Private A Poorly kept ship

Varloc stood near his damaged ship. By damaged, a engine was laying next to it, and half of the panels were missing. Varloc sighed, he was a fine pilot, not the by any means a amazing one, but good enough to get him places. The problem was that his old ship blew up for unkown reasons, probably the guy who wanted to buy his helmet and was rejected, and then he had to get a temporary one. The ship in 'good condition' as the dealer said, began to fall apart after one hyperspace jump.

Now Varloc was waiting for the locals to fix the ship enough for him to return to civilization, the Utai and the Pau'ans seemed to have no crafts for sale anywhere in this sink hole. The engineers told him it would be anywhere from a day to three before it could get off the ground. Varloc sighed again and left the platform where multiple sentient ran about getting tools. He walked around and decided to go find a place to meditate, probably a level a bit lower. Fortunately for Varloc he had a few extra credits to through around, taken from a sith vault years back, or else he would be in a bit more trouble.

Varloc found a small ledge that was away from the rest of the buildings around the sinkhole. He sat and then entered a deep meditative state, but as the fates always keep things interesting for Varloc, he got the same buzz in the back of his head. Something would happen, or someone was coming, he suspected the latter.

A single starfighter exited hyperspace above Utapau. Inside the cockpit, Natsu sat with his eyes closed. Utapau wasn't a special place for Natsu to visit by any means. But he had a feeling he was supposed to be there. The reason why was unknown to Natsu. Was it for work? Or would there be another Sith to hunt down on the planet. Those were the two typical feelings Natsu had when the Force called him to a planet, but for some strange reason, the feeling was different from before. He felt no dark presence, and Utapau was certainly not known for any kinds of good work. Regardless, Natsu opened his eyes, and began the descent down to the planet. Landing on one of the platforms, Natsu observed a rather broken down ship. Parts scattered about, the ship was obviously in no shape to fly. He almost felt bad for whoever had to land on Utapau of all places for repairs.

Exiting the starfighter, Natsu pulled his hood over his head. As much as he enjoyed a good fight, unwanted attention seemed to find him whenever he went. Even Natsu wanted a break from fighting occasionally. A group of Pau'ans approached Natsu, all bowing to him. Unfazed, Natsu did not return the gesture.

"Greetings, and welcome to Utapau. It is not often that outsiders visit this planet, not to mention two in such a short succession. Although I must say, your ship is in much better condition than the previous visiter."

Raising his eyebrows, Natsu says, "Another is here? I figured that trash pile of a ship belonged to this backwater civilization."

Natsu briskly walked past the Pau'ans, searching for the nearest place that could accommodate him for some rest. As soon as he found one, he paid for a night's stay, and entered the small room he acquired. He took a seat on the bed, and crossed his legs. Pondering, for a moment what he should do on the planet, Natsu closed his eyes and reached out with the Force, searching for the presence of the other outsider. As he searched, he felt something rather strong, or specifically someone. Snapping his eyes open, Natsu exited the establishment, setting off in the direction of the presence he felt.

Varloc Varloc

Varloc felt the being come closer to his location. He sensed power in this one, and the force. He then heard the sentient approach, he was just around the corner. Varloc sensed his aura, it was neutral, and he believed that the being didn't come to harm, but you can never be too sure. Varloc then put up a shield, not one with physical properties, but one that would protect his mind and aura from being porbed.

Varloc turned his head to look at the coming person, he stayed seated but ready to move in a instant. As the man rounded the corner, Varloc noticed how young he was, barely out of his teen years. Though Varloc suspected he was a strong warrior. He was tall and had a imposing stature, he had mid length brown hair and his eyes a electric blue.

The two looked at eachother for a moment, Natsu's eyes did not stay steady as they tried to find a place to rest on Varloc's mask. Varloc then stood, not wishing to make the moment awkward for the man.

Varloc was the first to speak. He kept his tone neutral and free of any form of emotion. Greetings, I am Varloc. May I request to know your name?

The man that faced him intrigued Natsu. Looking him up and down, they appeared to be nearly the same size. Not to mention, the strange man chose to make the first move. This was unfamiliar territory. Natsu prided himself on his intimidating aura, and most fell prey to Natsu's natural mind games. However, this man seemed to not care. As he continued to scan over the man before him, Natsu's eyes once again rested on Varloc's mask. His eyes widened a bit.

"It depends on who you associate yourself with. Some call me Death. Others call me Natsu. But, that is besides the point. That mask. It has to be a replica. You couldn't have possibly obtained that ancient mask. The power behind it, no man but Revan could possibly wear it. It is almost as legendary as Vader's."

Natsu tried to probe Varloc's mind, seeking answers. To his frustration, he couldn't access it. He's a cautious one. I couldn't tell by his demeanor.

Natsu made the same move as Varloc, shielding his thoughts and aura. He had no intention of allowing the man to know just how much Natsu revered Revan. Through his studies of galactic history, Revan was an icon that caught Natsu's interest more so than any other legendary figure. If that was truly Revan's mask, then Natsu would stop at nothing to claim it for himself.
Varloc Varloc

It is. Protected and passed down through the new Revanites. As for how I can where it. Well let's say the spirit of the Prodigal Knight is on my side. He said. Indeed it was passed down by the Revanites, they no longer followed the sith, but instead the true teachings of Revan. Revan was surprised by this young man's knowledge, he truly knew a bit.

Suddenly the air around him seemed to turn cold. Varloc's hand lingered near his lightsaber, he moved slowly, slow enough for someone to not notice. Natsu's eyes seemed to narrow, becoming dangerous. This would be interesting to say the least.

Varloc suspected by the man's posture and his demeanor that he was a fighter, a good one. But his tone told Varloc that he was arragont, somthing Varloc could use against his younger opponent. Varloc was a good swordsman, but his primary weapon was not his blade, but his intelligence. He analyzes his enemies to then learn their weaknesses, then exploit those weaknesses. A technique that has not yet failed him.

"Revan was a true master of battle. I wonder, Varloc, if you are one truly worthy to wear the mask."

Natsu's eyes seemed colder than carbonite, locked onto the mask covering Varloc's face. Red markings, as if the skin was being cut but allowing no bleeding began to form underneath Natsu's eyes. Feeling the force flow through him, he took off his robe, and summoned his lightsaber to his hand. Natsu was like Varloc in a way. He always observed his opponent before a fight, in order to find holes in their defense and personality. To his anger, Natsu found it difficult to come up with a strategy to defeat the Revanite. He knew that he had to be perfect. The mask offers hidden advantages, and Natsu had no intention of falling prey to a trap.

Igniting his white blade, the hum of his lightsaber filled the quiet of the street. There was nobody around.

Tilting his head, Natsu says, "Time to see what you are made of."

The white blade twirled in Natsu's hand as he took a long step towards Varloc. Feeling the Force propel his arm, Natsu swung his lightsaber blade from leg to chest, hoping to leave a large cut in the Revanite's chest.

Varloc Varloc

Natsu's first assault was simple and expected. The taking off of the robes was a clear indicator of what to come, Varloc however let Netsu make the first move. Varloc stepped back and out of the warriors range, Varloc had little room to move on this ledge, but his opponent also was in the same predicament.

Varloc after moving out of the way immediately ignited his lightsaber, blocking two more strikes. Varloc then went on the offensive, striking quickly and only small blows. Varloc hoped he could move Natsu back and off the ledge and onto a larger area. Varloc knew this would be a tough fight, Natsu was a ferocious fighter, with a balance of skill and strength.

Varloc himself was not to shabby in combat. He had fought many battles on many sides, in his time as a Jedi he bagan his studies of the art of the blade. As a Sith tool he strengthed those skills and leaned how to fuel a series ferocious lightsaber attacks. And as his time searching for the balance, he mastered the true forms of Lightsaber combat. This would be truly interesting.

Deflecting the small, but fast blows Natsu continued to read his opponents movements. He seems to be gaging my skill. Otherwise, these attacks would have more force behind them.

Natsu allowed Varloc to control the battle line, and began to move back with each strike into the open area behind them. Once they had reached a proper open space, Natsu parried one of the small blows, and began his own offensive. Circling to the left, Natsu began a flurry of small but precise slashes, aiming for the hand of Varloc. The strikes intention was to either destroy Varloc's lightsaber, or cut off his hand. Natsu varied between targeting the Revanite's hand as his lightsaber, swinging the lightsaber back and forth to overwhelm Varloc's defenses.

Varloc Varloc

Varloc felt as Natsu's lightsaber grazed his hand, he gave off a small grunt. Varloc brought up his blade to catch his opponents. Natsu was a skilled fighter, his abilities with a blade greater than his years. Varloc wished for this fight to end quickly, he did not come here for a lengthy engagement.

Varloc stepped out of his opponents attacks, he waited for a good moment. He saw one when Natsu was readying a strike, both hands on his lightsaber coming in for a power strike. Varloc, using his open hand took in the force energy around him, it combined into a ball of pure force energy. Before Natsu could react, Varloc released it at his opponent. For the worst the energy would push Natsu back, at best it would shred his skin to pieces. Varloc doubted the latter.

Natsu barely had time to register the ball of energy coming his direction. Natsu quickly deactivated his lightsaber and shielded himself with a Force barrier, but he only had time for small one. The ball connected square into Natsu's chest, sending him flying several feet back into a wall. Slamming into the wall, Natsu was disoriented, but none the less stood up. He stared down Varloc, and spat blood out of his mouth. Reaching up, Natsu shattered a nearby window with the Force, and flung the glass shards at his opponent. Igniting the white blade once more, Natsu began to close the distance between him and the Revanite.

He had time to form a Force attack in that flurry? His concentration must be on a complete different level from mine. I have to be more cautious, unless I wish to catch a deadlier attack.

The force attack was secsussful, good. Natsu was quick to lunch glass at Varloc, though he reached out and shredded and slowed the glass into harmless tiny shards. The glass came into contact with Varlocs helm and armor harmlessly. You'll have to do better than that. Said Varloc. As Natsu closed the gap Varloc brought up his blade, ignoring the searing pain on his hand.

Varloc reached out in the force, this time not really balling together force energy but reaching out. Natsu seeing the illusion that Varloc was casting would make him think he would docthe same trick again but he would be wrong. Varloc reached out and pulled at the wall behind him, the lower level was old and was slightly unstable, he would rip out the structure behind Natsu and pull it twords himself. Even if Natsu could react in time Varloc would press his attack, careful to avoid debris. Natsu would be forced to choose or flee.

Natsu, already wary of force attacks coming his way, prepared for the ball of Force energy coming his way. Instead, he heard crumbling behind him. Turning to look, he saw debris crashing towards him. Choosing not to flee, Natsu was becoming frustrated with how much he needed to deactivate his lightsaber to concentrate on the force attacks of the skilled fighter opposing him. Extending his arms, Natsu did not stop the debris that was coming his way. Using the Force, he directed the debris that was going to hit him around him, and begin throwing it at the advancing Varloc.

Natsu needed time to think, form a strategy. After the debris had been properly redirected and thrown, Natsu's white blade came to life again, but this time, Natsu assumed a different stance than before. Natsu spread his legs and extended his left hand, as well as pointing his blade at the Revanite, but kept it near his head. Natsu did not charge to meet Varloc, but allowed him to come to Natsu.

"Your tricks are unbecoming of a supposed follower of Revan, but I must say I am impressed with your control over the Force. Perhaps you are worthy of wearing the mask. But it still exists to be claimed."

The debris were hurled his way, Varloc reached out again turning the rocks to sand and letting the paneling fly past him and fall to the ground. He looked at Natsu he stood in a ready position, he spook with hints of frustration. His frustration would be a good ally in this fight. Varloc was surprised by the young man's patience however, for Natsu stood ready instead of attacking.

I have fought many enemies, some more powerful than you. And I do not wish to draw the blood of a lost boy. All you care for is profit, you want this mask for its value and power. You can become more than a Barbarian, who will never strive to be anything more. That is why I offer you a chance, your skills are great, but I do not think you will last. We can end this fight of nothing, but you must end this foolish aggression.

He spoke calmly. He wasn't sure what the boy would choose, but he had potential to be somthing more. Varloc only hoped.

He was no longer approaching. This did not suit the form that Natsu had decided to use, so Natsu once again change his stance, bringing his saber to his side, and relaxing his body.

"A chance? A chance at what? To serve good, to serve the light? You sound like a Jedi. My path is my own, and I will not be bound by any order that attempts to force away my ideals."

Natsu once again pressed an offensive. The small conversation had allowed Natsu to come up with a strategy to defeat his opponent, although his focus was no longer on ending the life of Varloc. A skilled practitioner of the Force would be able to sense the sudden absence of intent to kill. Quickly closing the distance once more, Natsu pooled his Force enhancement into his speed, and he feinted a strike intended to decapitate Varloc, instead quickly spinning his blade in his hand to cut off the Revanite's hand.

Varloc grew tired of this fight, Natsu faked faked his strike and instead went for the hand. Varloc knew the blade was too fast, and in order to save his hand Varloc sacrificed his lightsaber. Varloc heard the blade go silent and he knew it was cut in half, though Varloc was now without a weapon.

Varloc would end this fight and now he cared little if Natsu would be killed or mangled. Varloc dodged his next strikes and pushed them off with the force, getting ready for his attack. Varloc stepped back slipped past him by using a force push, now he was near the door, another advantage. Varloc brought up his right hand and released a torrent of Lightning, and with his inherent he began to collapse the ceiling. As he did he stepped back near the door. Varloc was well known for his force attacks, once disintegrating the body of a dark force user. Unfortunately for him the being was also a regenerating demon.

Several swear words flew through Natsu's mind as if a storm had taken over. Quickly sheathing the lightsaber, Natsu pooled all of his energy into saving himself, using the Force to maintain the ceiling's structure. This, however, left him completely vulnerable to attack, and he knew this. Smiling, the battle marks disappeared from his face, and Natsu sighed. "You win. Keeping the ceiling from collapsing is taking all of my concentration, and well, if I pushed the attack any further I would be crushed."

Natsu stepped back and let the ceiling crumble before him, smashing into the floor with loud individual thuds echoing. "It appears I am the stronger lightsaber duelist, but you are actually effective in actively using the Force in combat."

Dipping his head, Natsu continued. "I was never taught that. It was drilled into me that a lightsaber is all you need to defeat your foes. To let the Force flow through my body, that the Force was a tool to make my swordsmanship sharper. But you have displayed real power, beyond lightsabers."

Natsu raised his head, and as if staring Varloc in his eyes through the legendary mask, Natsu says, "Teach me how to be strong like you. Please."

Varloc tilted his head. A change of heart? He laughed. Well if you really want me to teach you I could. But there is something I need from you. Said Varloc he turned and gestured for Natsu to follow him. He used the force to send the remnants of his lightsaber to his hand as he walked to the hallway. He started the remnants on his belt, and folded his arms behind his back.

I need to trust you first of all, we just ended a fight to the death a moment ago. And there will be a few changes you need to make. But we can come to that later.

They now came out of the hall and they were near the landing pad.
Are you sure that this is what you wish to do?

Nodding, Natsu says, "You are one worthy to wield the helmet of Revan. It makes me question how you would have stacked against him. According to you, you have faced stronger than me before. You can think of me as beskar. Unshaped, I am still strong. However, when forged into a tool, I can become one of the strongest weapons to enter a battlefield."

Looking at Varloc's ship, Natsu comments, "I am assuming that pile of trash is your ship. Although my starfighter can technically fit 2, it will be an uncomfortable ride for you to wherever our next destination."

Returning his gaze to Varloc, Natsu finishes with, "So what next."

Varloc frowned at the young man's arragont words, though he could remember a day when he was the same. Varloc held up his hand to signal Natsu to wait. He was able to convince the locals to buy the remains of his ship, he only got a few hundred out of it, but he still had a few extra credits. Varloc returned to Natsu.

I was able to get information on a ship I can buy, it will be adequate. As for where we are going. Volik, there is a small Je'daii enclave there. Meet me there, go to the old bandit caves, ask for a guide if you wish. There I will teach you. Understand? Said Varloc as he pockted his credits.

Natsu nodded, as words were no longer needed. Boarding his starfighter, Natsu paid the fee for landing his ship on Utapau, and launched off the planet. Truly, the Force works in mysterious ways. Apparently there was a reason for him to have journeyed to Utapau. Varloc could open new doors for Natsu, refine him better than his father ever could. Punching in the coordinates for Volik, Natsu entered hyperspace, ready to enter the next step of his journey.
