A Repetition of the Past

"Oh splendid, the Mistress would've been most pleased. Now then, onwards to whatever your fate may be." It had to be a trick, but you could almost hear metallic chuckling, like the droid was amused at last after so long alone in the tomb. The droid walked over to the opposite door from where Connor entered, and placed its hand in a hidden groove, opening the door.

The hallway beyond was scored by what had to be thousands of obvious lightsaber markings, like the rest of the tomb, but given the context of who could pass the droid it made it clear whatever happened here was Aria's own doing. And that obviously meant, she had fought someone in here..

"Tell me, what do you know of the fate of Darth Malgus?"

Following the droid, ready to act as to him this was nothing but a trap waiting to spring him, Connor nevertheless looked around and noted the signs of battle in the narrow passageway.

"I know nothing," he said, removing himself from any involvement in such history. "I don’t even think the name is of any great importance to us."

He looked at the droid, a faux puzzled expression on his face.

"Should I know this Malgus?”

"A shame, his is a tale of much learning. This way please." The droid pointed down a side passage, before leading Connor in that direction. Regardless of if the Jedi trusted it or not, it continued to speak. Now, however, it sounded much like a teacher rather than a guide.

"My Mistress was always fascinated with history, to the point of obsession. She researched countless relics, from Tulak Hord, to even earlier when she could aquire such treasures. Malgus was one figure which my Mistress knew well, he was a Sith Lord of significant power and authority. It was he who lead the assault which razed the Jedi Temple of Coruscant nearly to the ground. My Mistress had respect for his skill, and even for some of his rather progressive ideals.

His is a story of betrayal, and hubris. A valuable lesson, truly, as is much of Sith history. It is a shame that his story has fallen to time."

"Tell me then, as you are down here and obviously your Master has...abandoned you, why are you still here? What are you guarding?"

With the passageway a little narrow, it felt like they were going upwards which would, if Connor knew his geography of Korriban, be leading them into the mountains.

"However, I'm glad your mandate seems to be NOT to kill Jedi Knights."
