A Song of Swords and Serpents

The planet Iferetes was an oddity to many like the one who'd come on business. A society that was a mix of the medieval ages of old and yet still had enough advanced technology to be counted among the rest of the galaxy as developed; though some would say under developed. Regardless there was someone here whom had been given a price upon his head. A criminal who hid among the people in order to escape the justice so due to him for his crimes. This man could hide from the galaxy but he could not hide from his own shadow, the very shadow that hunted him now.

Having found him in one of the cities on the planet the shadow stalked him in the day, finding his hiding area in the night. All throughout the day she did not let her presence be know, at least not fully. Her scare tactics were able to instill a sense of being followed which soon became a mix of paranoia. The man would almost always be glancing over his shoulder as he went about his day. It had come to a point where he could not think straight without seeing some cloaked figure in his view. Ah yes, fear of what was after him became apparent to all.

Eventually, when night fell, the criminal returned to his home. Locking it tightly and arming himself to the teeth. He wanted nothing or no one getting in or out. Blaster aimed at the front door the entire time he brought a chair to sit and wait. The windows were rigid with alarms and the only way in without making a sound was the front door, which he had covered. His eyes were glued upon it for hour upon hour, never even so much as blinking. for more than a few minutes. Sweat began to soak every part of his body, he knowing that this thing, this creature of darkness, would make its strike tonight. And yet, by the time it reached past midnight nothing had come.

As the man began to calm thinking to himself his own insanity, he did not hear or see the silent shadow standing behind him. Reaching down a single sharp claw streaked across the man's throat, opening it for the crimson liquid of his blood to spill out. With his dieing gasps of life the man watched as the shadow stood before him now, two piercing yellow-like snake eyes looking into his. To the man this was death, not a skeletal specter, but a cloaked demon with yellow eyes. A woman who revealed her face at the last moment of his life slipped away.

With this killed confirmed Rozala looked over what she'd done, taking it all in silently.

@Arthur David Hardrada

Arthur sat outside the house in simple clothing with a cloak and hood around him as the planet of Eternal Winter's snowfalls started up again, they had about a foot to two feet a week of snow fall and it was surprised how they entire planet wasnt ten miles deep in snow, but much of it was cleared by the piercing winds, wildlife, and Infereti themselves. He felt something odd though causing him to look over his shoulder and glance at the house, in ten minutes the place would be stormed anyways by Iferetes Royal Corp soldiers but something struck him as odd and he kept a close eye on the building itself, his hand on the light saber he had been borrowing lately. @Rozala

The sound of clanking armored men from outside made Rozala perk and look back to the door. They would be inside soon. Quickly she pulled her hood back up before making for the same way she'd come in: one of the windows she'd managed to the cut the alarm from. As carefully as she opened it she closed it, setting the alarm back, even though it was cut, to maintain the quick glance illusion that it was fine and that she had actually come in by some supernatural means.

With the padding she had on her feet to help with the snow and cold weather, Rozala used her acrobats and the use of her clawed gloves to scale up the side of the building. Swinging from one edge to the roof and then contorting upward to reach the roof the crawled over to the side and peeked her head just as they'd finally broken in. Taking the chance she stood and ran, jumping over from one roof to the other, hopefully before any saw her.

@Rozala

Arthur smiled and stood, had he been not watching the building he surely would have missed her, but that had not been the case and as such he saw her scaling the roofs and moving about them. Arthur himself was an avid climber due to his, or what used to be constant, hunting ventures in which he used the trees to his advantage. Heading into a alley Arthur looked around and found a place where he could draw his shortblade and insert it into the stone and start climbing with it as an extra handle before pulling himself up onto the roof and breathing in. His eyes scanned over the roofs and he saw the woman moving off in one direction. Using the force to amplify his movements and abilities he started moving from roof top to roof top as he followed the woman, using her tracks much like he would wildlife to figure out in which direction and how fast she was heading.

Her own force sensitivity made Rozala aware of someone following her. Turning her head back as she kept running across the rooftops she could see the armored man, possibly one of the soldiers, following. She was surprised he was alone but at the same time did not question it. All she knew was that this man would be hard to lose given the snow. If nothing else it would make for an interesting night as she'd not run into anything like this in a while.

The next building to come to was taller than the others, meaning when she jumped Rozala had to dig her claws into the side in order to stop from falling. When she managed it she began scaling up the side, using her clawed metal gauntlet for support as she went further and further up. When she came close to the top she looked back to see if he was able to follow, keeping the hood over her head to avoid him seeing her.

Arthur had followed her roof for roof, though slightly slower due the light armor that didnt weight him down that much but did impede some forms of movement, but the woman still found a new way to get away, making him smile as he stood there and inspected the stones for a moment. They were older and had plenty of points for him to hold on, only part was how many would actually hold the weight applied on them. He sighed and raised his hands, grinning as he continued to search the side of the wall and analyzing the stones while he looked up 'at' her. "OK, YOU WIN. Come down now." @Rozala

Come down? As if Rozala was just going to come down after getting away from him. She huffed and smirked before crawling all the way to the top of the building and looking down at the knight. She of course didn't know he was king but that didn't matter. He was someone she wasn't supposed to kill and just in her way. In all respects she just stood for a moment, her body darkened by the moon's light behind her, before walking off. However she still had to get down and that meant scaling down the other side.

Arthur laughed and jumped, not at the building but to the adjacent one which he was now running over and at a quick pace and in plain view of her, his feet carrying him lightly over the roof top at a quick speed thanks to his light training by his adviser and after getting to the lower part of the building she would have to climb down he waited and watched, he wasnt stupid enough to jump until after she had come down, else she would just turn around and he would have to waste all the more energy getting after her again, and that was something he used sparingly. He stood though with hands crossed behind him and a slightly turned head, waiting for her to do something as he stood there with a stupid grin. @Rozala

Rozala was arrogant enouhg to have thought she lost him by the time she came to the other end of the building. She jumped down and managed to catch her claws on a windowsill that helped her to scale back up. By the time she reached the roof, swining her whole body upwards as she did to flip up and over onto it, she was surprised to see the knight waiting. She glanced back, thinking he'd have flown over or some trick like that, before looking back and putting herself in a fighting stance.

Arthur just remained as he was, watching her and nearly laughing. "Thank you for doing my job for me." He made a quick bow as he finished the sentence, holding the bow for a few seconds as long as she didnt attack before straightening up and resuming the grin he had on his face. He didnt speak the truth, his men were there to kill the man and them finding him dead was good enough reason to chase after the suspected killer and congratulate them, only he wasnt quite through. "Though, you know unsanctioned murder is against the law right?" @Rozala

She did not speak, only gave a slight hiss in her thraot at him. She began circling him, expecting him to make some sort of move. Even after he told her she'd done a job for him and then right away say it was against the law for her to murder without sanction she knew he was likely one of those types to try and come to an agreement before either letting you go or not. She'd run into those types before.

"Are you going to attack me or am i going to have to act first?" His eyes followed her and soon his head as she circled around him, he wasnt some amatuer and it was funny to watch her move about, even more funny as he heard her hiss like a serpent. His hand touched the tip of his saber hidden in his sleeve as he kept his arms crossed behind him, when she attacked he would be ready for what ever she did but first he spoke. "Hurry it up, im going to miss dinner and my twenties at this rate." @Rozala

Seeing as he wasn't attacking Rozala saw no reason to do so herself. She only waited until she was behind him again before making a run for it, dropping down an alley way this time instead of across the buldings. She used her claws to skid down, jumping from one to the other before having a soft landing. She looked up to see if he was following before making a run into the streets, trying to blend in with a crowd.

Arthur watched as she darted off the side of the roof before walking to the far edge, not the one she jumped off, and jumping down onto a cart down below, best part about his home was the the buildings were all pretty low compared to other planets so all it took was a bit of telekinetics to slow him down enough that it would spare him injury. Now while she had been watching for him Arthur had pulled up his hood, pulled his robe tight and began to shadow her now through the crowd, and it was much easier to blend into a crowd you know than one you dont, so following her was simple and he kept hidden while he did so. He would let her think she won for a little bit. @Rozala

Rozala had to lose him, even if he wasn't following. That was part of her tactic, to prepare for any and all cases if being followed after a kill. She would look back now and then before finally just keeping her eyes forward. She would make it seem as if she went down one way but then quickly duck down in order to slip to the other. Down this road and that, seeping into the crowd or people standing around before giving a few minutes until continuing. After that it was just a matter of getting to the spaceport and onto the next transport out.

Arthur knew these streets well and during one of her street changes he was standing in the shadows of an alley as she passed by to change streets, he though stepped out of the shadows and tapped her shoulder as she passed him by. He had made sure this was a ways into the alley and now he had the moment to question the moment, unless she tried to run, because if she did he already began weaving the force around his hands which were now crossed behind him, if she tried to run he would send a pole at her side to knock her off her feet and if such failed he would use the last of the energy to pull her feet out from under her. "Can we talk." He said before though, letting her get the chance to actually talk before violence ensued. @Rozala

When she spotted him from the corner of her eye Rozala ducked before the pole could hit her. Turning to run she fell as he grabbed her feet. She hissed with anger when he tried to get her to talk, Rozala acting fast.While he still held her feet Rozala contorted her body to where she slid around him, managing to free her feet, before she had him locked. Her arms and legs were around his chest and arms, locking them in place. One claw reached at his neck while the other held him down by the shoulder before forcing him to his back on the ground. When her eyes looked dead into his she gave a loud hiss, revealing her forked tongue. It was clear indication he was making a mistake by chasing after her.

Arthur watched as his whole plan backfired and her laid there with her reaching for his neck and his limbs pinned, he started talking instead and meanwhile attempted to weave his way into her mind with the force, atleast enough to annoy her and make her recoil from it so that he could get up. "Look now i dont think harming me in any way is a smart idea in any sense of the word, i just wanted to talk and that is it. Hell you dont even have to talk just listen." He grinned a stupid grin and sent the mind intrusion forward, hoping to stun her for even a second in which her would pull his arms out of her grasp and rolled, pressing her flat on the ground pinned should it work, should it not... @Rozala

The sudden bolt on her mind made her move her claws away and stand up, for a moment, only to be knocked down. When the knight tried to pin her down she used her legs, being a contortionist and all, was able to wrapped her feet around his neck from behind. She only gave a quick jerk of his neck to indicate if she wanted to she could break it. But it seemed as if they were at an impasse at this point, making her look into her eyes with her serpent-like ones. She had no choice but to listen to what he wanted.

He remained there for a few moments before laughing and grinning, his voice completely devoid of any serious tone. "That was a good run, now, lets see where to begin, right. Who sent you after the man, why did they want him dead, and why did they not contact me first to assure that there was no international issue if their killer got caught. Because i really hate when people take justice into their own hands on my planet. By the way, Arthur David Hardrada, king of this lovely planet, now your name?" He kept the stupid, carefree smile on his face as he was forced to look down at her. @Rozala
