For nearly a decade the planet of Algara II has been a central hub for the pirate band known as The Blackheart Flotilla. Many thousands of pirates flocking from systems as far as The Outer Rim to join one of the most profitable narcotics operations in the galaxy. They seemed untouchable for many years, successfully evading local security forces through bribes and treachery. That was, until the rival Cerberus Fleet moved in to overtake them in several areas of the planet. Makar Clyne, leader of Cerberus Fleet, met several times with The Blackheart Council. He was unsuccessful in convincing them to join his band, and likewise unable to get them to allow his operations.

Skirmishes marked a bloody war on the peaceful agriworld, underground conflicts and shipping disputes turned deadly, all with civilians caught in the crossfire. Makar was not willing to continue negotiations while The High Republic grows more aware of their actions. A message needed to be sent, and the council had to be dismantled. To that end Makar had brought together outsiders, and planned to light a fire large enough to destroy The Blackhearts.

Objective I: Burn Dem

A large portion of The Blackhearts' fortune came from the stranglehold they had on Torve Weed production. While not a particularly well known drug, its popularity with the aristocracy of the galaxy makes it a valuable source of revenue for the pirates. Makar's plan is to burn down their growing operations in an attempt to sever their purse strings. However, the plantation where the Torve Weed is grown is heavily defended by a huge force of lifelong criminals. Proceed with utmost care and burn down every stalk of green in their fields!


Objective II: Starfire

While the fields on Algara II burn, two enormous fleets of ships are amassing above the orbit of the planet. The Blackhearts have dozens of decommissioned warships from years past, and have no fear of engaging other pirates. Our objective is to instill the fear they so desperately lack! Destroy the ships guarding their main station, and the spoils of war will be ours. Nearly a decade of wealth ranging from art to precious gems lies behind a fleet of the most bloodthirsty pirates in Republic space!
 
Behold.

From hyperspace emerge that which didst sound the death knell of an empire and the very sight of which causes the gnashing of teeth and hateful, spite filled mewling from those who would call them foe. It is an armada of Hapan-crewed Battle Dragons and Vahlan nomadic warships, the corsair fleet led by the abominable warlord Hasuras na-Gerra.

And now his eye hath turned toward the Blackhearts.

The engines of his warships burned to maximum as they sought to close in not merely to gunnery range, but to begin boarding actions.

Aboard the bridge of his stolen flagship, Slayer of Sovereigns, stood Gerra. He pointed toward the Blackheart flotilla.

“Bring me their heads so that I may make an offering to Vahl. And bring me their treasure so that I may make an offering to the Queen Mother of Hapes.”

The Kaine Syndicate had not come to Algara II to play pirate. Pirates chased plunder. Businesses acquired assets. The distinction mattered.

The transport settled onto a makeshift landing zone several kilometers from the Torve Weed plantations. The vessel bore no heraldry recognizable to the local factions, only a subtle black crest worked into its hull where those with the right connections would recognize it.

The ramp lowered. Wrenna Kaine descended first. She wore an immaculate white coat despite the smoke already staining the horizon. Gold accents caught the morning light while black gloves concealed one hand—the other a polished black cybernetic replacement that rested lightly against an elegant cane more for style than necessity. Behind her followed aides, legal representatives, accountants, and a discreet security detail.

She barely spared the burning fields a glance. Instead, blue-gray eyes shifted toward the towering Trandoshan warrior waiting below. "Korr." The single word carried expectation rather than greeting. "You know the assignment."

Korr Ghaash answered with a silent nod. Behind him, nearly three dozen Kaine Syndicate soldiers checked blasters, loaded accelerant canisters, and climbed aboard rugged transports. They were not rabble hired for the day. They moved with practiced discipline, veterans of dozens of criminal campaigns who understood that destroying an enemy's income often proved more valuable than killing the enemy himself.

"The Blackhearts built their fortune here," Wrenna continued calmly. "Burn the crop. Break their defenders. Leave enough survivors to tell everyone who arrived after Cerberus."

Her expression never changed. "No unnecessary heroics." A faint smile touched her lips. "But do be thorough."

Korr offered one final nod before turning toward his waiting force. Repulsor engines roared. Within moments the convoy sped toward the plantations, Kaine Syndicate soldiers riding alongside Cerberus' offensive with flamethrowers, incendiary charges, and enough firepower to ensure every field they reached became little more than ash. If the Blackhearts wished to defend their fortune, Korr would happily oblige them with violence. Wrenna watched them disappear beyond the hills. Only then did she turn away.

The meeting place had once served as a modest municipal administration building before the Blackheart occupation had reduced it to a headquarters for bribery and intimidation. Today its original occupants had cautiously returned. City planners. Trade officials. Agricultural ministers. Bureaucrats who had spent years watching criminals rule their world.

Wrenna entered as though she belonged there. "My name is Wrenna Kaine." Her voice was warm, measured, entirely at odds with the violence unfolding across the countryside. "I represent the Kaine Syndicate."

A pause. "More accurately... I represent investment." Several uneasy looks passed between the Algarians. "I am aware your world's industry has languished while pirate interests redirected labor and infrastructure toward narcotics production."
She folded her hands before her. "That is an inefficient use of both your workforce and your orbital position." A holoprojector activated beside one of her aides, displaying sleek commercial shipyards, freight docks, and cargo routes stretching across nearby sectors.

"I intend to help you diversify." Factories. Dockyards. Transport contracts. Thousands of jobs. "Algara II possesses an experienced labor force, abundant agricultural exports, and orbital real estate capable of supporting significant civilian ship construction." Her smile remained polite. "I would like to discuss what incentives your administration might offer a corporation willing to build those facilities here once the current... instability has concluded."

Outside, distant explosions rolled across the countryside as columns of smoke climbed into the sky. Wrenna never looked toward them. Some negotiations were conducted with credits. Others simply required convincing everyone that the future had already arrived.

Objective II: Starfire

The orbit around Algara II had become a hellish war zone, with orbital defense arrays activating, and ships clashing. It was enough to get Makar's blood boiling once again! He could sense the battle coming to a head, The Blackhearts were bringing their main force! Three large cruiser craft, all armed with advanced particle-beamers as their main weaponry. They could tear through the armor of most ships, and the three council members knew it.

Hasuras Na-Gerra Hasuras Na-Gerra was in position for boarding, but swarms of defensive fighters were launching from nearby stations to try and keep his ships at bay. Some were modified freight ships, others were outdated ships like the Z95 Headhunter and the ARC-170. While not the height of technology, they were numerous.

Makar smirked as he saw Na-Gerra's ships blowing the enemy fighter cover to smithereens on their way in. So long as their proton torpedoes didn't strike home, it wouldn't be a difficult engagement. The issue was the several defensive stations firing upon them and their missile launching emplacements scattered around the area!

"Makar to Na-Gerra! I shall engage the stations, the council's warships are yours to do with as you please!"

Objective I: Burn Dem
On the ground, the plantation was being assaulted by a force lead by a Sephi pirate under Makar's command. Marni charged in with a flame projector in one hand, and a blade in the other. She would run through anyone who tried to stop her! She danced alongside the forces of Wrenna Kaine Wrenna Kaine , the criminal veterans who were making a potential rout look like a close battle.

Even as the plantation security began calling in mortars on the assaulting force, they were undeterred by the explosives. Their objective was to cause damage, and not even a rain of shrapnel and fire would stop them! "C'mon you slugs! I wanna see what you call a real bloodbath!"

Even as the battles raged for control of Algara II, the various powers of the planet were gathering for yet another meeting. It was as if their planet was dealing with a minor infestation, rather than a raging storm of fire and violence. The civic planners sat with Wrenna, one man wiping his forehead before addressing her.

"I don't disagree that a restructuring is in order, but The Republic will surely have words for us after this large of a conflict. How could you guarantee us anything in the face of a full High Republic task force," Questioned the bespectacled Sullustan who oversaw the planet's purse strings.

"Well if The Republic could guarantee us anything, she wouldn't be here. I believe we should hear her out."
Ta'kera, the Kaminoan head of state offered. Save for a senator, she cast the most weight on Algara II since The Republic took over. "Tell me Madame, how can we assist your most benevolent forces?"
