One who had never awakened before suddenly began to think.
What is this? His thought echoed through his metallic head as thoughts began to pound against him, knowledge soaring like a tidal wave suddenly crashing against a sandbar. It was so much, it was beautiful and terrifying and wonderful at the same time and he had no idea what he was or where he was or any of what was happening.
Technovore awakened for the first time, his eyes opening with a slight jolt and electrical hiss as he began to percieve the world. Everything was dark, he could still see, but it was dark. He examined himself before taking a singular step forward, feeling the ground catch his foot and hold it in place. He still was not sure who he was, he turned back to stare at the machine that had held him, it appeared to be something akin to a recharge station for droids, though he didn't know that. On the side of the machine was a singular word Technovore.
That is my name? I am Technovore? Where am I?
The building was quite small, and didn't seem to house any other purpose than to hold him. He felt a sort of tingle throughout his systems as he began to search for something he didn't even know was there. He found it, and awareness dawned on him as he connected with the Holonet for a brief moment before drawing away from it.
He was a droid, that was interesting. Was it normal for droids to think? No...it couldn't be. He was greater than a droid than, but he was not an organic being, that much could be told by the metallic crust covering him.
The crack of something entering atmosphere at high speeds was what made him step to a nearby table. On it sat a singular item, encased in glass. It appeared to be a weapon of some sort and a quick glance back into his memory identified it as an E-11 blaster.
Why is it here? Was it meant for me to use, or to use against me? He thought as he looked at the weapon, and then shattered the glass with his metallic form. He grasped the weapon, looking at it closer before turning to what appeared to be the doorway and opening fire on it.
It burst in an instant to what appeared to be just a long plain of nothing. He stepped outside into the daylight and in the distance of the sky he could see something; it was ignited and shattered as it fell towards the ground. He saw something else, a smaller something which was coming much closer, it cracked into the ground with an explosion of dust and metal fragments.
Interesting, I will go investigate it. He thought as he began to walk.
