A Republic Interview (GR Only, PM to Join)

As Ravaj waited outside the office of Senator [member="Wrrlykam"], he patiently waited for the Senator's secretary to call him in. Ravaj was invited for an interview with the Senator after his flight training for the Republic (that he got kicked out of for being immature.) Apparently, the Senator had noticed his ability to fly a ship around.

"Wonder why she's setting me up with a job? The secretary said it was for flying ability? What kind of Republic job is that going to do for a senator?." He wasn't a politician, but could certainly count as one for his remarkable memory which may be useful to the senator. He did have a few Wookiee friends which may have set him up with the job, he just couldn't put his finger on why he was here, regardless, he'd be formal for a senator. As he put all these thoughts into his head, the secretary came in the waiting room and told him: "The Senator is ready to see you now." He hesitantly got up from his seat, and followed the secretary into Senator Wrrlykam's office.

The room, much like the rest of the floor that built the entire building, was a rich creamy wooden with the occasional large windows that had the required windows inside, and a single opening without a door leading outside the fenced patio. What was different, however, was the strange and large number of wooden carvings of miniature ships laying about the room, as well as a very well designed large carrier still in work laying idly on a desk next to a single dulling wood cutting knife.
The senator sat in a large cushioned chair fit with enough arm space for someone twice her size, but she seemed quite comfortable in it as she worked quickly on various buttons on a large holopad-like device. She suddenly slid it away into a quick locking drawer as her brown beady eyes flickered up to the new comer, as from what the records shown, was Ravaj Jaricck. A young pilot who had attended classes... and had a thing for flying.
As what she wanted wasn't exactly always one hundred percent business, it was nice to have a drop-out who could understand a lower payment without an official degree in the organization. "Take a seat," a droid to her side shining in purple paint with a gold outline repeated out to the young pilot. "Do you further require a translator droid?" It asked, once again mimicking the words of the large towering wookiee in the Rodian language, keeping a pilot and metallic voice online and readied. Because it was an older model, it was nicer to keep things seeming that way. This meant none of the unnecessary voice upgrades, enchanted x-ray sight, and especially those weird extra sound effects.

Ravaj shook his head and smiled "Unless you are not fluent in English madam." The Rodian said as polite as possible. He took a seat and looked up at the Wookiee "You wanted to see me Senator [member="Wrrlykam"]?" After dropping out of the Republic Academy, Ravaj would take any job that wasn't dealing with slums everyday and that would feed him and put a roof over his head.

On closer expection on the Wookiee Senator, he noticed although the Wookiee was sitting down, she was a little bigger than his average Wookiee friends. His friends would've been even smaller in the large chair she was sitting in. Looking around the room, he saw the many carvings of ships which interested him greatly.

Because of the nature of Wrrlykam's physical being, she could not speak basic at all. Besides the series of purrs and growls that came from her throat, she could barely make any sound at all. Instantly re-directing her attention back to the Rodian, the wookiee set off with a loud line of growls and purrs, all which seemed a bit too harsh in her tongue to be considered a real sentence at all, though when the translator droid began to sort through it, it may have come off as a little nicer. "Senator Wrrlykam is very interested in your ability of piloting. With a great allowance during each personal shipment of hers, she ensures you will be quite well treated when not in activity around work." The droid paused as the wookiee started to scratch off pieces of wood from another small carving with her claw, before she looked back up once more and continued. The droid rushed to respond as well. "If you do not have a ship one will be provided for you." She quickly cycled her hand around the office, which were in fact all ships she had access too. Other, bigger and more expensive ones were put in the painting room and sat in the lobby for later use.

Ravaj wondered why the Wookiee senator wasn't talking in Basic, but then realized her vocal cords didn't allow it. He turned to the droid saying "A ship would be nice. Maybe this one?." He was pointing to a triangular-like ship. Under it it said B-3101. "And what job do you have in mind?"

BF-3101? That wasn't close to being one of the wookiee's favorites, which is what she was mostly concerned about in the interview of shipment and delivery equipment. She didn't show her relief, but instead took the ship in her claws and looked it over curiously, as if just seeing it again for the first time. "Senator Wrrlykam would be most delighted to give you the ship from her personal yard, if you are to take more than enough care for it. Your job is simple. Do whatever we ask, which in your case will mostly be jobs running around the galaxy and delivering items."

The senator finished the meeting by pulling out a quick comlink, and from her droid, giving a quick farewell and a datapad of information. Where to find the ship, what passwords to use, and an updating job list that was constantly being edited, jobs added, and more often than not, being giving. The Senator once waved, then went to carving her ship.
