A Zeltrochiss & a Zabrak Walk Into a Bar... (Zatten Black)

Kadrak grinned and shivered again, stretching up to press a kiss to his cheek as they walked. "Keep it up and we won't exactly be making it to your room. I'm not too picky about finding any blankets just yet, unless you have a stipulation. We do have the entire way to the Core to build our forts, you know. Unless you want to get started early." She winked again, stepping just a bit closer to him. "And I would say, or something. I don't need the Force to know what you're thinking, I'm afraid."
She smiled and shrugged. "Not necessarily run around and fix things all the time. Just when we aren't preoccupied elsewhere. Which, if our previous conversation on the way here was any indicator, won't be a lot. So no, not a lot of fixing will probably get done."

I smiled slowly, and winked.

"I'll be a bit disappointed, but not overly surprised, if we don't manage to make it to my room. It's only a few meters away, after all. But that's still a bit of a walk. And I think we're focused on each other a bit more than is actually conducive to walking."

I shrugged, and put my arms around Kadrak.

"But it really is much too cold out here to be without clothes. We might as well keep walking, I guess."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak smiled and nodded. "And, besides being with you, which I'm very interested in, you'll have to give me a tour of your ship sometime as well. It's not often I get the chance to just walk around a ship more or less freely without being on some kind of assignment. When we aren't busy making our blanket forts, that is."
She studied the halls as they walked, more out of habit than anything, curious as to just what this Corvette of his held. "It is a bit chilly, I'll grant you that. Hopefully having the two of us up and about will help change things. It's always nice when you can make things feel just a little bit more like home. It makes returning all the nicer." She looked to him with another smile.

Of course, my 'little brother' was watching. He usually was, when I was on the ship. He usually didn't reveal himself when I had guests, but this time he did. His presence was shown by the sudden presence of slow music. Dancing music. Cheeky bastard. I looked around, and back to Kadrak, trying to remember where the cameras in this hall were.

"Well, I guess my little brother thought it was time to intervene."

I shrugged, and held Kadrak closer.

"Do you want to dance?"

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak blinked and glanced around for a moment, knowing she would have to pose more questions about the system later. "I'm going to take a wild guess and say some kind of camera system, along with something akin to an AI of sorts if things are able to function more or less independently like this. You definitely are a better mechanic than you ever let on, if you've managed to get all of this figured out. Especially the AI."
She smiled and stepped just a bit closer. "I wouldn't mind, no. I haven't danced in some time, so I might be a bit rusty. Of course, it just wouldn't be us dancing if no one stepped on each others toes just a little bit."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I smiled, and leaned my forehead on Kadrak's again.

"I didn't program him. He was my dad's little joke, and he's always been like my younger, annoying brother. But, yes, he has cameras in here, somewhere."

Closing my eyes, I relaxed, and started to lead the slow waltz.

"I haven't had a partner to dance with in a long time. I have that effect on people."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak smiled and let her eyes slide shut as well, following after him in the slow dance, relaxing with a quiet, content sigh. "Funny you say that, because you have exactly the opposite effect on me. Now that I think about it, you strike me as the sort to enjoy a bit of a formal dance every once in a while. And you aren't bad at all." She reached her hands up to gently clasp them around the back of his neck, now almost completely relaxed, which was strange for her in any situation. But she'd be lying if she said she didn't mind the feeling.
"I think it would be nice to have a younger sibling, sometimes. You might have to introduce me to him properly, sometime. I'm always interested to meet new company." She smiled again.

[member="Zatten Black"]

I smiled, even though Kadrak couldn't see me.

"I'm not complaining, really. He's a fun little guy. You'll meet him, soon. I doubt he'll let himself go unnoticed for the trip to Coruscant."

I reached both my arms down to Kadrak's waist, and let them rest there.

"Oh, I enjoy dancing. I just don't like dancing alone. I doubt you'd let me, though, even if I wanted to."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak flashed a small grin. "Well, there's a chance I would most likely ask you if you'd like to dance with a partner instead of by yourself. Which is another way of saying that no, I probably wouldn't. Unless you were persistent about it, in which case I might have let it slide just once. But you would find it hard to shake me completely. I tend to stick around once I take a liking to people, see."
She hummed quietly along with the music for a moment. "He strikes me as the kind of guy, if he's anything like you, to be one for more than a touch of sarcasm. But also a really nice guy once you get to know him, and a gentleman even though he won't admit it."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I grinned crookedly, and squeezed Kadrak.

"You know there's only one response to that, right?"

I kissed her, and just stayed like that for a few seconds. Then, I pulled back slightly and and my grin came back.

"A gentleman, huh? I think you might have mistaken me for somebody else. I'm just a guy who knows what, and who he likes. But I'm glad you have such confidence in me."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak shrugged and returned the kiss and his grin. "I knew there were only a few responses you would go for, which was exactly why I said it. I happen to enjoy kissing you a bit, see. And you're a brilliant dancer, too. I'm beginning to get an idea that you're more skilled at some things than you're willing to let on." She trailed one hand down his arm to take his hand in hers, squeezing it gently. "And I can't imagine why."
She smiled and rolled her eyes. "I don't think I have you confused with anybody, now that you bring it up. I'm not sure there's exactly an abundance of Zeltron hybrids quite like yourself in the galaxy, though I've never bothered to look. So yes, my original sentiment about you being a gentleman still stands until you decide to prove me wrong. Which may or may not be a successful operation."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I shook my head slightly, rubbing my forehead against the front horn on Kadrak's head.

"I don't believe I will try to prove you wrong. At least not now. I'm enjoying your company a bit too much."

I kissed her cheek, and closed my eyes.

"Plus, I didn't say you were wrong. I don't tend to correct the flattery of beautiful women. Especially one who seems to enjoy kissing me."

I pulled back, looking into her eyes and grinning.

"But, while I agree, I have one other fact that I think you already know. There is no one like me."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

"Which, arguably, only makes you more special. But I'm sure you already knew that." Kadrak smiled kissed the tip of his nose. "And one could argue that everyone is unique and there's no person quite like the next. But I don't think I'll press the argument. Because I happen to like the fact that there isn't anyone else like you. It just makes the novelty of me being with you much more fun." She winked and gently toyed with his fingers. "I enjoy your company as well. Much more than I have any right to, but I don't think I'll be changing the fact anytime soon."
She returned his grin. "I'm afraid that any arguments you had against the fact have already been disproved by yours truly. This is one situation I believe even you'll have a difficult time getting out of." She stuck her tongue out at him.

[member="Zatten Black"]

I grinned, and put my fingers up against Kadrak's.

"Novelty, huh? I've definitely been called worse things. I certainly don't mind being in your collection."

With my free hand, I traced the arch of her back again.

"The most difficult part of getting out of it would be my lack of motivation to do so. As in, I don't give a frak to try."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak grinned and shivered slightly once more as he traced her back, stepping closer and kissing him for a long moment. "Not my collection, really. I'm just lucky enough to have met someone like you, see. There's a difference." When he pressed his hand up against hers she slid her fingers between his and squeezed his hand gently, kissing his cheek next.
"So, now that we've come to the consensus of you being a gentleman, let's move on to the next order of business, which is getting to this room of yours, I believe. Unless you had something else in mind, in which case do tell." She winked.

[member="Zatten Black"]

I returned the wink, and continued stroking Kadrak's back.

"I did have something else in mind, but I think my little brother's saving it for later."

I held her hand, and moved it around in a circle.

"Sadly, but not that sadly, I believe that my room might be the only stop on this trip. And maybe the kitchen if our, uh, stopping makes us hungry."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak tilted her head curiously with a slight smile. "I have a feeling your little brother is going to be some very interesting company on our way to Coruscant. Especially if he's of mind to come up with a few surprises of his own. Sadly enough for him I'm more inclined towards you." She smiled and kissed his other cheek this time, tracing the top of the hand she held with her thumb.
"I'm afraid I'm not too great of a cook, at least when it comes to most things. There's a reason I prefer to head to a cantina or some other restaurant instead of doing my own home cooking. But, all things considered, I suppose I could give it a shot. And since you did say that we'll most likely just be stopping in your room, I have to assume that you either have another remote for this ship of yours, or your little brother can pilot as well."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I pulled closer to Kadrak, and leaned my head near her shoulder, closing my eyes.

"He's as full of surprises as a computer can be. I can get him to fly us to Coruscant, but he'd be just as likely to ditch us on some half-volcanic planet full of beaches. He's done it before. Seemed convinced that I needed a break."

I kissed her neck, and smiled.

"I can cook. I just can't barbeque, so I go to the Hutt. I'm glad I did, or that would have been a lonely night."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak smiled and laughed quietly, more at the thought of Zatten's reaction to such a thing than the prospect of the two of them being left on some planet on the way to the Core. Though it sounded like an interesting stay, it wasn't something she was keen to experience just yet. "I can only imagine what you said to him once he decided it was time to pick you up. But volcanic beaches do sound like they have an exotic sort of beauty to them. If we ever get bored starting bar fights and traveling the galaxy aimlessly we might have to see about taking a little vacation. Which won't be the average by any means, I'm almost certain."
She smiled again and pressed a kiss to the base of his jaw. "I'm glad you decided to show your face, too. Things wouldn't have been nearly as fun if you hadn't, and I wouldn't have gotten to see this ship of yours. Oh, and the blanket forts. Those are fun too."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I felt the kiss on my jaw, and traced the edges of Kadrak's fingers with mine.

"You know, I think the next blanket fort can wait a while. My bed is a fort in itself, and I imagine we'll be exploring it for a while..."

I laughed a bit at the idea of a vacation, my chest rising and falling against hers.

"With our luck, we'd be running for our frakking lives within an hour of getting to the beach."
