All the words that parted Reina's lips were lost to the winds and the ambiance of the night, Ayra did little to pay attention to them. She cared very little about the concern shared by the Ersanyr, though being fussed over was always enjoyable to the Echani. But as she floated in the water, watching the moon caress Reina's face, it faded into the background.

A thumb brushed delicately across her features, dragging the wet strands of white hair away from where they blinded her. And as the irritation only grew more for Reina, boldness took the chest of the Echani. As the thumb finished tucking the wet strands behind her ear, Ayra decided to seize the moment.

Feth it.

The arms that had wrapped around Reina's shoulders quickly pulled back as her hands fell to the girl's cheeks and pulled her into a kiss, pressing Reina's lips into hers. The heat in her chest only grew as she tasted the girl's lip, her first kiss with another woman. She hadn't expected, nor even craved it, but something about tonight felt right.

The way she felt comforted in Reina's arms and how they shared with one another. Her looks didn't hurt either, as the gluttony for the mermaid continued. A hand made it's way to the back of Reina's head as she kissed her once again, softly massaging her head.

After a lengthened moment, their lips parted, a strand of red hair still clinging to the Echani's lips before she brushed it aside.

"Sorry, I uh..." There was little excuse the Echani could offer, she had done it because she wanted to. "I'm sorry, I should have asked first."

Even as she spoke though, her body moved on its own. Her hands fell from the Ersanyr's face, one against the small of the mermaid's back to pin them together, and another finding a space significantly lower.

Reina was stunned for words. She had been grumbling away about safety and the next thing is, she had a pair of lips against her own. It wasn't her first kiss. But it was still tasted different. Feeling someone's hand moving through her hair to hold onto the back of her head...She was at a loss for words. It hadn't been anything that Reina had been expected. And then Ayra pulled away to apologise, Reina's eyes flickering to the strand of her own hair against Ayra's face before the Echani brushed it aside.

She wasn't sure how to feel. It wasn't as if she was upset or hurt by it. Evident by the fact she hadn't pushed Ayra away straight away. But...she wasn't sure if it felt right. Reina couldn't deny it. Ayra did look good, otherwise she wouldn't have made the comments about the Echani that she had made. Yet Reina cared deeply for another...She was also starting to realise that she seemed to have a thing about Echani. Funny how that seemed to work for her.

"I...You should be sorry...I'm...I've had a lot of people...take things from me without asking...Been in a lot of situations where I felt like I had no control."

It was finally time for Reina's own blush to start forming. She just had to look at this in a certain way. Reina and Ayra were just enjoying each other's company. That was all. There wasn't any strings attached. Nothing serious about it. If anything, Reina could see it as a way of making herself more...comfortable with affection. Though a small little yelp escaped her lips as Ayra's hand moved significantly lower.

"But...but...I'm not...mad. Okay? Just...ask next time. Okay?"

Next time. Reina wasn't saying it would never happen again. She was leaving the ball in Ayra's court. Instead she just carefully held Ayra in her arms, wrapping her tail around Ayra's legs, in a mock attempt to replicate the little footsie moment that she and Quinn had.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I should've realised..."

The words were saddened, she hadn't hoped to affect the Ersanyr in such a way. The sensation in her chest had grown to consume her, but she never intended to hurt the girl with her actions. As they float, the reassurance Reina gave her meant everything to the Echani. Not only that she hadn't offended her, but that the kiss wasn't as unwelcome as she worried.

"Then do you mind if I-" A yelp escaped from the Echani's throat as she felt the tail intertwine with her leg, the scales caressing her bare skin as they float in the water. "If I-"

This time the heat raced elsewhere, unable to contain herself anymore. She pulled the Ersanyr tight against her, arms wrapped around the back of the mermaid as they pressed together. Her body was unable to control the feeling, making her actions base and feral as she once again kissed Reina.

This time was hungrier, no longer the simple pecks of a timid lover, but voracious grasps at the lips of the mermaid. It was the passion of one without experience, rookie attempts to utilise her tongue in the kiss as well as she sought to grow the passion of the moment. They were strangers when the sun went down, and right now they had grown more than friends.

A pang of guilt raced through the Echani as she knew she didn't seek a lover, but perhaps someone to help satiate the hunger another had left within her. But for tonight, they might grow to resemble something similar.

"You...didn't mean to hurt me...It's okay Ayra. Honestly. Please."

Reina carefully ran her tail against Ayra's leg, trying to comfort the Echani to let her know that Reina was okay. That she was okay with this. This time, she wasn't surprised when Ayra pulled Reina in for another kiss...though the passion had taken her by surprise. The warmth in the kiss was enough to make the water feel like it was bubbling. Turning a cold body of water into a metaphorical hot spring as Reina leaned into the kiss, wrapping her arms around Ayra, holding her close. It was perhaps not as tight as Ayra was...but she was reciprocating

It wasn't the soft warmth that she felt with Quinn. Her heart wasn't fit to burst with emotions...but there was warmth. Reina closing her eyes as she let Ayra take the lead. Whilst this may not have been Reina's first kiss, that is not to say she was experienced with any of this. She had very little experience with intimacy, with being close to someone and trusting them. But that was what this was. A learning experience.

It was almost ironic in a way, in how both Ayra and Reina felt guilty. For almost the exact same reason yet neither had told the other. They were clearly not lovers, but at the same time, they had swiftly became something far more close than friends.

The reciprocation was all the Echani needed to give in to what she felt, allowing herself to fall into the arms of the Ersanyr as the two of them floated in the pool. A passion she hadn't felt before took over the girl, her first time accepting being physical with another woman. A conversation past took place in her mind, but she tried to drown it out.

As she pulled away from the redhead, she panted as she sought to catch her breath. Having fell a bit too far into her lust.

"Let's forget about all that other stuff. Just for tonight."

She wouldn't wait for the girl's answer before pressing their lips together once again, her hands seeking to familiarise themselves with Reina's boy in a dance against the moonlight. She brought her to the edge of the pool and hung on the side as they continued to make out, from there the two's night would begin to blur, given away to the moments that they shared.

It would serve as a reprieve for the both of them, their internal battles forgotten by the shared moment in the night, at least temporarily. Yet the moon would still dance above them, watching the quiet moment shared between two frustrated individuals who simply sought relief from their struggles.
