintained and preserved relevant to this submission- I see storage in a compartment, but also a shared biology while in use, by virtue of the sustenance weakness. Is it alive, or are you somehow stimulating a corpse to perform feats that a living Polydroxyl would be capable of?

All in all, this appears to be balanced, but I believe that some expounding on the process is definitely in order.

Should this be approved, I would hope to be able to create other forms of technology like this. I find it quite unique as I have not seen anyone else create anything even remotely close to this in function with the materials that I have used. This is why I have kept the term vague as I could use this armor as a prototype for other forms of armor, armaments, or otherwise.

As for the words themselves, The armor literally forms into the shape of the person. As it is a shapeshifting set of armor, about the only change I could see for this armor, is if Atheus were to have his connection to this armor removed, and given to another person, it would in turn, form to shape around that person. While at first it would take test trials to make sure the fit was right and no gaps, or holes were left open, it could be easily assumed that the armor could be worn by other people, yet it is limited due to the significance of needing a neural connection to the "host" or owner of the armor.

I believe I edited everything I needed. Since most of it was fluff in an explanation of how Atheus would discover how to reactivate or utilize this technology, it was all added to the description of the submission.

I would add in some of the weaknesses and strengths inherent to cybernetics since it is hard wired to him, such as the risks and rewards for doing so.

Even with resistors, enough of a current would still be able to do considerable damage to his central nervous system. That said, with that type of link, this suit would literally be able to run entirely off of neural commands, as you intended.

Also, any type of damage to the suit Atheus would be able to feel as physical pain. Even without sensory overload, that would be disadvantageous. The trade off would be the level of stealth you're getting, as well as the other intended benefits. You're essentially looking at a symbiote.
