A Precise Instrument (Hutt Cartel pm for invite)

"Like I said, I am very precise," Filius replied to her question, "I don't kill indiscriminately, I simply feel no emotion when I do kill. I don't take some sort of bloodlust-filled joy from killing." Filius sighed again.

"I have not terminated a target in a long while," Filius said, "There has been no job, no reason to. For most of my life I have been nothing but a tool for someone else to use to carry out their dirty work. I strike back in self-defense or when necessary, but I have not been able to fulfill my true reason for existing in a long time."

If Kay was listening closely, and had a good grasp of history, she might find that Filius sounded a lot like an assassin droid. In truth, that was essentially what he had been turned into. He was a deadly killer, but needed someone to direct him, to tell him to kill. He would intimidate, or fight back in self-defense, but without a target and a reason to eliminate that target, he was nothing but a common thug.

Kay lowered her head a little out of sadness for him. It truly was horrible for him to be in such a situation. She almost knew what that felt like. Almost.

"Go to the White Palace. There are bars in there. You'll most likely find a man named [member="Thraxis"] there. He's a pirate, second in command of the Jackals but also the Torturer for the Hutt Cartel. Buy him a drink, let him know your skills and he'll more than likely recruit you. If not, then I have allies in many different places that could help you find the Hutt you seek."

"I thank you for your help," Filius said, nodding to the woman he had revealed so many things to. He reached into a pocket of his tactical vest and pulled out a small datacard. This he handed to her.

"Here," he said, "One good turn deserves another. This is my comm frequency. I can get places I don't belong remarkably easily. You ever need access to somewhere you just can't get to, drop me a line and I'll get you in." This last part Filius said with the tiniest of grins crossing his serious expression.

"I won't let the Cartel control me," Filius said, "Not like Overlord did. The Hutts deserve to be taken down a peg every now and then."

Kay removed her helmet and tucked it under her arm before taking the datacard from him. [member="Filius Stellarum"] should know who he was talking to, so that he'd be able to recognize her if she needed him. "Thank you. My name is Kay." She grinned. "And you're right. The Hutts do need to be taken down a bit. I have my own Hutt rival."

Though he wasn't as bad as the Overlord it seemed. Though he was evil all the same.

"Nice to meet you Kay," Filius said, "I'm Filius." Their somewhat belated introductions complete, Filius gazed dramatically at the Nar Shaddaa skyline.

"I'd better get moving," he said, "Don't want to keep the Cartel waiting." With that, Filius disappeared as if by magic into the shadows of the alley.

(OOC: I already have an RP where I meet Thraxis in a cantina on Nar Shaddaa, so this will probably be my last post here. A transition of sorts. Thanks for RP'ing with me!)

Kay pocketed the datacard and bowed her head. "Good luck to you, Filius." She put the helmet back on, as much as she hated to wear the thing and headed off in the other direction.

((OOC: Awesome :) Thraxis is a great writer. Enjoy [member="Filius Stellarum"] ! ))
