Faction A Station Eclipse

Kalic Daws Kalic Daws

Spaceports. They were the galactic version of taverns; a wretched hive of scum and villainy. But mingled among the bad apples were heroes as well. Some were more reluctant than others. But they offered a glimpse of hope in a Galaxy full of darkness.

Spacers had heroes too. And villains.

Most had a love of their spacecraft. Each ship had a name; and more often than not they were spoken of as though they were sentient in their own right. A spacer was lost without their ship, until a new one was found.

The Eternal Empire was growing, and with it was horrible acts of destroying said ships. Lori knew that well enough for her Mother had lost her ship to the EE as they conquered Zakuul. Now she was determined to get her revenge on them.

Sitting at a table in one of the bars of a spaceport just skirting EE space, Lori found herself carving graffiti. ~Eternal Empire=Eternal Nerfherders~It was childish, really, but she was sure that many would share her sentiments. She even included a little emblem, a sort of mix between Republic, Jedi and a skull. It was a work in progress, but she imagined herself as a hero from one of the holomovies that left a calling card for her enemies to see.

Curtis Learchin Curtis Learchin was still out on his own adventure. The two of them had talked about hitting back at the Sith. But this was a good idea too. Hopefully he'd return soon and they could work on this together.

A few people passed her by, giving her looks that varied from concern to disappointment. But Lori didn't care. She was a girl on a mission. Or rather she would be soon enough, once she figures out where to strike the EE first and how.

"Oo, I see what you're going for," the woman said aloud, not quite addressing the woman who'd decided that the wall of a bar was the best place to throw up some art. Well, not that Kelsie was addressing anyone else. The other patrons just grunted as they passed by on their way to get a drink, but the Paragon had decided to watch this master artist at work on her canvas. She folded her arms, studying the symbol emblazoned behind the bit of text.

"Yeah, that slight Jedi-Republic aesthetic... the green reminds me of the Corellians," she mused, nodding away like some elderly art connoisseur. "And is that a skull? A little cliche, but I get the message. Very nice. Your own design? Or are there more of you?" Had to ask. This girl probably knew more about the Eternal Empire than Kelsie did, and probably also knew much more about any active resistance efforts going on. Kelsie did know enough about this particular sect of crazy imps to know that they were bad news -- and whispers of big moves hadn't gone unheard by the woman. She needed a threat assessment, and quickly. Asking around this particular bar hadn't proven much of a success until now.

Perhaps a bit of rebellion and rabble-rousing was in order. Who knew? Maybe she could start making waves in the galaxy, too.

Ah starports! Kalic had stayed at so many over his life that were very homey to him. Whether he actually had a bunk or not they tended to be more comfortable than sleeping in his fighter. But now, he was simply walking into one of the port’s bars.

He smiled, and quickly ordered a drink before starting to walk to a table, it was then that he noticed someone carving an emblem into a table. Odd, but then he noticed someone else walk up and comment on it. “Jedi-Republic aesthetic.” He didn’t know enough about the Jedi or Rebublic to comment on that, but he did know what someone looked like when they were planning something. So he walked up, wondering the reaction he’d get when he talked about what he saw.

“Looks interesting, that’s all I can really say.” He was new to the region, so Kalic wasn’t quite sure if the emblem meant anything, but he knew the words sure did. So his voice went low, as to not draw too much attention. “Take you aren’t a fan of some local government?”

Lori didn't look at Kelsie as she spoke. Instead she kept focus on her graffiti, doing whatever she could to perfect it to her liking. "Do you think the skull is too much? Is it too cluttered?" She paused then, tilting her head on either side in order to try to catch it at a different angle. Maybe it was too cluttered...

Just as she was about to answer the other question, Kalic showed up and made his remarks too. And as he kept his voice low, so did Lori. "I think that there are a lot of people that aren't fans of what's happening in the region." She just needed to find them. "What about you two?" It was hard to say where they hailed from. This was a spaceport. People tended to come from everywhere.

"I think it works. But hey, you've got time to figure it out." The woman shrugged. Rebellions had to start somewhere, and a good calling card could unite a fair number of people. Honestly, some adolescents seeing a cool symbol would probably be enough to make them join up. That was probably why the Alliance to Restore the Republic was so successful; they had a better flag than the Empire did, as much as she hated to admit it.

Kelsie raised an eyebrow, glancing at the pilot. She... knew him. Kalic. Yeah, that was his name. From what she could tell he hadn't recognized her. Didn't really matter. "The Eternal Empire is pretty... sad, honestly. The leader, pretending he's somehow ordained by some ancient Sith lord, but he's too scared to fight for his Empire's homeworld against those who took it?" She was talking about Nelvaan. She'd seen the Empire's roots up close. "Doesn't mean they aren't doing bad things. They're asking for an armed rebellion."

"Still, their policies kind of mandate a secret police, right? I'd suggest being a little more careful where you put your art, kiddo."

Kalic listened carefully as Loreena asked what he and the other person, which he finally realized was someone he bet before, thought about the Eternal Empire. Kalic shrugged a little, looking over when he finally realized the other person was Kelsie. When she finished answering, the Miraluka nodded and gave his own answer.

"First, sorry I didn't recognize you at first Kelsie, but yeah. I may be new here, but whatever good they're actually doing, if you need secret police to handle things I'm not sure I can say you're doing it all on the up and up." He then looked around, just to be sure there wasn't any... unwanted attention.

Lori was glad at least that her design worked well enough. And Kelsie Sylvan Kelsie Sylvan was right; she did have a bunch of time to fix it if she needed to. "Thanks. It should do for now."

Her attention was turned to the talk of the Eternal Emperor. He sounded like a coward, though she figured he could at least fight. "He's a bully. They are all bullies. If they can't go after those that conquered their world because their enemies are too powerful; well only bullies conquer those weaker than themselves. If he was so great, he'd free his own world."

Should she be quiet about this? Probably. But Kalic Daws Kalic Daws hit it on the nose too. The Eternal Empite were up to no good. They were evil and needed to be stopped.

"I don't care if they see it. Let them. We can have it pop up everywhere to let them know that those they conquer will rebel. But they won't know who it is or where the attacks will come from. Sure the Emperor will get more paranoid, but guess what? He'll make mistakes and that'll be his downfall.

I'm going to start recruiting. Today. Are you with me?"
