Trouble Personified
T R O U B L E
Druckenwell, it was not exactly Coruscant but it wasn't Tatooine either for Vess' part she quite enjoyed living on a world controlled by mega-corporations, there was ample opportunity for somebody with her talents to make a name for herself, and she had indeed managed that of the years. She spent a lot of time bouncing from place to place out of necessity, as one would expect from a planet of wealthy corporations would be more than happy to employ the skills of a slicer with little sense of wrong in siphoning off data from competitors for profit. One such job she had stolen designs for a certain product and handed that design to another firm. Mission completed, the payment received, however, being the clever slicer she was she maintained a copy and sold it to several other companies as well and now there may or may not be multiple security forces on the lookout for her, perhaps she had finally overstayed her welcome on this planet after all.
Currently, Vess was rapidly packing her few belongings along with all her credits into a satchel when she heard a commotion from down below, she scrambled quickly now and ran to her holo terminal setting an ion charge on it and arming it with a short countdown, by the time they arrived it would be nothing more than a useless chunk of metal, she darted over to the window as she glanced outside, there had always been this possibility and so she had planned for it, slinging her bag over her shoulder she pried the window open and slipped outside as she heard the door behind her bust open, she edged her way along a series of pipes between her building and another, from the other building she could make a straight line for the starport, steal a ship and be long gone before they caught up, or so she thought as she heard a blaster shot fire and then pass by her head, followed by another close behind.
"Wow, ok a bit of an overreaction guys!" she scrambled along the pipe faster now as more blaster bolts rained down behind her, Vess was definitely not having a good day at all.
