A walk in the park with my BUDDY

Alexei both liked and disliked test drives. He liked them because he was an experiential type of person, he disliked them because more than often they could malfunction and compromise not only your mission but your existence as well. The sniper had a hard time trusting people, let alone drones. Furthermore, having to engage in close quarters was not something he really cherished.

Standing on the roof of a eighteen floored building in the ecumenopolis of Axxila - a planet close to Mandalorian and Galactic Republic space. A thriving planet, yet there was cleansing to be done. Apparently this building belonged to a 'charitable' man funding a criminal organization that was smuggling weapons around One Sith Space, arming partisan movements. Well, it was time to cut the limb.

Having been instructed on not utilizing his helmet at all, in order to test the capability of this new drone that had been created. With a sigh, he quickly constructed the drone and activated it.

"We're going floor by floor, feed me with all the data I need so I don't end being shot out of nowhere. Alright?"

With a blunt beep the drone took off, activating its stealth capabilities as soon as possible, Makarov could no longer see the drone. Activating the holoprojector on his left fore-arm and entering the building from the roof door, Alexei held tight his SI-17 Blaster Pistol.

The holoprojector formed a blueprint of the floor, the drone's sophisticated sensors were with a technology that enabled the interactive holoprojected map of the floor to have moving dots for enemies that were moving around patrolling the floor. A blue point on the map identified Alexei, while green points, he knew, identified friendly which currently there were none.

Let's roll...

Alexei moved quickly to the side of the wall next to a door, as a red dot on the map that the droid feeded his holoprojecting device on his left hand signalled that a person was just behind the door, the movement of the dot implied that the person was headed for the door, whether the person would open it or not, the sniper awaited to see.

The door opened and casually an armed man moved into the dark corridors of the floor where the only light was from the cityscape, Alexei only could notice the night-vision goggles the man employed before his pistol was aimed at point-blank range at the man's head. With a swift press on the trigger, the invisible and silent bolt of SI-17 blaster killed the man on the spot. Methodically, Alexei took the man's comlink in case periodic checks were made and took the body within the room that he had just left - an office. Throwing his body behind a desk, Alexei quickly left the office and moved towards the turbolift.

He noticed that it was going upwards, probably towards him and Alexei quickly instructed the droid.

"Scan the turbolift, feed me quickly."

The holoprojector turned off in his left hand and after two seconds reappeared with the blueprint of the turbolift shaft following the moving upwards turbolift.

"Life-forms?" He enquired the droid, as it currently was giving dots based on its thermal sensors and FST. The LFI quickly fed data provided by the conjuction of the other scanners and the two dots on his holoprojector were replaced with two images describing two different races. The images were generic, not the faces of the scanned targets but to identify their race. The LFI was not 100% accurant, Alexei knew that, but it was still very accurate. The two images showed a Human and a Rodian.

Well, only one way to find out.

He stood straight infront of the doors and raised his blaster. The turbolift stopped on Alexei's floor and the doors began to open. They were not fully open when the invisible blaster bolts pierced both sentients' heads. The sniper pulled both bodies off the turbolift as the doors closed and looked under both of the security men's helmets - a Human and a Rodian. A smile appeared on the marksman face, this was fun.

Taking the turbolift down, Alexei instructed the drone to scan the next floor for him for potential dangers of being detected. The sonic mapper of the drone mapped once again the floor but indicated no life forms, yet quickly formed gleaming red lines on different spots. Lasers. Alexei remained in the turbolift as there was a red line just on the threshold of the turbolift. If he stepped in, the sniper would trigger the alarm. The DER of the droid sure did its job. With a smile, he instructed the droid to compile a list of which floors had no life forms, so he could overpass them as that meant there were no targets for him to eliminate.

Apparently, the drone moved around the building so its sensors could cover the different floors of the building which at its previous location did not have the range to do so. In a minute, the holoprojector dissipitated only to be replaced by random numbers. That was the list of no-life form floors. All of the floors until the sixth were like the one he was on now.

Pushing the button for the sixth floor, Alexei instructed the droid to monitor Alexei's surroundings and be prepared to immediately have a scan ready of the sixth floor by the time the turbolift would arrive there.
