A Zeltrochiss & a Zabrak Walk Into a Bar... (Zatten Black)

"My life isn't usually near as eventful. Unless I go out of my way to incite trouble, things are usually fairly quiet. Unless a gunfight starts in the bar I just happen to be in at the time, in which case I'm all for it. Otherwise, no, I'm not a person to inspire violence in others. Or insults, as far as I know. I would argue that there's something about you that inspires it, but we already knew that. Something in you inspires just the opposite to insults in me. But I'm sure you knew that." Kadrak smiled.
"Well, maybe not everywhere. I mean, we have to have some room to walk around. But other than that, everywhere doesn't sound like a bad idea. As long as you have nothing against the thought, that is. We would have plenty of places to cuddle, too." She grinned.

I winked, and smiled slowly.

"I see no real reason we have to walk... Except when we're hungry. Then we gotta get to the kitchen. Even the controls are on AI autopilot at the moment. Complements of my 'little brother'."

My smile spread into a jokingly evil grin.

"Of course I inspire people to attack me. People mostly see me as a Zeltron who needs a huge metal Vader-suit to walk around. It makes those who are content to lose brain cells ignore the few that are left."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak tilted her head with a half smile. "Do tell how we would manage to get around without walking. As much as I would like to, we can't spend all of our time in the pillow forts. However much we would like to. Of course, I could be wrong. You'll have plenty of time to prove that to me later on our way to the Core, and then a bit more on the short flight to Coruscant." She winked.
"I'm sure it's not only the less intelligent who attack you. There had to have been some who were a bit, hmm, put off by it and deemed the smartest decision to get rid of the threat immediately. I have to assume that it didn't bode well for them, however many brain cells they did or didn't have left at the time. At least it's not a cause for worry anymore. For them, at least."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I smiled back, closing my eyes a little while our heads rested together.

"You know, I'm not sure about the brain cells being able to fire on their part, really. I'm talking random Gamorreans attacking me on Nar Shaddaa. Brain power is not at stake."

My smile grew wider, and a glint came to my eyes.

"I'm sure we'll find a way. We're both quite inventive."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

"I can't imagine brain power being an issue there, no. And now that I think about it, I've never fought a Gamorrean before, surprisingly enough. That would be an interesting tale to tell after the fact. We'll have to see what happens on Coruscant to remedy that problem. The capital world of the Sith. After having read enough and heard more about it, it'll be nice to finally go and see how things really are. I'm guessing a bit imperial myself, but nothing like the Remnant. An abundance of rules has never been my strong point, so we'll have to see how this goes." Kadrak kissed him gently on the lips.
"Inventive, definitely. Which will only make thinking up ways to avoid walking even more fun. Especially since we'll have so much time on our hands to think about it." She winked.

[member="Zatten Black"]

I laughed at Kadrak's idea of what a Sith-controlled Coruscant would be like.

"Oh, the Sith are imperialists, but not imperials in the normal sense. They don't usually exercise insane amounts of control over their planets. Coruscant least of all. There's no way to control that many levels of city, or that kind of population. Even if you nuked the whole planet, I bet most of the Works and infrastructure would take the brunt, and then be built back on top of."

I smiled when she kissed me, and I ran my hand along her back.

"I do imagine that we'll find something to do in all those blankets in the meantime."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak flashed a grin. "So they're imperialists, but not your regular, everyday imperialists. That does make sense, actually. I think I'd like to at least look around the higher levels for a bit, if not to get an idea of just how things work. Though I've never been one for political affairs, how planets are run is somewhat of interest. And comparing the way things were governed between the occupation of Coruscant by the Jedi hundreds upon hundreds of years ago, and the occupation by the Sith now. Irony, if I ever did see any."
When he ran his hand down her back she shivered slightly with a slow smile. "Something, for sure. I have a few ideas now, myself, but we'd best be getting to that ship of yours to make these blanket forts of ours."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I kissed Kadrak, and then drew us both back towards the controls of the walker without letting go of her hand, or her back.

"All you had to do was ask."

I grinned, and spun the two of us around.

"Oh, no. If we're going to Coruscant, we're going everywhere. Down to the Works, too, beautiful."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak grinned and looked out across their view of Nar Shaddaa from the walker's perch on the statue of the Hutt that they had climbed late last night. Or it may have been in the early morning hours, she couldn't exactly recall. "That's the more industrial area, if I remember correctly. I don't know much more about it than that. I really need to get more into my history books. It's not as fun, but it can prove to be more worthwhile than any other learning path if you use it wisely enough. Though I still prefer anything tech related, much to your surprise, I'm sure."
She spun in her chair with a quiet laugh. "Now I know what you mean about liking these chair of yours. They're certainly entertaining to spin in. Though not near as entertaining as spending time with you."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I chuckled, and spun my chair, too.

"I'll bet. I don't think anybody but me would've thought to do something so blatantly idiotic as climb a ten-story statue while drunk. It takes a very odd sort of mind."

I winked at Kadrak, and turned back to the controls, easing the walker down the statue.

"You got it in one. But the Works aren't just industrial. They're the beating mechanical heart of the planet. More damage could be caused to Coruscant by simply going down and destroying a few computers than a bombardment could ever do."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak shrugged. "You say odd, I say fun. It's not everyday someone gets to say they've climbed the statue of Karagga the Hutt, and drunk to boot. Besides, no one's classified normal as far as I know, so no one can really call anything odd. But there are worse things out there. Just like there are worse people to be traveling to Coruscant with to explore, well, everything. And build blanket forts with while trying to think of what to do in order to pass the time. Which shouldn't be too difficult, now that I think about it..."
She leaned back in her chair as he spoke about the Works, a faint smile on her lips. "Sounds fun enough to me. I might have to get a look at things, provided they'll let me. I have a feeling the security clearance won't be lax enough for either of us to tinker with things."

[member="Zatten Black"]

"Well, define 'normal'... Coruscant is a wreck, sure, but people go there all the time. Everybody finds some way to pass time, even if it's not as pleasant of a way as ours."

I grinned at Kadrak, still not taking my eyes off the statue, which the walker was now sliding down.

"Of course, the Works are public knowledge, if not their purpose. There's plenty of guards down there."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

"Well, we could head to a few bars while we're there, too. See how much trouble we can get into in one night without offending any of the local authority. I'm not of a mind to end up in a cell, though I can't speak for you. If something does happen we can always blast our way out. Endless possibilities." Kadrak winked and watched their descent with a grin. "Unless you're opposed to such ideas, in which case I can rethink a few things."
She nodded slowly. "So people are allowed, but they keep a few things under wraps. Understandable, if I didn't want to get a chance to toy with a few pieces here and there. But I suppose they don't want me to bring the entire city down by pressing a wrong button. Not that I would ever dream of doing such a thing without good reason. Which wasn't sarcasm, for once."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I frowned at the thought, and keyed the repulsorlift to lift the walker away from the end of the pedestal of the statue.

"I don't like the idea of anybody being that close to that kind of control."

I spun the walker off, up to the upper level of the Promenade.

"But I'm okay with a cell, really. Just has to have you and a comfy spot in it."

I grinned at Kadrak, finally, and pulled my hands off the controls.

"Of course, it won't be as fun as the multitude of bars that aren't made of metal."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak returned his grin and reached over to rest her hand on top of his. "We'd still be able to offend the usuals and get into a fair share of fights, I bet. But you're right, nothing beats a bar that you're actually free to walk around in. And it has less guards and rules, and more of our idea of a good time. Oh, and whiskey too, I suppose, but that's a bit secondary for me." She glanced outside with a curious look in her eyes. "I have to assume that we're at this oh so famous ship of yours."
She thought for a moment. "No, no one should be able to so easily grasp an entire planet with the press of a button or the flick of a switch or whatever. But when you have major galactic superpowers, something like that is almost inevitable. It's why I try to avoid any of the major groups out and about and live and let live, most times."

I looked fondly up at the Corvette, a little gift to myself for opening up my company on Zygerria. I took my free hand, and hit the remote docking button on the walker. It stepped up the boarding ramp, into the hangar. I grinned at Kadrak.

"Now we're on the ship. Whiskey, blanket forts, and fun for us both."

I got up, and helped Kadrak out of her seat.

"What say we walk around a bit?"

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak whistled softly in appreciation as she looked around what little of the hangar could be seen from their vantage in the walker. "I can definitely appreciate this ship of yours, now that I've finally gotten an actual look at things. Not a bad piece at all. You got a name yet?" She smiled and gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "Now I can see why you were a bit surprised about the idea of us covering the entire ship in one big blanket fort. Unless you've got a secret stash under one hidden panel or another, we might have to make do with what we have. Not that you'll hear me complain either way."
She returned his grin with one of her own. "I wouldn't mind a look around, nope. But I don't think I'll tinker with anything just yet. Wouldn't want to go ahead and break something right off." She shot him a teasing look.

[member="Zatten Black"]

I returned the look, and the hand squeeze, and laughed.

"I think I've broken almost everything at least once. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Plus, if you're gonna be here with me, you miht as well mess around a bit. Wouldn't be fun, otherwise."

I grinned, and raised an eyebrow.

"I guess we don't need such a colossal fortress. I think we can make do with a room or two. Unless that's not enough space?"

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

At his question she paused thoughtfully, a coy smile playing on her lips. "That depends on what exactly it was you had in mind for our trip. I wouldn't mind being limited to one room or a couple, but if you had something more interesting planned..." Kadrak winked, looking him up and down with a slow grin turning up the corners of her mouth. "In which case, do tell. Wouldn't want to keep me in suspense for too long. I might not have the patience to wait, see." Another wink.
"At least once, well, that makes me feel just a bit better in case something happens to malfunction. But I'll do my best to fix things up if I do mess around, not the opposite. I've never really made it habit to try to break things even more than they already are. Unless someone makes a specific request."

[member="Zatten Black"]

I grinned sideways, and winked back at Kadrak.

"Now why would I tell you, if we're this close to my room, anyway? It'd spoil the surprise, or something. Or would you rather wait to find some blankets?"

I ran my hand down Kadrak's back, again, and stuck my tongue out.

"Oh, so we're gonna run around and fix things? Depending on the degree of clothing at the time, I imagine we'll have as much fun fixing as we do in the 'fort'"
